PPC landing page cannibalizing the Organic page's juice?

I have a PPC campaign pointing to a custom landing page.
I also have a different webpage for the same product that is optimized to rank organically (on the same site).
1. Should I noindex the PPC landing page so it doesn't steal the thunder from my organic webpage?
2. If so, does noindex damage the adwords quality score?
3. Should I just give the PPC landing page a different Title tag that doesn't cannibalize my organic page and call it a day?
4. Does a PPC landing page need a title tag for a better adwords quality score?

yes no-index all ppc landing pages, so they wont impact your seo.

You should keep meta title relevant to the ad group/keywords, as this will slightly impact your quality score. However remember that quality score is primarily based on click thru rate...very little of your quality score comes from text ads or landing page relevancy. My AdWords rep told me that if I have the keyword in the text ad, meta title, and a few times in the page content, you are good. After this, just focus on click thru rate.

Hey, I will second this opinion here.

Definitely no-index your landing page if it is not for a search engine audience & ensure you keep the content of the page consistent as that will have an impact on page relevance and quality score.

Think consistent messaging from keyword to advert copy to landing page.

I believe no index is a good option and in my practices I haven’t seen the quality score changes due to no-indexing of the page.

I would highly recommend not changing the title tag to add something irrelevant as title tag have a direct impact on quality score!

I want to try some Google PPC ads on other sites but don't know what i'm doing.

We have seen a massive drop in traffic this year and i am contemplation using banner ads to try to increase sales and also to help with marketing. the problem is i know nothing about doing this. I have used it in the past but to limited success and i was just stabbing in the dark. I have a few questions. Am i better to target keywords related to the product or to the people who may buy my products? Is it better for direct sales or brand awareness? What kind of ROI can i expect if i get it working well? Is it better to pay for the big keywords or pic all the low hanging fruit? Does it work? Should i employ an expert, are they worth it? Any insights into the world of PPc would be a massive help.

I was listening to a podcast on site visibility's website and they were discussing www.hittail.com which is a piece of software which analyzes lists your

search traffic using long tail key words. The say they can come up with a list of long tail keywords which the
website could easily rank for hopefully straightaway in the top five positions
on Google and other search engines by creating a blog post are some relevant
content. Or you could use the information to form some anchor text links etc They say it's possible to produce up to 80% more traffic organically
once you are aware of which keywords are being overlooked by the website and
then produce the relevant content. The theory is that most people focus on the high traffic short tail
keywords and overlook the long tail keywords and I got to admit I actually fall
into that category unfortunately. Anybody uses particular website? And what is your experience of targeting the
longtail keywords have they produce good results ?

Hi all, We have thousands of PPC landing pages for our products. Usually, these pages are very similar and may differ only slightly for the keyword in question. The landing pages are sitting in a sub-domain of our site. From SEO perspective, assuming we don't want to get hit by Panda, Penguin and other animals Google stuffed into its ranking algorithm...Is it a good idea not to index these landing pages at all (i.e. add meta robots - noindex, nofollow to these pages)? Let's say I am targeting a keyword "Blue Widgets Cityname" with an AdWords campaign. My SEO landing page is coming up in position #6 in the organic results for this keyword. Because I have my website in the organic search results, does my quality score automatically improve? Conversely, my quality score could go up because the organic search results facilitate a higher CTR for both the ads and the organic results. However, I am wondering if there is a quality score algorithmic component that automatically makes my quality score go up simply because the same domain I am targeting is in the organic results.
