Moz client structure.

I am new to MOZ and am curious if each of my clients should have their own MOZ pro account or if I, ( ME the designer & optimizer ) just needs an account and i add each of the clients website to my account?
ie. do i log into 6 different clients MOZ accounts?
or do i personally create a MOZ account and each site is set up as a Campaign?
any advice?
thanks,
Chris -
Hey Chris,
It definitely makes sense that you would want to comment and post in your own name and you can definitely take over the account, but you must make sure that the client is fully comfortable with that since the client would lose all of the MozPoints that they have earned over time and they most likely wouldn't be able to gain the account back if you add other clients to the account since it is true that we cannot transfer campaigns between accounts. Also, if your client continues to pay for the account and they decide to take the account back, you would lose the data of your other campaigns.
I would recommend having your own master account if you intend to add more clients in the future so that this does not create an issue with the current client's account, but they may be fine with that situation so you would need to work out how you proceed directly with the client.
As for the reports, you can create a custom report that would be emailed directly to your client on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis and those reports will look exactly like the reports that you receive from the custom reports section.
Let me know if you need any further assistance.

My clients have never complained about the reports, in fact they think it is too much if anything.
it is also really customizable in your settings, you can choose what to include and what it should say.
i would not recommend giving your clients access to your account as they then also are able to view your other clients stats.

Thanks Jorgen, i think the master account setup will work best for the future work too - plus i can then build up a profile.
are the reports good enough for clients or is it nicer for them to login to moz? do they see the same info etc?
thanks everyone!

yeah thats what i was thinking - I started out looking into MOZ for a client who has paid for the pro account, however it seems odd as everything i comment on and try and do is set up in his name - i just want to get this figured out as i'm sure transferring campaigns from one account to another is impossible...
Down the road i might have more SEO campaigns but for now its just one client. so 99 / mo is plenty
it seems fairly easy to hijack this account - just to put it into my name for now to keep things simple. eventually i can just change / upgrade the account as i need i suppose.

H,
this is all up to you I guess.
i personally have a "master" account myself with each client requesting SEO as a campaign. There I have setup weekly or bi-weekly reports (based on clients needs) so they recethrill the information they need. I my opinion this is more convenient, but as said it is all up to you. Also with the normal pro version you can only 6 campaigns active.

My first thought would be how many sites & who's paying? For $199 a month you get the Pro Plus subscription with 12 campaigns. So it would be more cost effective to have your one account with 12 campaigns (even if you're only using 6) than to have 6 accounts (costing $594 a month total) with one site on each... Unless your clients want more control over their information and would prefer their own individual accounts that they pay for and give you access to in order to do your work. Have you spoken to your clients to see how they feel about it and what they would prefer?
(Though technically it is against the Terms of Service to to authorize others to use their account, profile, or messages.)

When will true multi-user log-in be available in Moz Pro? How about an archive?
Our team is growing and we are running into each others' research on the tool! Will our users ever be able to use their own instance of Moz? Also, how about a historical archiving function for research? Would be nice to record past research as similar requests come to us in the future. Wish list stuff - thx.

Can I move analytics campaigns from one Moz Pro account to another?
Hello all, hoping someone can help - couldn't find anything on this subject in the Q&A already... I'd like to associate some existing Moz analytics campaigns with a different Moz Pro account, is this possible? I know I could just start a new analytics campaign in the different pro account, but I don't want to lose all of the data Roger has already collected on the site; I feel it would be a tragedy after all his hard work, and it wouldn't be convenient for me. Hoping someone can help!

Why is Moz Crawl Diagnostics labelling pages as duplicate when they appear to be different?
Moz Crawl Diagnostics is flagging some pages on the Doorfit website as duplicate, yet the page content is completely different and not identical. Example. Page: http://www.doorfit.co.uk/locks-security/secondary-security Duplicate: http://www.doorfit.co.uk/seals-and-sealants?cat=279 Does anybody have any suggestions as to why this might be the case? Thanks

How to force MOZ crawlers to search in the right area for local SEO
We do local SEO over here and so our keywords are always followed by a city name, like so: "auto repair+Springfield". If there's ever any confusion within SERPS which "Springfield" the searcher is looking for we can depend on Google to pull query location to assume it's the nearest to them (it does, and is usually correct). And furthermore, if the office ever needs to check for rankings by hand (we're not in Springfield), we just set the query location to "Springfield" and our results match their. However, MOZ doesn't set a query location. Which makes sense, I suppose, because their crawlers are up in the Bay. What I'm saying is that oftentimes there's a discrepancy between how MOZ tells me they rank, and how I see them ranking, the business owner sees them ranking, and how the customer finds them ranking. As such, we can't send them reports through MOZ 😞 Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? Should the keyword be followed by a zip code instead of a city name? This seems like it would solve the location query problem but it may not provide the same results as service+city name.
