Seo and ads for Baidu (china)

Has anyone have experience doing seo for the baidu search engine? I have a client who wants to target businesses in china so we are exploring options for PPC and SEO. Any ideas or tips would be much appreciated?
I was thinking of getting a bi-lingual mini-site made that would catch leads from seo and ads. Can anyone suggest any chinese PPC/seo freelancers?

I manage a Chinese language website (www.kungfuenglish.com). I share the sentiments of the other responders who have suggested you host the site on a local server. In our experience, having a regular .com domain has not been a problem for us.
For the China SEO Service, I've been very happy with the service provided by Ryan and his team at www.chineseseoshifu.com.

I'm probably too late, but I still wanted to add my 2 cents. To do PPC on Baidu, you need to be a registered company in China and show them a copy of your business licence. This is why it is quite difficult to apply for a Baidu account if you are outside of China.
As far as SEO is concerned it might be also difficult to rank for competitive keywords. There are some differences between optimizing your site for Baidu, compared to Google.
Finally, if you want to have a chinese version of your site, you'd better host it in China and use a .cn name for loading time reasons but also to make sure your site will not be blocked in China.

I heard that you can buy ranks literally.
Most of the companies I know here is SEO about Google, because normally my chinese website get ranks for yahoo ( http://www.yahoo.cn/ ) , and google hk ( www.google.hk )

Unsolved How should I update the grouping of keywords in a google ads account
hi, I have a google adwords account running for a while in a fairly competitive market in a major city so there is only one geo location with many suburbs or council areas as popular searched. I have keywords that are 2-4 words long and very similar. I have had one keyword in its own campaign, several in one campaign and a location campaign. The location campaign has several adgroups for specific suburbs. My question is that the most popular search terms are similar but in different campaigns and I am wondering if this is not the best way. for example I have these keywords in separate campaigns as exact match and phrase match

PPC - Fixing the campaign so ads always rank in positions 1 - 3
Hi everyone, I have more of a SEO background than a PPC one so excuse me if this question seems simple. I have inherited a Google Adwords campaign and want to accomplish the following Fix the campaign so the ads only appear in positions 1 – 3. The campaign came with a relatively good structure. Can I dynamically add city name to my PPC ad text and URL based on the user's search?
I have looked into DKI (Dynamic Keyword Insertion), but have not found a solution and thought that some excellent Mozzer might be able to help. Here is the idea: We have landing pages for hundreds of cities. The local content on each of these cities changes page to page, however the keywords that we are going after are the same. What are the strongest and most-Google friendly directories to place my business on for the sake of large SEO gains? for the sake of Exposure to customers? What is the best way to invest for ROI nowadays? Thanks.

Is a business.com directory listing for $300 a solid investment to get a strong link? Is yext a good move? How about wildfire? Adwords: Brand ads appear bottom of SERPs
Hello, I'm running a sale promotion on a brand only Adwords campaign (I have the only account with trademark authorization) and have noticed that my ads are appearing at the bottom of the first page on Google. This happened last week so I split the campaign into three Adgroups and that fixed the problem but today I'm running brand only and there is no way to separate them. CPC has also increased dramatically. Normally it's less than 10 cents and now it's sitting at between $2-$4. Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas/advice on how to stop this happening?
