How does MOZ assign a keyword to a page in the On Page Grades by Keyword Ranking
-
I'm in the beta analytics tool. In the On Page Optimization > On Page Grades by Keyword section, there is a Keyword column with a keyword assigned to each URL on my site.
http://analytics.moz.com/search/on-page/572409.326269
How is the keyword that is shown here decieed upon? Is it simply based on a guess of the "best keyword" for each page based on kwp density and other factors?
Can I map a new keyword to each page? or at least to my top ten most important pages? I see I can check the grade for any keyword on any page here: http://analytics.moz.com/search/manage-page-grades/572409.326269. I want to map my top ten pages to ten keywords - can I save these changes in the system so I don't have to manually check a keyword/url match each time?

Welcome to Moz! Have you checked out http://moz.com/help/pro/on-page-reports? That can help answer some of your questions.
How We Generate Reports
The On-page summary automatically generates reports for any of your campaign keywords that rank in the top 50 of your primary search engine. The URL that it grades is the same URL that appears in the search results. For instance, if you have 75 keywords ranking in the Top 50, you should have 75 On-Page Reports. This generation happens automatically within 24 hours of when your rankings are updated.
Also, don't forget that you can always manually generate reports for any URL and one of your keywords. Simply go to the Report Card tab in the On-Page section, and cut and paste or type a new URL into the URL drop box. Then select your keyword from the drop down and select "Grade My Optimization." After that, you can tell the Web App to start tracking that combination in the future, and you should start seeing weekly reports. I hope this helps!

hello! i have a beginner question. i am taking over seo duties for an existing site with an existing Moz account. regarding "on page grades by keywords" tool, have these keywords and URLs been assigned by us previously manually or are these keywords assigned by moz as a recommendation?
also, how can i delete these or change the keyword for that page? it seems it was a previous seo for my site that assigned these keywords. they are wrong, how can i now get a grade for a URL with the proper updated keyword?

The keywords are decided by what is showing in the top 50 results for that keyword. We have some more details about the On Page Grader at http://moz.com/help/pro/on-page-reports

nuash,
You'll notice if you hover over the little "i" icon next to the column heading "URL" with an explanation of how those URls are populated. The URL and page title in that column reflect the search result for a keyword you've chosen for your campaign. So, you aren't able to map a new keyword to the url unless you reoptimize or better optimize the URL for the keyword you want that URL to rank for.

0 search volume for every keyword?
Hi, I've just joined Moz and every keyword I am searching for is showing 0 monthly search volume. I've tried popular words like 'dogs' or 'pizza' and they're still showing as 0 searches? How do I fix this? TImJxya

Keyword rank tracking across subdomains
I would like to track how keywords rank across blog.website.com and www.website.com without setting up separate campaigns for each. We don't care if the blog, or the main site rank, we just want something to rank and therefore want to track both sites in 1 campaign. Is there a way to do this without setting up a separate campaign for the subdomain and the main site?

Canonical url does not seem to be recognised by Moz
Hey guys, forgive me... brand new user of Moz. Moz is telling me I have duplicate url's - a lot of them. Investigating I see that it is classing http://creativedigital.co.nz/artprints/lake-tekapo-church-of-the-good-shepherd?tag=lake as a duplicate of http://creativedigital.co.nz/artprints/lake-tekapo-church-of-the-good-shepherd even though there is a canonical tag in head as follows I'm not quite sure what I am doing wrong. Any advice would really be appreciated 🙂 Mike

Correct Moz Settings for Tracked Keywords Summary
Hi,For some reason, on my tracked keywords summary page, the URL shown to the right of each keyword appears to default to my homepage and not the page I want that keyword to rank on. How do I resolve this? I've tried looking around but can't see how to change it so that the correct URL is shown against the correct keyword. Many thanks! Bob

Moz profile
Hi, For some reason when I try and add my site's link in my Moz profile I keep getting an error. My site an SSL so I used https instead of http. I tried again without the 's' as my domain redirects to the https version, but this didn't work. Then I tried without http or https and this didn't work either. Why does Moz hate my site? It's actually really good!!! Thanks, Amelia

Would be nice to be able to double-check if it is in fact duplicate and decide which to edit. Pls help! Thanks Moz!

Is there a difference between Moz Pro and Moz Analytics?
I thought that Moz Analytics was now included with Moz Pro. Is this true? I have Moz Pro and I was using the beta version of Moz Analytics back in October. When I log into Moz Analytics, the latest data stops at October 27th and there is no data after that. Is that an indication of when my trial period ended? I have the basic Moz Pro, does that include Analytics portion? Thanks!
