First, PR that you're going by is TBPR - Tool Bar Page Rank. This number is not the actual PageRank that Google assigns, which is private and never revealed. Also, the TBPR is not updated very often. Google have said they update it "infrequently" - typically only a couple / few times a year.
So that drop is not a very good indicator as to what's happening on the site.
Beyond that, your real PageRank is not the only thing to consider. The real assessment should come from reviewing visitor activity - how much traffic comes from organic listings, cross-compared to how many keyword phrases they use to find the site.
And that should only be measured when held up against total conversions - whatever calls to action you have. Because even a drop in organic visits might not be a bad thing if the total conversions increases due to a higher quality visitor base.

all backlinks comes from web 2.O (bookmarks, blogs...) my problem is I lost My PR 3 to 1 now and I don't know why exactly...I though it's up to backlinks because all people say that PR is related directly to your backlinks strategy..is that right??

Unfortunately there's not publicly available data on exact counts of new content or back links being a magic number. Every site in every market is different. What I can offer is this - first, if every article you write is high quality and unique, you could write many articles a day and should be fine. Each article would be weighed on its own and the entire site as a single entity at each Google pass.
As for using an automated link generator, that's where I'd be very cautious. Have you confirmed that the links you get from that source are coming from related, relevant sites? Are they diverse links in terms of anchor text? Are the links you get over time coming from a wide variety of domains located across a variety of I.P. blocks? Automated link building solutions are usually very risky at best. Especially if you're not obtaining links through means other than that one source.
Links should come from a wide variety of sources - and if a pattern of relationships can be detected it's a red flag. The actual number of links you get from one single natural path, such as submitting a viral piece of content could literally total in the thousands all in one day. Yet I highly doubt any automated link generating solution could match the diversity that would result in, though it's possible such software exists.
A solution like the one you mention is very questionable just from the marketing used on that single page site. Words like "how to legally hack", and "top secret", the fact that it's a one page site, just about EVERYTHING in that content screams it's most likely not a long term trustworthy solution.

Are backlinks within duplicate content ignored or devalued?
From what I understand, Googles no longer has a "Duplicate Content Penalty" instead duplicate content simply isn't show in the search results. Does that mean that any links in the duplicate content are completely ignored, or devalued as far as the backlink profile of the site they are linking to? An example would be an article that might be published on two or three major industry websites. Are only the links from the first website GoogleBot discovers the article on counted or are all the links counted and you just won't see the article itself come up in search results for the second and third website?

Getting Authority Social Blogs to Index
We have a few authority blogs that I manage to help increase our brand awareness and build power to our website. We have Blogspot, Wordpress, Tumblr & Typepad. Our content get's a summary syndicated to our authority blogs with an attribution link back to the original post. I also manually check them one a month to make sure it looks good and the content syndicated correctly. I even add unique content to these blogs once in awhile. I recently realized that the majority of the pages are not indexing. I added the blogs to our GSC & Bing webmasters and submitted the sitemaps. This was done on December 11th, as of now some pages indexed in Google and Bing says the sitemaps are still pending... Blogspot - 32/100 pages indexed Wordpress - 34/81 pages indexed Tumblr - 4/223 pages indexed Typepad - 3/63 pages indexed Can anyone help me figure out why I can't get Google to index more pages or Bing to process the sitemaps timely?

When is Too Many Categories Too Many on a eCommerce site?
We all know that more and more people are increasing the amount of different categories that eCommerce sites have. Say for example, you have over 3,000 different products, all categories contain unique text at the top of each, all of the categories link to each other (so loads on internal linking) and no two categories contain the exact same products. My question is this, is there ever a stage that you could create too many categories? Alternatively, do you think you should just keep creating categories based on what our customers search for?

Did I get hit with a panda update?
I have a site that is a marketplace. We don't own any items, the sellers fill everything out and then it goes up on the site. Many of our sellers also have their own sites and just send us a spreadsheet with all of their items and we bulk upload. In that case what we are putting up is very similar to what they already have up on their own site. I used the Fruition penalty checker and they seem to be suggesting that we got hit with some penalties for Panda and Quality Content. With the Google Algorithm it is hard to know for sure what we got hit with. Is it possible Google sees us as one of those crappy scraper sites? Is there anything we can do? We never see the items so I can't add to peoples description.

301 / 404 & Getting Rid of Keyword Pages
I had a feeling that my keyword focused pages were causing my site not to rank well. I do not have that many keywords. I have 2 main keyword phrases along with 6 city locations. For example (fake) "tea house tampa" "tea house clearwater" "tea house sarasota" and "tea room tampa" "tea room cleawater" "tea house sarasota". So, I don't feel that I need that many pages. I feel like I can optimize my home page and maybe 1 or 2 topic pages. Right now, I have a keyword for each of those phrases. These are all internal pages on 1 domain. Not multiple domains. Sooo... I tested it by 301ing a few of my "tea house" KW pages to the home page. And low and behold... my home page rose BIG TIME! Major improvement! I'm talking like 13th to 2nd! Here is my question... how should I proceed? My SEO has warned me against 301ing too many pages all pointing to the home page. He says that will negatively impact my ratings. Should I 404 some pages? Should I build a "tea room" topic page and 301 that set there? What is worse? 301 or 404? How many is too many? I'm really excited by these results, but I'm scare to move forward and hurt what has happened. Thanks in advance!

Uncontrollable Spammy Backlinks - Disavow or Not?
Hey Mozzers, I have ran a few different backlink reports, and I noticed that one of my sites has an incredible amount of spammy backlinks. These were not done by a prior SEO, they are simmply spammy links that were scraped and inserted on terrible sites, forums, directories, etc. 100% uncontrollable. The anchor text includes anything from the domain to "live sex" and "victoria's secret coupons". There are probably close to 700 or so of these backlinks from around 150-200 domains. I have read that one should contact the webmaster, and use disavow as a last resort, but I am not sure if that advice is for spammy link building techniques, which we have no history of doing. Is this normal? What is the best way to handle this? Is it likely that these are affecting this site's ranking at the moment? The number of spammy links drastically affects the ratio of quality backlinks to spammy backlinks. This is so frustrating...

How many time should a keyword be used in the body of text?
We employee an outside agency to write content for our website as we do not have the ability in house to write unique and good quality content. They have just sent an article which is around 300 words. I told them the keyword phrases to use. When I got the document there is only 1 instance of the keyword phrase(s) in it. Now there seems to be a conflict here amongst posts I have read and general SEO advise as to how many times it should be present (SEOmoz indicates 4 times for instance), our outside agency says it doesn't matter. Now if I have a page optimised for 2 keywords this starts making things tricky and probably looks keyword stuffed to the reader. Assuming the keywords are present once in meta tags, H1, meta descriptions and alt text, what do people think is best practice taking into account recent panda updates? Thoughts appreciated. Thanks Craig
