The authorship image is not appearing anymore

It shows up in testing but not on the search engine.

Hi there! This Authorship troubleshooting guide by Janet Driscoll Miller may help.
-
We have all been preparing for this! Barry Schwartz wrote an article discussing just this:
_"As many of you know, Matt Cutts, Google's head of search spam, announced at PubCon that you should expect a 15% reduction in the amount of rich snippets and authorship displayed in the Google search results." _
http://www.seroundtable.com/google-rich-snippet-reduction-17579.html
I hope that helps shine some light on this.

Thanks. Anyone can help?

Hey,
This is just the type of thing that I've seen happen to me. From all the digging I've done (not extensive) I can only assume that Google makes a decision on the fly as to weather to show the image or not.
Maybe it's something to do with the search terms used?
What is the USR you are testing search for. Maybe the MOZ community could search for your keywords and see if the image shows?
Regards
Steve

Not all images indexed in Google
Hi all, Recently, got an unusual issue with images in Google index. We have more than 1,500 images in our sitemap, but according to Search Console only 273 of those are indexed. If I check Google image search directly, I find more images in index, but still not all of them. For example this post has 28 images and only 17 are indexed in Google image. This is happening to other posts as well. Checked all possible reasons (missing alt, image as background, file size, fetch and render in Search Console), but none of these are relevant in our case. So, everything looks fine, but not all images are in index. Any ideas on this issue? Your feedback is much appreciated, thanks

Error: The URL you entered does not appear to be returning a page successfully
I keep getting the above error when I'm trying to look at the page optimization for a new blog page we have uploaded. It was posted over a week ago, so I assumed it would be indexed by now. Any thoughts on why it isn't working? The page is: http://www.esg.co.uk/blog/blog/2015/why-is-air-quality-testing-so-important/#.VmlBmLiLRpg Thanks

Images on sub domain fed from CDN
I have a client that uses a CDN to fill images, from a sub domain ( images.domain.com). We've made sure that the sub domain itself is not blocked. We've added a robots.txt file, we're creating an image sitemap file & we've verified ownership of the domain within GWT. Yet, any crawler that I use only see's the first page of the sub domain (which is .html) but none of the subsequent URL's which are all .jpeg. Is there something simple I'm missing here?

¿Seo issue with loading product images into an iframe?
Hi there, Recently, I modified the structure of my product page to load the images into an iframe, instead of using the img tag directly . The reason is because I wanteddd product videos(YouTube) to be shown in the same iframe. My question is: If the attributes of the images are correctly set, from a SEO perspective, Do you see any problem with that approach? I know Google bot wasn't very good crawling iframes in the past. Thanks a lot. Best regards.

404 not found page appears as 200 success in Google Fetch. What to do to correct?
We have received messages in Google webmaster tools that there is an increase in soft 404 errors. When we check the URLs they send to the 404 not found page:
Technical SEO | | Madlena
For example, http://www.geographics.com/images/01904_S.jpg
redirects to http://www.geographics.com/404.shtml.
When we used fetch as Google, here is what we got: .
#1 Server Response: http://www.geographics.com/404.shtml
HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Thu, 26 Sep 2013 14:26:59 GMT
What is wrong and what shall we do? The soft 404 errors are mainly for images that no longer exist in the server. Thanks!0 -
Same image file with different alt text?
I have an image that represents 'widgets'. The image works for more than one kind of widget. I have two pages, one optimized for 'blue widgets' and one optimized for 'red widgets'. I would like to use the same 'widgets' image on both pages but change the alt text to be 'blue widgets' or 'red widgets' depending on the page it is used on. Should I: (1) use the same image on different pages with different alt text. (2) duplicate the image file and have two copies 'red_widgets.jpg' and 'blue_widgets.jpg' and then use each copy on the page optimized for the corresponding phrase. (3) create distinct, unique image files (where the pixels are different, not just the file names) for each kind of widget. This is a simplified example of a larger SEO problem where I have 1 image that can be useful on 20 pages that are each optimized for 20 different phrases. Should I use the same image with 20 different alt tags, or create 20 identical (but renamed) copies of the image, or create 20 slightly different image files (with different pixels in each image)? Thanks.
