How to Create an Infographic
-
Kindly let me know how to create inforgraphic I am non designer. Any Best tool or template to buy to create infographic?
-
To throw another possibility out there, Mark: As a MOZ Pro member, you can take advantage of a MOZ Perk for PiktoChart, which is one of the top online infographic design sites. (You get 60 days of PiktoChart Pro for $1.)
I have to agree with Dennis though - you might very well be better off hiring an experienced designer to create one for you. As with so many digital technologies, just having access to the tools is not automatically going to produce a worthwhile product. Good infographics take considerable design skill. It's just like photography - just because you have a copy of Photoshop doesn't mean you will be able to create beautiful photographs.
If you do decide to create it yourself, be prepared to invest a considerable amount of time in the project.
Good luck!
Paul

Lots of great options as the other two have suggested, I'll just through two more out there:
- Infogr.am is a very popular, free tool for creating infographics
- Google's Databoard creates infographics using Google's research study data (although you can't download or embed the infographic unfortunately)
-
There are few sites that lets you create info-graphics
Also if you want to create info-graphics based on already existing data I highly recommend Google public data explorer. You can do some really cool graphs and animations there.

Honestly, i would just hire someone. There are a lot of great designers that could make it for you as long as you provide the outline. Sometimes, you'll get someone as low as $80 for one and it looks great. I would focus on the content of the graphic and pour my suggestions over to a designer.
If you really want to, then Adobe illustrator does the best output for me. It has templates scattered around the internet as well.

Creating two websites from one and building up traffic to the new domain quickly
A client has an existing successful website that sells niche products - they are well known in their marketplace. They have two sets of key customers, let's call them (a) and (b), that need addressing in different ways to maximise sales. (a) is the more specialist end of the market, where people have complex needs - there are fewer of them but repeat business is likely, and we can talk to them in more technical language. (b) is the layman's end of the market - there is a vast pool of potential customers but they'll be more casual buyers and need to be addressed more in layman's terms. So what they want to do is to take their existing website, and essentially split it into two different websites, one for each market. The one that will use the existing domain, with all the links that have built up over the years pointing to it, will be the site for the more specialist end of the market (a). The domain name suits it better, which is why he wants to use the existing domain with that site and not the other. (b) will be a brand new domain. The client will write new product descriptions across the board so that the two sets of product information are not duplicate. I'd rather he didn't do this at all, because of the risk involved, and the difficulty of building up the traffic to the new site, which is after all the one with the best chance of mass market sales. But given that the client has decided that this is definitely what he wants, does anyone have any thoughts on what the action plan should be?

Creating Individual Posts w/ Excerpts from Expert Columns On Your Website
Hey Moz Fam! I have a question regarding adding excerpts from guest posts/expert columns to your website. The reason this came up to begin with is we want to find a way to track ALL our social media posts engagement. When we share guest posts links, we obviously cannot track when someone clicks it since its not going to our own website. The idea was if we create an individual page with an excerpt from the guest post, then add a "read full post" button that links back to it, we could then instead share that excerpt post from our website to social media so we can track it. Then the user could go to view the full post on the actual guest article from there if they wish. We wanted to create a page titled "Media" and have all those posts categorized to fall on that page. Then canonicalize all of the individual posts to the top level media page. My question is... we've spent a lot of time and money on creating pages with unique quality content and updating any thin content to make it not thin. These new excerpt pages will be thin content, is that going to negatively impact our SEO? We're not trying to rank these excerpt pages or anything. I just want to make sure that adding these excerpt posts with only 100-200 words each is not going to hurt our overall SEO strategy.

Reuse an old juicy URL or create a new with the best practices?
I'm optimizing a site with all new URL`s, categories, titles, descriptions. All URL's will change but I've old URLs with a lot of backlinks, SEO juice. What is better for SEO with them: 1 - Change those URLs and 301 redirect traffic to the new page.
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | Tiedemann_Anselm
2 - Keep the URL and work just on new title, description, etc. In option 1 I understand that I'll lose some SEO juice because of the redirect, but the new URL will be correct. In option 2 everything will be strong except from the URL that will make less sense than with option 1. It will not exactly match the product name, title. It`s a reuse of a strong URL.0 -
Alrogthimc penalty due to pharma hack that created drug links to home page. What to do?
Our site: Starcitylimo.com got destroyed by a pharma styled hack to their wordpress site. After having to re build the site from scratch to remove the virus, it was found that hundreds or even thousands of pharma links from overseas sites point to his home page (so we can't just 404 the pages). Contacting the sites for removal does nothing. Added to dissavow 4 months ago did nothing. He's page 5 for every keyword he was position 5 or better for. Is this one of those situations where its time to move on to a new domain?

Help with creating a widget
I would like to create a widget that I can give to other website owners to place on their blog. Obviously the point of doing this is to get backlinks. The widget is a simple calculator. (Think of it like a mortgage calculator). I see that there are two ways of creating widgets: 1. Javascript 2. Iframe I've been reading this excellent tutorial on building a widget using javascript and jquery:http://alexmarandon.com/articles/web_widget_jquery/. However, with my limited knowledge of javascript it's going over my head. I understand that if I offer a widget that is in an iframe that the links don't get counted as backlinks, but rather as links from my own site. But, what if I offered code like this: <iframe src="http://www.mysite.com" width="300" height="250"></iframe> This tool was provided by MySite Would that be helpful to me?
