Reporting for a US subfolder: New campaign or just add US kw & engines to existing
-
Hi
My UK based client is about to target the USA via a domain.com/US/ subfolder
For reporting purposes do you (either Moz staff or Mozzers with experience or pref both) recommend setting up a new campaign or simply adding US engines and KW to existing campaign ?
In regard to all other reporting options as well so not just keyword rankings
All Best

Hey Dan,
Thanks for the question. Which one you do really depends on how you want to report on the new subfolder. You could in theory set that up as a new subfolder campaign but you'll want to make sure that the entire US focused site is based off that subfolder.
It sounds like you want to be able to analyze and site issues in general with that so a new campaign may be the best option.
That being said that will require open keyword and campaign slots. So keep that in mind.
Maybe another Moz user who's done something similar can chime in with their personal experience.Cheers,
Joel.

What do you do when there is significant movement when checking a Ranking & Algorithm tracking tool?
I've checked various Ranking & Algorithm tracking tools (SEMrush, Mozcast etc.) and since 12th Jan 18 there has been a lot of 'turbulence' in terms predicted Google algorithm changes. This has been 'high' for the past 2 weeks. Question is, would you 'hang tight and ride the wave' or 'act fast'? Our actual rankings haven't really been affected positively or negatively - so I'm thinking I should just ride the wave to see what happens but keep a close eye on the rankings?

Duplicating a Report to monthly from weekly
Is there a way to duplicate a weekly report and also run it monthly without redesigning it from scratch? I have a great report a client loves but they also want to see it monthly. Thanks! Melinda

External links that don't exist
I did a crawl test and it shows that there are 2215 external links on my home page here: https://www.playshakespeare.com An "External Link" is defined here: https://moz.com/researchtools/crawl-test "Number of links on a page that point to a page that is not on the same domain as that page." There are NOT 2215 external links on that page. There are only a handful at any given time. Why is the crawl test reporting thousands over that?

Dashboard module in Custom report
Hello Earth I'm putting a custom report together for higher management and have added the dashboard module as a good starting point. However, all I want from it is the overall visit & visit break down and the domain authority data, all the 'Mentions Found' 'On Page Wins' 'Ranking Highlights' info is just making the report over long and less to the point. Is there anyway of taking some of the dashboard into the report instead of the whole kaboodle? Or is there another module that will give me total visits not just organic? Many Thanks in advance Chris

Keyword Difficulty Search Engine Selection
I'm using the Keyword Difficulty tool. Â The results generated are Bing search engine results, even though I have selected Google for the search engine. I cannot get this feature to work, and I've tried it in both Chrome and Firefox. What's going on here...??

Can we export branded reports from Moz Analytics Beta yet?
Hey guys, Just looking around the new Moz-alytics (droooool) and it is superb, but are we able to export and build reports from it yet? Or is this something that will be in the final release? Apologies if this has already been asked. Regards! Joe Sturgess

Blocked Production Site from Search Engines - How to get it Crawled by Moz Crawler
I have an 'under development' site hosted, (which is an exact replica of live site as working on to add new functionalities & modules) - but its password protected, excluded from robots.txt (Disallow) & also marked noindex on all pages in the index - so that Googlebot & other Search Engines can not crawl the site At present the development work is almost 95% completed., Now - feel like to crawl the site through SEOMOZ Roger Bot - to know the errors and all indexed urls by Rogerbot. What's the best way to get Moz Bot crawl the site - but simultaneously continue it blocking its access to Search Engines I have gone through - https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/93708?hl=en, it says a) Save it in a password-protected directory. Googlebot and other spiders won't be able to access the content-  But this way Moz will also not be able to crawl the site b) Use a robots.txt to control access to files and directories on your server - However it also says - It's important to note that even if you use a robots.txt file to block spiders from crawling content on your site, Google could discover it in other ways and add it to our index. c) Use a noindex meta tag to prevent content from appearing in our search results - It also says that a link to the page can still appear in their search results. Because we have to crawl your page in order to see the noindex tag, there's a small chance that Googlebot won't see and respect the noindex meta tag Password Protected thus seems the best way to continue blocking. However, continuing with it will also block Moz bot to crawl the site. Any suggestions Thanks
