Massive increase in Moz crawl.
-
I have a subdomain which has just started to be crawled by Moz, Previously this wasn't the case.
The sub-domain had 16,000+ issues. Why has Moz started to count sub-domains as part of the main domain, has Google started to do this aswell?

Hi Dave!
Thanks for reaching out! My name is Anne, and I helping the Mozzer Alliance today! There could be a few different reasons we've just started crawling this subdomain:
1. Did you recently link this subdomain to your site differently? Our crawler starts with your home page and uses recursive crawling to find pages on your site through the links we find. This could explain why we just started crawling the subdomain.
2. Did you change your robots.txt for this subdomain? Our crawler, Rogerbot, follows robots.txt. If you edited this site recently, this could also explain why we just started crawling your subdomain.
I hope this helps! If you have more questions, please reach out to the help team at https://moz.com/help/contact. From there we can help you troubleshoot what's going on, but keep your campaign details off the interwebz.
Have a great weekend!
Anne

http://www.domain.co.uk/blog/ to
https://www.domain.co.uk/blog/ BEGIN WordPress <ifmodule mod_rewrite.c="">RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /blog/</ifmodule> RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on
RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301] RewriteRule ^index.php$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /blog/index.php [L] END WordPress Within wordpress settings the urls are set up as follows Wordpress Address URL: https://www.domain.co.uk/blog Site Address URL: https://www.domain.co.uk/blog i tried to add a trailing / to these but it gets automatically removed. So i am assuming that wordpress is serving up https://www.domain.co.uk/blog **RewriteBase /blog/ **is re-directing it to / then my https rewrite is re-directing it again I am not sure where exactly to fix this, could anybody advise? Html and css errors - what do SE spiders do if they come across coding errors? Do they stop crawling the rest of the code below the error
I have a client who uses a template to build their websites (no problem with that) when I ran the site through w3c validator it threw up a number of errors, most of which where minor eg missing close tags and I suggested they fix them before I start their off site SEO campaigns. When I spoke to their web designer about the issues I was told that some of the errors where "just how its done" So if that's the case, but the validator still registers the error, do the SE spiders ignore them and move on, or does it penalize the site in some way?

I built a website on magentogo - IrisScottPrints.com. The seomoz crawl report states 301 rel canonical crawl notices. What if anything should I change?
Wondering if I should remove "IRIS SCOTT PRINTS |" from all the title tags and/or change the url structure of the pages, to not include the breadcrumbs... I don't really understand the whole rel canonical structure thing. Also lots of errors on page title too long - does that really matter? Lots of faith in everyone here. Thanks in advance. Marcia

How can I fix this issue when crawl diagnosis indicated that my www.mydomain.com is duplicate with www.mydomain.com/index.php? That suppose to be the same page and not duplicate, right?
