I am launching a new site, what I need to know about backlinks
-
Hi
soon I am launching a new site. It will be focused on topics: Android, smartphones, reviews etc...
First I will buy a good looking WP theme, it will be responsive theme.
after that when I set up all in theme, after that I will start writing.
I will try to write interesting and good content....
This content I will share on my pages: Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Youtube.
So only remains, how to get good backlinks ? good backlinks for Google ?
Blog commenting is not good, right ?
Writing on relative forums and posting links as source of that information ?
Contacting other relative sites for sharing my content ?
Am I missed something or not ?
In your opinion, which is the best way of getting good backlinks ?
And what is the best solution in the beginning, because no one will know my site because my site is new.
Thank you

You need tools like MajesticSEO , SEO Quake and Quirk. Mozbar is also very valuable.
and then it is hard work!

Hi
Great thank you
Please tell me are all techniques good from this website http://backlinko.com/link-building ?
I have to admit that indeed there are good and useful information.
Most of the techniques from that site are when someone shares my content. There are several ways to do it and I like it.
But besides these technique, are there any other techniques from which i get good backlinks ?
How good are backlinks from good relative forums ? I was thinking to write mini reviews or something like that on forums and than put source of those reviews linking to my site. what do you think ?
Thank you

I agree with taking a unique stance, and offering content that other sites aren't. Another thing that may be useful to you is video reviews of products, and press releases. These can allow your content to get picked up by a lot of sources, for wider distribution. Make sure you share things that are actually newsworthy, and don't create a release just for the sake of doing it.
The video review option will provide a good fit for your site, as a large amount of consumers search for reviews of apps and Android devices before they buy. Having rich content and videos will increase on site time, and if it's helpful, can influence uses to do your sharing and marketing for you.
Best of luck with your new site!

Also look at "what can I offer that the other phone review sites don't currently offer? What can be unique about my site so that people will come to my site instead of one of the others already set up talking about the same thing?"

Ask yourself, who is my target audience? What are their burning information wants or needs? Then give them what they want or need in the form of pages and posts.
Establish yourself and grow your connections on the social media platforms where your intended audience likes to hang out. Share your stuff as well as other's. People will remember and seek you out when a need arises.

I'm sorry, I understood wrong.....
now i understand what he was talking about...
the second part i understad
but i have to say that it will be very hard to get someone to share my content.
thank you

You don't need to "remove "nofollow" from first custom URL on profile". Erwan is suggesting you make helpful contributions to the Moz community and by doing so, rack up your Moz points. When you earn 200 or more points, Moz will remove the nofollow attribute from the link to the first custom URL in your profile. A nofollow link from Moz is a very valuable incoming link to have. Moz's root domain authority is 92 out of 100.
Erwan's suggestion that you ingest the link building guide from Backlinko is a also a good one. Here are a few other sources of good link building information - http://www.pinterest.com/beseenontop/linkbuilding/.

1. what ???
why should i use removal of "nofollow" from first custom URL on profile ???
-
1/ Get 200 MOZ points for the removal of "nofollow" from first custom URL on profile :p.
2/ I would recommend you to read "Link Building: The Definitive Guide" ; http://backlinko.com/link-building.

Urgent help needed for site move with major ranking loss
URGENT HELP/ADVICE NEEDED I am so stressed and worried about my website domain change. I desperately need advice as soon as possible. I will try my best to keep this as brief as possible. I have owned and operated my punk clothing business online at the URL toofastonline.com for 15 years now. And for a long long time we ranked #1 for punk clothing on Google & life was good. However, thanks to the arrival of several cheap marketplaces and other unanticipated changes our ranking dropped considerably. The last few years have been extremely hard on us, to say the least, we came really close to losing the business altogether. But finally after lots of hard work & long hours, things started to improve. Ranking went back up, and we were busy again. I had been toying with the idea of buying the domain TooFast.com for about 10 years, but I never had the money to do it until this now, so I made the leap and as of Jan 9, toofastonline.com became toofast.com. Unfortunately, I now know that I set up the domain change hastily, without doing any of the pre-work Google suggests to do. I didn’t know it then but I did it wrong. And our site which wasranking #7 for punk clothing on Jan. 8th is now number 51 and today is only Jan 24th! I AM PANICKING. I have looked for help, posting jobs on Shopify Experts site several times now, opening accounts with MOZ and SEM Rush, spending countless hours on the phone with GoDaddy, Shopify and even long chats with Google. I have spent all day everyday for the past two weeks trying fix everything to no avail. No one can start on my site issues fast enough. And I have been given so much wrong information that I feel like I have done irreparable damage. I was (am) not qualified to make this kind of a site change alone. Too much was done too fast and without any real working knowledge Google SEO. My brother was the SEO guy and since he left the business I have just been struggling along with it, just trying to keep my head above water. So now for the big question: Should I temporarily change my Shopify stores domain back to toofastonline.com? This way I couldstart at the beginning, fix all the 404 redirects, fix the 301 redirects, clean up code, get the site in top working condition, and then, as Google suggests in theirGoogle Search Console Change of Address Toolstart to do the change of address in small sections, I can not afford to make any more reckless decisions. I have started and stopped, updated, fixed, changed and tried to fix again too many times now. I dont want Google to think I am trying something shady.. I’m not, I just don’t know what I’m doing, and I need help. Here is as much info as I can think of, I am more than willing to pay for help or do the work myself, as long as what I am doing is the right thing. Any and all help/advice/offers are welcome! SEO question regarding rails app on www.site.com hosted on Heroku and www.site.com/blog at another host
Hi, I have a rails app hosted on Heroku (www.site.com) and would much prefer to set up a Wordpress blog using a different host pointing to www.site.com/blog, as opposed to using a gem within the actual app. Whats are peoples thoughts regarding there being any ranking implications for implementing the set up as noted in this post on Stackoverflow: "What I would do is serve your Wordpress blog along side your Rails app (so you've got a PHP and a Rails server running), and just have your /blog route point to a controller that redirects to your Wordpress app. Add something like this to your routes.rb: _`get '/blog', to:'blog#redirect'`_ and then have a redirect method in your BlogController that simply does this: _`classBlogController<applicationcontrollerdef redirect="" redirect_to="" "url_of_wordpress_blog"endend<="" code=""></applicationcontrollerdef>`_ _Now you can point at yourdomain.com/blog and it will take you to the Wordpress site._

Manual action penalty revoked, rankings still low, if we create a new site can we use the old content?
Scenario:
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | peteboyd
A website that we manage was hit with a manual action penalty for unnatural incoming links (site-wide). The penalty was revoked in early March and we're still not seeing any of our main keywords rank high in Google (we are found on page 10 and beyond). Our traffic metrics from March 2014 (after the penalty was revoked) - July 2014 compared to November 2013 - March 2014 was very similar. Question: Since the website was hit with a manual action penalty for unnatural links, is the content affected as well? If we were to take the current website and move it to a new domain name (without 301 redirecting the old pages), would Google see it as a brand new website? We think it would be best to use brand new content but the financial costs associated are a large factor in the decision. It would be preferred to reuse the old content but has it already been tarnished?0 -
Significantly reducing number of pages (and overall content) on new site - is it a bad idea?
Hi Mozzers - I am looking at new site (not launched yet) - it contains significantly fewer pages than the previous site - 35 pages rather than 107 before - content on the remaining pages is plentiful but I am worried about the sudden loss of a significant "chunk" of the website - significantly cutting the size of a website must surely increase the risks of post-migration performance problems? Further info - the site has run an SEO contract with a large SEO firm for several years. They don't appear to have done anything beyond tinkering with homepage content - all the header and description tags are the same across the current website. 90% of site traffic currently arrives on the homepage. Content quality/volume isn't bad across most of the current site. Thanks in advance for your input!

Is this site worth subscribing to?
Hi everyone is, the below site worthwhile submitting to? I see one of our competitors is on here and the article they have published has in turn be picked up by other sites. Is the financial cost worth the back link reward? https://app.prweb.com/Main.aspx?Entity=Home

What on-page/site optimization techniques can I utilize to improve this site (http://www.paradisus.com/)?
I use a Search Engine Spider Simulator to analyze the homepage and I think my client is using black hat tactics such as cloaking. Am I right? Any recommendations on to improve the top navigation under Resorts pull down. Each of the 6 resorts listed are all part of the Paradisus brand, but each resort has their own sub domain.

Critique My Site For SEO
Hi Everyone, I was wondering if someone might critique my site and let me know what you think. I've done pretty much everything I know to do proper seo for my site. I'd love to hear some critiques about what I am doing wrong. I'm not sure if my titles are okay, being that they are similar amongst pages. The other thing is that for all the javascript buttons on the top I have no followed them since they don't have any anchor text. The way google will crawl my page is through the links in the footer. I was thinking of moving them throughout the body of the page since I hear google isn't giving as much weight to footer links. I also wanted to hear what you think about putting a blog on my site and updating with fresh content as opposed to creating a separate blog and then linking back to my website with anchor text. Thanks for all the help. And glad to be a member Bill
