Unnatural links from your site
-
Hi,
24 February got this penalty message in Google webmaster tool.
Google detected a pattern of unnatural, artificial, deceptive, or manipulative outbound links on pages on this site. This may be the result of selling links that pass PageRank or participating in link schemes.
Already removed all the link on the blog and sent reconsideration request to Google spam team. But request is rejected. Please help me on this or share link with me on same case.
Thanks,
-
You're very welcome.
If I were you I'd apply for reconsideration again with something like this:
"Dear Webspam Team,
Thank you for taking the time to reconsider my site. I do admit that at one time I offered guest posts from my blog. However, I have now removed all links from those posts. I have no intention of ever offering guest posts again. I have removed the "write for us" section of my site and will now concentrate solely on writing my own posts for the site.
I enjoy writing these articles and participating in the Adsense program.
Thank you once again,
[your name]"

Thank you so much Marie Haynes, you such a humble and kind I am really impress from you. As per your direction I have removed "write for us" page from the site. More kindly give me any suggestion / sample how I can convince the Google about reality of my site and as for as purpose of my site is to earn money through Google Adsense Program Please guide me how i can get back my page rank. Your guidance is really appreciating and Gold mine for me.At last I again very thankful for such kind of help and guidance.

Thanks for the kind words.
If you are certain that you have removed all of your guest posting links, then what you need to do is to convince Google that this site has a real purpose other than just to host guest posts. This is going to sound a little harsh, but when I look at the site it kind of looks like it is an article directory.
You still have a "write for us" page that says you accept guest posts. I'd remove that.
Can I ask what the main purpose is for your site? Do you make money through Adsense? Or was your primary revenue source from selling links? Do you sell a product from the site? If you get your penalty removed, what are your hopes for this site?
I think that in order to get the penalty lifted you need to convince Google that this site has a purpose other than to host guest posts.

Thank you very much Marie to notice my question. I'm your big fan on internet and reading your all the articles. Mostly I recovered websites from other type of Google penalties because just reading your articles on all platforms. But I'm just fail in this case.
My blog is metalaqua dot com. I did hard work on this to increase domain authority but lost page rank and home page is not index. Already removed lots of backlinks and some website added in Google disavow tool.
Yes, I'm accepting guest posts on my blog some time. because I don't have time for write articles. But last 4 months I'm not accepting more guest posts. Already I've removed all the outbound links and apply 3 times for reconsideration but fail.
Now I don't know what can I do next step that's the way I put this question on Moz. I hope you can teach me how to recover "Unnatural links from your site" penalty from Google.
Again thanks and waiting for your response.

If you're able to share your url we can have a look and probably see what the problem is.
Do you accept guest posts? Google cracked down on guest posting as a means for getting (and giving) links recently. Most of the sites that I have seen with outbound unnatural links penalties got them because they published guest posts. If this is the case, nofollow your links going from guest posts and apply for reconsideration and you should get the warning lifted.

What was the message back to you from the team? Typically these requests tend to mean that you need to add no-follow on out going links was the case with Barry Schwartz over at http://www.seroundtable.com/ as he had the same issue.

Spam links - which link is most damaging to my rankings.
I have just started using Open Site Explorer and discovered a lot of spam links to my website.
Technical SEO | | A.Ronny
(I have mostly ranked on page for many years one but in the last two weeks ranking have dropped to page two)
The links have Anchor Text such as Scam - Dishonest - Drugs. Most of the of the links are "nofollow".
Will links with "nofollow" affect my ranking and if so which of the links should i priorities to remove?
Do I look at Link Equity - Domain Authority - Page Authority or other criteria? Many thanks

Link juice and max number of links clarification
I understand roughly that "Link Juice" is passed by dividing PR by the number of links on a page. I also understand the juice available is reduced by some portion on each iteration. 50 PR page 10 links on page 5 * .9 = 4.5 PR goes to each link. Correct? If so and knowing Google stops counting links somewhere around 100, how would it impact the flow to have over 100 links? IE 50 PR page 150 links on the page .33 *.9 = .29PR to each link BUT only for 100 of them. After that, the juice is just lost? Also, I assume Google, to the best of its ability, organizes the links in order of importance such that content links are counted before footer links etc.

Google Links
I am assuming that the list presented by Google Webmaster tools (TRAFFIC | Links To Your Site) is the one that will actually be used by Google for indexing ? There seem to be quite a few links that there that should not be there. ie Assumed NOFOLLOW links. Am I working under an incorrect assumption that all links in webmaster tools are actually followed ?

Removing links from another site
Hello, Some site that I have never been able to access as it is always down has over 3,000 links to my website. They disappeared the other week and our search queries dramatically improved but now they are back again in Google Webmaster and we have dropped again.I have contacted the site owner and got no response and I have also put in a removal form (though I am not sure this fits for that) and asked Google to remove as they have been duplicating our content also. It was in my pending section but has now disappeared. This links are really damaging our search and the site isnt even there. Do I have to list all 3,000 links in the link removal to Google or is there another way I can go about telling them the issue.Appreciate any help on this

What happens when a link goes to a dead url on my site?
I noticed in Open Site Explorer, I have several incoming links going to dead urls because i re-organized my site. For example, there might be an incoming link to: sample.php?ID=8 The problem is that I moved the file to /subdir1 so it would be nice if it could link to /subdir1/sample.php?ID=8 BUT, on top of that, I have also changed the url to seo-friendly urls. So, really, it should link to /Category_Descripton/ProductName/8 and then get re-written to /subdir1/sample.php?ID=8 So, what are the implications of having these incoming links to dead urls other than the bad user experience. What are the implications from an SEO standpoint? What's the best way to fix this? Thanks.

Can I reduce link count by no following links?
Hi, A large number of my pages contain over 100 links. This is due to a large drop down navigation which is on every page. To reduce my link count could I just no follow these navigation links or would I have to remove the navigation completely?

How is my competition causing bad crawl errors and links on my site
We have a compeditor who we are in a legal dispute at the moment, and they are using under hand tactics to cause us to have bad links and crawl errors and i do not know how they are doing it or how to stop it. The crawl errors we are getting is the site having two urls together, for example www.testsite.com/www.testsite.com and other errors are pages that we do not even have or pages that are spelt wrong or have a dot after the page name. We have been told off a number of people in our field that this has also happened to them and i would like to know how they are doing it so we can have this stopped Since they have been doing this our traffic has gone down by half
