Our website uses adaptive design, that send either to mobile or tablet. Do we need to consider Phablets for new designs?

Thanks for the responses. I'll be analyzing the traffic that we get from the different devices. The site is not responsive design; because of the size and nature of the content, we had to go for adaptive design. Right now we have javascript that detects the user agents and deliver the appropriate CSS formatting. I am wondering if Phablets (specially iphone 6plus) will behave more like tablets, or like a smartphones.

Thanks to the new iPhone 6 and 6 plus there are now 4 more views for mobile devices! This post takes you through using the tool and adding the iPhone 6 resolutions. As Mobile continues to grow designing specifically for a good mobile user experience gains importance. I think this tool is pretty cool and was surprised by some of the results on my site.

Design for what is important to your company, first. Are you getting a large portion of traffic through a new device? That may warrant putting resources into the design for that specific device.
If not, then do not worry about it so much. Monitor the performance and traffic from those devices and adjust as necessary.
If you want to position yourself as proactive, rather than reactive, then begin to consider a truly responsive design (fluid). This way your working towards a site that looks good at all device dimensions. Even still, when a specific device takes priority (largest portion of traffic), there should be resources put into the UI/UX for that specific device.

Depends, most sites using responsive or adaptive design work fine on the design for tablets mostly. Maybe in the future when there really is a huge market for these you want to adapt to them.

I believe that design has more to do with size of the device, if you consider investing on responsive design, you probably didn’t really have to worry about what hardware it is!

Mobile Friendly Issue
2 days ago I saw my site listed with the 'mobile friendly' text in the Mobile searches. Today it has vanished. I have checked my site using the Google tool and it shows my site as Mobile Friendly. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Duplicate content on websites for multiple countries
I have a client who has a website for their U.S. based customers. They are currently adding a Canadian dealer and would like a second website with much of the same info as their current website, but with Canadian contact info etc. What is the best way to do this without creating duplicate content that will get us penalized? If we create a website at ABCcompany.com and ABCCompany.ca or something like that, will that get us around the duplicate content penalty?

Using More Info javascript:toggleDisplay tag for More info text
Is there any harm in using javascript so a user can "toggle" open or closed additional text on a website? For example, if a user wants to read more about something, they can click on "More Info" and the text would then appear. Google is able to read the text, because I chose a random 8 word section of the text within the More Info and pasted it into a Google Search and the website showed up in search results. Just wondering if using this technique would have any negative impact. Here's what the code would look like:

Using content from other sites without duplicate content penalties?
Hi there, I am setting up a website, where i believe it would substantially benefit users experience if i setup a database of information on artists. I am torn because to feasibly do this correctly, i would have content that is built from multiple sources, but has no real unique content. It would have parts from Wikipedia, parts from other websites etc. All would be sourced of-course. My concern is that if i do this, am i risking in devaluing my website because of this. Is there a way i can handle this without taking a hit?

The use of foreign characters and capital letters in URL's?
Hello all, We have 4 language domains for our website, and a number of our Spanish landing pages are written using Spanish characters - most notably: ñ and ó. We have done our research around the web and realised that many of the top competitors for keywords such as Diseño Web (web design) and Aplicaión iPhone (iphone application) DO NOT use these special chacracters in their URL structure. Here is an example of our URL's EX: http://www.twago.es/expert/Diseño-Web/Diseño-Web However when I simply copy paste a URL that contains a special character it is automatically translated and encoded. EX: http://www.twago.es/expert/Aplicación-iPhone/Aplicación-iPhone (When written out long had it appears: http://www.twago.es/expert/Aplicación-iPhone/Aplicación-iPhone My first question is, seeing how the overwhelming majority of website URL's DO NOT contain special characters (and even for Spanish/German characters these are simply written using the standard English latin alphabet) is there a negative effect on our SEO rankings/efforts because we are using special characters? When we write anchor text for backlinks to these pages we USE the special characteristics in the anchor text (so does most other competitors). Does the anchor text have to exactly I know most webbrowsers can understand the special characters, especially when returning search results to users that either type the special characters within their search query (or not). But we seem to think that if we were doing the right thing, then why does everyone else do it differently? My second question is the same, but focusing on the use of Capital letters in our URL structure. NOTE: When we do a broken link check with some link tools (such as xenu) the URL's that contain the special characters in Spanish are marked as "broken". Is this a related issue? Which CMS Should Use?
I have a desinger working on a new webiste and he's suggesting that WP creates design limitations (He's doing quite a bit of HTML 5 I believe...I'm not sure) and obviosly has secruity concerns. He suggested TextPattern, which I've never heard of. Has anyone had any experience with it? Also, what CMS are you using (besides WP) that you really like and is SEO friendly? Thanks
