do you know what factors have impact on the ranking of an app in the Google Play-appstore?

Apple ranks apps by how much revenue the app had made in the past (4 days It think it is). They don’t do by units sold; rather they use revenue to rank apps. That’s about all I know on that subject. (No clue how they would rank the free aps, maybe just by number of downloads?)

Improving SERP rankings via strategic SEO tactics

Hi, We just build some of our new content pages on our website 1.https://www.practo.com/ray/dental-software 2.https://www.practo.com/ray/dermatology-software 3.https://www.practo.com/ray/homeopathy-software Could someone explain how do I build around a good SEO strategy to compete with others for better positions on the SERP's. I have not done anything apart from fixing proper title tags , and meta descriptions etc and of course putting down relevant fresh content onto these pages. These pages were published about 3 weeks ago - Only this url ranks on the 2nd page as of now for keywords like "dermatology software" https://www.practo.com/ray/dermatology-software The rest of the URL's do not rank anywhere till the 10th SERP too! What could be wrong and where could I have the opportunity to boost the SEO tactics since all the pages which rank above it are just not providing the right kind of product as we are and still they take up the top positions and genuine users miss out on our domain. Thanks . Looking forward to some awesome responses.

Sending autmated queries to Google hurting SEO?

Anyone have any ideas whether there could be a chance that a site might get penalized if it is sending automated queries to Google (ie, to check rankings)? I was reading the recently updated Google Webmaster Guidelines and saw on the section - "Quality guidelines - specific guidelines" that mentioned about sending automated queries to Google... Just wondering what are the chances that Google will actually penalize a site that sends automated queries (if they are able to identify which site is doing so in the first place)..

Why do some websites that have hardly any backlinks, poorly optimised get placed above sites that are doing all they can with SEO?

For example take these two websites. www.rfasecurity.co.uk is a site that Iam working on and have had some success with yet snifferdogs.org.uk seems to be poorly optimised with little backlinks and still gets place higher. is it due to the key word in the domian name? The key search word is sniffer dogs New at this so any help would be appreciated regards Dave

I would like a good SEO company

Hi, I know this must be a repeated question but I would like to have an SEO company that would take care of getting my site on the top three pages of google and I would like some advice over my website. I have been investing in link building for a month now but I think my meta tag might not be the most appropriate, i should probably have various and came across your website. I have found zero negative feed back on your company, I run other business but this is my first online experience and don't have the time to give it the SEO so with that in mind I would like to know what SEO packages would you recommend for my business and in what time would I be seeing page ranks in google bing and yahoo. I hope you can help me out, I'm a newbie at this and my online business is interesting and want to see it already operating my website is sheep buy.com, concept is people can sell for free, not just post an item like a classified site but actually sell for free through paypal and we don't charge a fee, so would really want some insight. Backlinks: Majestic SEO vs. OSE

My apologies if this noob question has already been answered somewhere, but what's the difference between the backlinks reported by Majestic SEO vs. the links reported by OSE. Just curious why the former might report 2,360 external backlinks to a page and the latter might report 949 total links to the same page. Just curious. Thanks!
