My Domain Authority is 1 and has number "0" link from Root Domains! What is my fault?
-
My website has started from August of this year, but number of Domain Authority (DA) is 1 and has number "0" from root domains when i checked by moz addon on firefox. I find it very unusual and I am worried about it. does anyone can explain why is that ?
My website is: https://adtvietnam.vn . I had 10 --> 20 keywords on page 1 of google.com.vn.
p/s: i am really not good at english. i wrote that words by translate.google.com. I hope everyone can understand me and God i need your help ^_^

I would agree with Pixel by Pixel, DA is all about links, but its not the quantity you need to worry about, its the relevancy of the links.
Also you don't want to get links, you need to earn links - then you don't need to worry about penalties from Google and other search engines.
To earn links there is plenty of great articles on Moz about improving your DA but I would start from this one http://moz.com/learn/seo/page-authority
Thanks
Andy

Moz tends not to show as many of the "blog & forum comments" as the other link tools. Majestic somewhat ignores these as well. I think it's a choice because so many low quality & spam links come from these types of places that it's better to prioritise higher quality links in their index. Crawling links costs quite a lot of money so for them to crawl forum comments & "pings" just doesn't make sense.
You have 1 link on Majestic and basically none on Moz. However, Ahrefs shows 252. 219 of these are from quangbaweb.edu.vn
This is a forum and, as expected, Moz doesn't crawl this section of their site. This .edu.vn site is very authoritative on the main pages and has over 1 million links to its own homepage but the section you are getting links from is fairly low quality and not crawled by these types of tools.

To increase your domain authority you may need more links, I don't see any at the moment.
DA is based on the amount of links to your site and their quality, no links means a very low DA.
Hope that helps and it is clear.

What happens to your domain authority if you are forced to change your website name?
Out of curiosity if for legal reason you or a client were forced to change their domain name, what happens to all of your domain authority once you lose the old domain? While you still own the domain you can easily redirect any old links to your new website, but what happens if you no longer own that domain and someone else purchases it? Do they steal all of your domain authority? Or is it possible to keep those old links pointing toward your website?

Buy domain, redirect, get all the good links (+link juice) and disavow the spammy ones?
There is a domain for sale that has a quite nice profile and a lot of good backlinks, but also quite a few spammy ones. This domain has a Spam Score of 14% acc. to Moz Link explorer, ours has only 2%. My questions: 1. The domain and the good backlinks are related to or close to our content/keywords. But we are worried whether the "spammy" ones will hurt us. Does anyone has experience with this? 2. Would it help if we disavow the spammy backlinks afterwards? And if so, how do we do that? Add new domain to search console, disavow the bad links and then redirect the entire domain to our domain or redirect the domain first and then disavow from our property? Many thanks for your help!

Root-Domain vs Subdomain Linkbuilding
Hello Mozzers! Couple of days ago I received a request to start optimizing a wordpress website, the domain itself has been around for around 10-12 years so it's it can be considered as one that has real history behind it. The page has been moved from HTML/FLASH to wordpress about 3 - 4 years ago and hasn't been any SEO maintenance on it. The site used to rank for first position with several keywords, but now understandably, it has greatly decreased. My main question would be, that when I've checked the root domain's and the subdomain's metrics with MOZ Open Site Explorer, the sub domain (with "www.") showed a PA 40 and 90 external links while the root domain (without "www.") only has 27 PA and 6 External links. I know that the 301 or server redirects only transfers about 90% of the link juice to the targeted URL but the difference between the 2 results seem way too big for me. What do you think? Is this normal?

During future link building is it more beneficial to target the root domain so the page won't lose that "10%" by redirecting the new link from sub-domain to root domain?
Is it possible to get more juice transferred? Thank you very much,

What is the number of links do you require your link builder to attain each week or month? What is a reasonable goal?
Hello Mozzers... I would like to get a survey or feedback from other Mozzers who owns an SEO company or manages / hire link builders. **What is the average number of links does your link builder need to attain per week or month? what is their goal? ** I understand quality over quantity but I want to make sure there is a reasonable average to provide them goals and something to achieve on. Of course reward them more if they exceed or get .edu links. What do you institute? What do you think is fair and achievable per website? PS. There is no right or wrong answers here. I am looking for a measurable answer not subjectable. Again just gathering MEASURABLE GOALS.

Domain name holding pages link back, good or bad?
We are a web design and hosting company http://www.spiralsites.com But when we register domains for clients, or they take email only or a name is parked we have it using a holding page which can be seen as follows: http://www.jcevents.co.uk/ is this a good thing? Bad thing? Could it would it should it benefit our rankings? Should we do more to make it look less like our main site and actually try to use it better to help rank our other services pages?

Relevance or Authority for Links
Which one do you weigh more than the other? I prefer high-authority sites over low-authority but relevant sites/pages personally. From my experience, non-relevant'authoritative' websites/pages tend to have a bigger impact than 'relevant' websites/pages. What do you think? What is your experience?

Linkbuilding from sites with lower Domain Authority and Page Rank than mine?
I have decided to approach all my suppliers and ask them for a link. If their site has a lower PR/DA than mine (PR4, DA43) is is it still worth asking them from a link, given the time that needs to be invested in this type of link building?
