Domain Authority vs Actual Results?
-
Hi.
I know that MOZ's domain authority (DA) is an industry authority when it comes to evaluating the quality of a website.
However, I've encountered something interesting in regards to a specific site: Digital Journal
If you examine in through OSE you'd notice it has amazingly high DA - 83.
But when you look at it through SEMRush you'd see that it is steadily dropping in rankings and accordingly traffic (lost 93% of traffic over the last year) which makes me believe that it got penalized.
Shouldn't it be reflected on MOZ's analysis?
Is it a site I should worry that points to me?
This is an addition...
I encountered also the following site: americanchronicle.com which has the DA of 61 (pretty high) and is actually down for a while nowThanks

I truly assumed it is based on more than just links.
You do have tools such as SEMRush, Searchmetrics, SimilarWeb that show traffic analysis (which is not accurate but can show trends or directions).
If a site loses 90% of its traffic then obviously its domain authority is far from being intact

DA is based purely on links pointing to a site and not whether or not that site has a penalty. If moz knew exactly what would trigger a Google penalty (which bad links cause it), they would be a very rich company

Why are Internal, nofollowed links good for Domain Authority?
I always thought that internal links should be 'followed' to preserve link-juice.
Moz Bar | | BottleGreenWebsites
I've just been checking my Domain Authority Links overview, and the competitor with the most no-follow internal links has been rewarded with a higher Moz DA score.
Can anyone explain why this would be the case? JRJ4Dwn1 -
Turn off Pagination in Keyword Explorer results?
In the keyword suggestions of Keyword Explorer, is there a way to switch from paginated results back to results loading on one page? I used to be able to scroll down and have additional results load when I reached the end of the page.

Puzzled. High domain authority, but low page authority?
I have a question regarding how a page's authority can be low but the domain authority be high. I'm using the SERP report in moz to compare competing pages. The page I'm working on is an ecommerce category page. Moz says it has very low page authority, has been indexed for a little over a year, it's domain authority is a moderate 50, and has no root domains linking to it. It is more relevant than the other pages (has more products for sale that fit the keyword searched for), has a decent amount of copy on the page, but ranks around #10 in the search results. The competing pages are also ecommerce category pages. The 9 ranking higher have domain authority varying from 30-75, and 1 or 2 root domain links to them. Their number of products that match the keyword searched are all over the board, some have many matches, some have only 6 or 8 results. Some have a moderate amount of text on the page, some have very little text on the page. Yet they have page authority in the 30s-40s. What goes into page authority that I'm missing which would make these other pages have so much more authority when they are just slightly better in the other metrics listed above? What am I missing here?

Not in Top 50 - But actually in 3rd position
I created a new campaign with Moz on 7th Sep 2014. To date (17th) the Keyword reports says that all the keywords are not in Top 50. But in many of the keywords our site is in first page. If Moz has not crawled the site yet? PS: I have another campaign running with same set of (but few) keywords which shows perfectly for months. Any advise?

Keyword Rankings vs. Rank Tracker research tool
I have a campaign tracking several keywords. On my Keyword Rankings report I'm not in the top 50 for anything. When I use the Rank Tracker tool, my rankings are quite high (I have 2 in the top 5). When I use the Rank Tracker tool I've noticed that I'm able to point to specific URLs on my website (not the main page). When looking on my Keyword Rankings report, the URL is usually empty. So what am I missing? Have I configured something incorrectly? Can I update the URLs on the Keyword Rankings report so the rankings will be reflective of the Rank Tracker tool? OSQdLmb nMnOQim

How to get Universal Results to Show in Reports?
This has been a source of frustration for me for a long time. I have asked many times and never found anything in the support documentation on how to add this. Is it something that is simply not offered? If so is it not outrageous to others that this simple feature is not present? What I want: I would like to be able to include Universal Results icons in my rank reports. Why? Well as is the case much of the time my clients Google profile is included in the maps results (thanks to our optimization services) but they are not on the first page. The client can't see the results of this type of SEO. It shows up when logged in but not in the exported reports. How easy would it be to include these? It seems like a no-brainer. If anyone knows where to add them or why they don't automatically include them please let me know. If this feature is not offered I call upon my fellow SEO's to demand this feature. If anyone knows of a way to contact the developers to recommend adding this feature I would also appreciate that information. Thank you Universal Result: Local

Domain Moztrust
While looking over my historical rankings for MozTrust I noticed a very large drop in my rankings (5 to 4) on July 2013 that never picked up again. What would cause this?
