Facebook: reaching audience who have liked / shared my content
-
Hi,
I am new to social, so the question might be a bit beginner. If I put a like / share / recommend button on my site, or maybe a comment box, how can I reach audiences at a later time, who have interacted with my plugins (liked/shared/commented)?
Paid ads would be one solution, but for now I am interested in organic (free) targeting. So if people who share my content do not become fans at the same time, how can I engage them in new updates about my page?
Thanks for thoughts.

Depending on the individual's Facebook profile security settings and their own engagement reach, if they like a page -- not your Facebook page -- it will show in their friends feed, but it's likely not going to be a crazy amount of promotion.

It's impossible to reach out to multiple people who specifically just liked a post/picture. The best thing to do is remind FB users to Like the page NOT JUST the post. It may seem like begging or unsavoury and "spammy" looking but it works.
"Don't forget to LIKE OUR PAGE for more like this" would do fine.

Sorry, but likes on a page don't mean much. Facebook isn't an RSS feed, it's a social platform, updates won't always show up on people's walls. There's a viral/discussion curation factor there and it's hard to tell what will show up and what won't. "Likes" are the new "view counters" people put on the bottom of their pages in the 90's. They don't mean a thing.

Thanks Highland,
Actually my biggest concern is if I can reach people who like my post, not my page. Can I build on people who like a post or are they a one time "resource" for spreading the word about that one actual post?

One strategy is to use Facebook as your page, like other, related or interesting pages and interact with them as your page.
Use Facebook as Page: http://i.imgur.com/C5i9swe.png
From there search for pages and groups, go to "Home" to see updates from others: http://i.imgur.com/JITjrv4.pngOtherwise, keep updating, asking people to like, and interacting with anyone who shows up.

If you've gotten them to like your page then anytime you post something on FB, that will show up in their feed (and this costs you nothing). Unfortunately FB came up with this long after the "Like" mechanism so they couldn't name it something less confusing, like Twitter's Follow option even though it works the same way. Liking a post is liking a post. Liking a page is to follow their feed (unless you edit your feed).
Paying for ads on FB means that, quite often, what other people in your orbit on FB like will influence what ads you see. So I'll see a Paid news feed item that notes that "Friend A, Friend B, and Friend C Like Brand X". And that's how FB extends your reach. Ads will also appear in your target demographic feeds as well (whether or not their friends have liked it), but that social element is smart because tying it to social activity increases responses.
Using FB for product comments is also another way to engage people socially.

Sharing Blogs on my Personal or Business Google plus Account
Hi i have been using my business G+ account to share my blogs, but have realised that this would have been better using my personal G+ account. Should i now go back through those 50+ blogs and re-share via my personal G+ account eg one every 3 days or should i re-share the G+ business entry? Thanks Ash

How to autofollow anyone who tweets/retweets my blog?
I'm not sure if here is the right place for this Q but since followerwonk is one of the SEOmoz tools, I thought I'd try. I want to autofollow anyone who tweets or retweets specific URLs (my blog posts on a large blog). Does anyone know how to do this? They often don't @mention me in the tweets, I just see them all on topsy. I get 50-100 a day and at the moment have been manually going through and following all those people. It's been a useful exercise so far to see what types of people are tweeting my stuff, but now it has got super tedious!

Building links to a Twitter/social account
I've seen plenty of articles about using Twitter to build links, but how about building links to a Twitter account? Does registering on sites and directories like Topsy, Twellow and Klout help? We can link to Twitter accounts on our own websites and other social profiles, and use it as our link on blog comments etc, but is there anywhere else specific?

I can't see the new Facebook Insights.
Is anyone else having trouble seeing the new Facebook Insights page? If I click on Insights I get a message at the top that says, "Take me to the new Page Insights" but if I click on it it does nothing. Apparently people are "talking about me" and I can't see the new stats!
