False Pro reporting of duplicate titles
-
I am testing Pro. About 250 pages of content at my website.
Pro says ALL of my pages have duplicate titles., but when I click on details, they display as unique titles. Ie: first page of results of Pro is as follows.
While the content of my website is on one major topic the title meta tags are NOT identical. Is this an issue with Pro, or is Pro looking at something other than the title meta tags?
Please advise ?

Hi Fred,
Sorry for any confusion. I looked at a handful of your pages that are reporting duplicate titles and they are legit. It looks like your site is set to resolve properly with 200 responses using both the www version and the non-www version.
That is not only giving you duplicate titles and content, but is likely to impact your rankings as those URLs will fit for placement with each other.
That's something you would want to address by redirecting to one or the other. You'd want to talk to your Web Dev team if needed to make sure it's done properly.
I hope that helps.
Cheers,
Joel. -
Thanks ABE, you sent me a message about duplicate content. But this is about duplicate TITLEs.
Please advise why Pro is reporting the duplicates.

Hello Fred,
I would love to look at this for you. I'm going to create a customer service ticket for you so we can make sure this isn't a mistake on our end.
Talk to you soon!

What Should I Do About Duplicate Title Warning From Category Pages Of Store?
I know a lot of the MOZ warnings can be ignored, however, I'm trying to figure out of this one should be added to that list: my store has urls setup like this for categories: https://www.mysite.com/sweaters https://www.mysite.com/sweaters/page/2 The meta title is "Sweaters" for both pages. Is that bad practice? I don't think I can automatically change the meta title to to Sweaters Page 2 or even want to. or should I do that? Or just ignore these type of warnings?

No (seomoz) crawler report since 7th may !!
Hi Mozteam, I added a site less than 200 pages in the tool "seomoz crawler", at May 7. We are May 15 and the tool always displays "crawl in progress." Do you have a problem about this tool? This is embarrassing ... Thank you for your reply. David France

Duplicate page titles in SEOMoz
My on page reports are showing a good number of duplicate title tags, but they are all because of a url tracking parameter that tells us which link the visitor clicked on. For example, http://www.example.com/example-product.htm?ref=navside and http://www.example.com/example-product.htm are the same page, but are treated as to different urls in SEOMoz. This is creating "fake" number of duplicate page titles in my reports. This has not been a problem with Google, but SEOMoz is treating it like this and it's confusing my data. Is there a way to specify this as a url parameter in the Moz software? Or does anybody have another suggestion? Should I specify this in GWT and BWT?

Duplicate Content being caused by home page?
Hello everyone, I am new to SEOmoz and SEO in general and I have a quick questions. When running a SEO Web Crawler report on my URL, I noticed in the report that my home page (also known as my index page) was listed twice. Here is what the report was showing: www.example.com/ www.example.com/index.php So are these 2 different urls? If so, is this considered duplicate content and should I block crawler access to the index.php? Thanks in advance for the help!
