Is Tweetdeck Killing My Tweets!?!
-
So I remember reading a while back that there were some disadvantages to posting on Twitter from Tweetdeck, but when I went back to find this information again, I couldn't find anything related to that topic.
With that, do any of you Mozzers out there have any compelling reasons as to why I'd prefer to tweet directly from my Twitter account on the Twitter site, instead of on Tweetdeck!?!
Any and all insights/commentary/speculations would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance!

One other thing came to mind overnight. I think that the API had some limits with regards to follow/day. That might make an API reliant app less useful for some purposes.
-
I believe sometime in 2011, Twitter started clamping down on third-party apps. One example is that TweetDeck had a feature that allowed you to post a tweet that was longer then the standard 140 characters. That feature no longer exists, as many third-party apps had to meet the requirements that Twitter asked for. Basically, Twitter wants any app to behave like the Twitter site so in hopes more users start using the Twitter site.
Twitter is making the API rules tighter yet. 3rd party apps can't go over 100k users, unless they have permission from Twitter. http://thenextweb.com/twitter/2012/08/17/twitter-4/
As far as TweetDeck goes, I use it and I love it. Twitter now owns TweetDeck, so if you prefer TweetDeck over the Twitter site, use it all you want, Twitter won't mind

The only thing I can think of is related to facebook not twitter. Posts made by 3rd party apps were beleived to have inherently lower edgerank. I don't think that was officially confirmed though.
Can't think of anything for twitter.

Can we use Youtube Videos of google webmaster on blog post?
Is it okay to embed YouTube videos of channel which we don't own? For example, I have written a blog on enabling event search in Google Analytics and Google Webmasters YouTube channel has a video based on those steps. I am looking to add that video in my blog.

Should our rebranded company update our existing Instagram profile or delete it and start from scratch?
Our company just did a complete rebrand with a new name and logo. Instagram allows us to change our name, username, logo, and information, unlike Facebook, but there isn't a lot of online content about whether or not that's the best route. Any thoughts?

How does the background on my product photos impact SEO - step and repeat vs. plain background
I have a new e-commerce site and I'm focused on optimizing it for SEO. If I am taking product photos, will having a step-and-repeat (background with our logo repeated) in the background of the product impact how the images are scanned by Google? In other words, would I benefit from having a plain background behind my item shots vs. a backdrop with our logos all across it? I don't want Google to think I'm spamming my logo across all our items, but also want our photos to be recognized as ours. I want to gain SEO from my effort and definitely not hurt it! Thanks!

B2B Blogger Outreach
Hi I'm working on an SEO campaign in relation to vacuum cleaners. I'm working on some outreach and as we focus on B2B I'm finding it difficult to find blogs which are B2B focused. We would ideally want customers who are buying a number of vacuums for their business - but it could be any industry. Instead of B2B blogs, I have gone with the angle of cleaning/organising blogs, with lots of followers on social. However, does anyone know of any good B2B blogs they could recommend? I'm looking for something written by facilities/buildings managers - if blogs like this exist 🙂 Thank you

Social Media Icons for trust - have link land them on a social media page or have them stay on the page with like, tweet, +,etc?
An interesting question arises out of a conversation with one of my team. We were talking about FB pages in particular regarding a client and I am for icons that allow for trust without leaving the client's site page (I am from a direct marketing background originally and am against sending them somewhere else). She was pointing out that we had a client who has a FB page and we were not sending them to that page. I explained how I do not like to gain a bit of trust by sending them off site because it is the opportunity to lose a conversion by them becoming distracted. I also thought of a client who has over 100,000 likes, shares, etc. and who still is in the direct sales business at the end of the day; were they better off with a prospective client/customer to send them to their FB page/Twitter page, etc. or should they stay on the commercial site? I still believe that in the bricks and mortar world, I would not have a customer who came in to buy/look at a TV first go down the street to a social club for people who liked my company and then hope they come back and buy. Also, is there an opportunity to close a sale that would not have been closed by virtue of sending them away or to increase the size of the sale (remember, this must be such a sale increase or probability of sale increase as to outweigh the risk of loss of a client who would have bought)? I look forward to your assistance.
