What should be the SEO strategy for a very big target?

Currently I am doing SEO of an Arabic website. I need to optimize it for GCC region. Its target is very big i.e. 1 million unique visitors per month (organic). The domain is new means there is no domain authority right now. What should be the best strategy in this scenario?

Egol is spot on. Assuming the SERP is highly competitive. You need to do a few things simultaneously. I will mention 3.
Firstly I would not initially target the highly competitive SERP Long term goal, but it could be several months till you are there. You need to take a beach head first - or own one SERP and build from there. Build your organic traffic. Own a less searched but highly relevant keyword query SERP. Your keyword research should assist and identify opportunities. So I would find weak SERP's which is related and then build pages & content to own those SERP's.
Concurrently you need to build backlinks. So I would do an audit on your competitors and see what you can also harvest. Then I would capture the top 100 URL's for the keyword you are chasing and try and see if you can get natural backlinks on those sites.
Thirdly you have to do some good old fashioned marketing. PR & marketing are integral to online success now.

Your greatest resource can be a tribe of like-minded people who will share your content with other like-minded people on social media, personal blogs and other channels. The value of this can not be overestimated.
To start or grow your tribe of like-minded people, set up your website so that your best content or most important content are obviously linked to on every page. This can be done with nice big images and enticing captions like you see done with Taboola, Outbrain and other content marketing sites.
Produce a monthly newsletter for these people to keep them engaged. Tell them how they can help you. Draw them small maps to make it easy for them.
Advertise on websites where lots of like-minded people read frequently. Spend your advertising on like-minded people, even if it costs more, because like-minded people are the most valuable asset you can find.

That's a lot of traffic. I would be surprised if there is that much traffic for this target.
What should be the best strategy in this scenario?
First, go to the SERPs and look at who owns them. You will likely find extremely authoritative domains in the top ten. Are there any with significant resources who will pursue this as a "trophy query" with irrational (or perhaps rational) determination. Do you have that level of determination and resources?
Then look at their content and decide if you can beat it soundly and by a significant margin. To me, the English language text content is not as impressive as expected, but it is not weak. The quality, relevance, and informativeness of the images on most sites is rather pedestrian.

Do not expect a quick win. You will first need to develop a significant mass of high quality content. This might take a knowledgeable and skilled author, working full time and supported by a source of great graphics, a few to several months to produce. Then you will need genuine audience acceptance and that they will appreciate the content enough to share it widely. This will be very slow to launch, even if you pay for promotion. The amount of time depends upon the degree of superiority of your content and/or the resources that you can put into promoting it.

SEO strategy for conversion-optimised home page
I'm working on a very conventional-type site with a home page (why come to us), methods we use, pricing, reviews, FAQs and contact us. After reading the Moz case study at (http://www.conversion-rate-experts.com/seomoz-case-study/), I have been working on a conversion-optimised home page that consolidates much of content in all these pages. At the bottom of the home page, I then plan to add a list of blog posts "Want to read more? We have a lot of useful information on our blog. Here are the most popular articles:" with articles that explain more about the methods we use for example (content that was formerly on our methods page). Obviously this new blog will also have more interesting information (but a lot that could actually be converted into pages) This radically changes the site into just a home page full of selling points and calls-to-action and a blog. I have some questions about this strategy: How do we keep our search engine ranking for keywords such as "[our service] prices" or "[a particular method] London". We rank quite well on Google for these and it goes straight to the relevant page. Shall we keep the pages active somewhere even though the information is also on the home page? Is a blog actually necessary here (SEO wise)? The things I'm planning to write could easily be made into more pages. Am I going about this completely wrong by trying using the CRO guide? Should this sort of page be reserved for landing pages? The reason why I'm considering making a conversion-generating home page is because we only sell one service pretty much (although there are differences in how we do it on children vs. adults) and because we are quite niche so most of our traffic comes from organic sources. SEO Company that bills on results?
After having bad experiences with a few seo and ppc companies, I would like to find a company that operates on the premise that they should get paid for producing results instead just for signing a contract. I'm not thinking that any payment is contingent results but that a large portion of the billing is. I also know that it can take several months to get to an seo goal so I'm not taking a "you have one month to fix our site or we don't pay" approach. Is there a company out there that has enough confidence in their white-hat processes that they actually back their services with some sort of guarantee?

Right SEO strategy for Wordpress
Hello all, I am working on my SEO strategy for a WordPress site. I am trying to cover all my keywords in: 1.a) Page title trying to have a length <70 1.b) Page url trying to have a length<115 My question is: should i try to focus all my keywords in both name and url page path? or only in the Page title as the SEOMOZ's guide suggest? I would go for a mix strategy with my keywords in both page title and url path name, but I do not know if the search engines PAY MORE ATTENTION TO THE PAGE TITLE, so mixing 1.a) and 1.b) would mean I am loosing keywords. I am using the WordPress All in ONE SEO Plugin. Do you recommend me this or any other plugin? This plugin has 3 input fields: a) Title tag b) Description tag c) Keywords My questions here are: a) If these tags replace the standard settings of WP as described in point 1.a) b) If the description and title tags are META TAGS that are not taken into account in terms of SEO but in terms of customer description of the contento of the page. c) Where are the keywords listed inserted in the page? How do I make my URLs SEO friendly?

SEO Landing Page Fail
We have a PPC landing page template that I've used to aggregate blog post collections thematically. http://www.ietravel.com/machu-picchu-travel http://www.ietravel.com/kenya-and-tanzania-safari The hope was that they would start ranking. After 5 months, it has yet to happen.Thought it was a good idea at the time because these pages have a nice prominent call-to-action area. It now occurs to me that the pages are probably under-performing because they are not incorporated into the main site navigation. Do you think that if I move these under their appropriate categories in the main site I'll see some lift? (Of course, I will add 301 redirects as well.) Thanks

Link Age as SEO factor?

I have a client who ranks well within a competitive sector of the travel industry. They are planning CMS move which will involve changing from .cfm to .aspx We will be doing the standard redirects etc However Matt's statement here on 301 redirects got me thinking

Now, we will be potentially redirecting 1000s of links and my thinking is 'a lot of a little, adds up to a lot' In other words, 1000s of redirects may have a big enough impact to loose some rankings in a very competitive and aggressive space. So recommended that we contact the sites who has the link highest value and ask them to manually change the links from cfm to aspx. This will then mean that there are no loss value as with a 301 redirect. -But now I have another dilemma which I'm unsure about. So the main question:
Is link age factor in rankings ? If I update any links, this will make said link new to Google, so if link age is a factor, would this also lessen the value passed initially?0
