Domain vs. page SEO
-
Hi
I'm new to SEO and trying to optimize one of my pages. However this page that I'm trying to optimize is not the homepage. Does it mean that since I have collected links from other pages to my homepage that the specific page I'm trying to SEO doesn't get any "link juice"? And how could this situation be corrected? Is the only way to get direct links to the page I'm trying to optimize?

Thank you well. This was very informative.

Hi,
Yes link juice will pass from home page to other pages through internal links. Chris explained very well by giving example.
Thanks

No, internal links pass 'link juice' so links from home page can pass links down, think of it like a chapaign fountain, the top glass (homepage) might be over flowing but its flowing down to the lower (pages) glasses so glasses at the bottom might not be getting as much perhaps as higher ones etc. Take a look through the Moz's https://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo you can also see https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority for more info.
TL:DR;
Internal links pass link juice, you can also build links to internal pages (called deep linking) to also help.
Hope that helps & good luck.

Backlink Transparency with SEO Agency
Hello everyone. I recently started working with an SEO agency and today they gave me an updated keyword report which showed some increase in rankings. I was not aware that any backlinks had been created yet so I asked for a report of the links. Their response is below and I am just wondering if this is normal practice being I have not worked with any type of SEO agency yet. "

Hey Daniel, We release a small report on them which the guest blog team will do soon. We don't reveal all backlink sources unfortunately because people have tried to bother the webmasters we have and basically steal our techniques. But rest assured you will be ranking at the top of the pack with our methods 😃

Are High Domain Authority, Low Page Authority Links Good?
I recently created a scholarship with the hopes of getting .edu backlinks (as well as helping students in need, of course). So far, I have received 8 followed backlinks from very authoritative .edu sites (70+ domain authorities). The pages that link back to me are the "outside scholarships" pages. I've seen these pages range from having a page authority of 10 to 50+. For example, I just reached out to Johnson & Wales for a link on their outside scholarships page: http://www.jwu.edu/scholarships-from-outside-agencies/ You can see this page has a PA of 1 and a DA of 73. I'm wondering if Google will see the low page authority and not give me much valuable juice (if any). Are these types of links worth it?

Keyword Domain URL structure
Hello all, We have a domain with one of the primary keyword within the domain itself (audisite) and reading through some of the topics, having a keyword within the domain itself seems to be not as significant as we had assumed. We currently have a URL strucuture ( http://audisite.co.uk/new-audi/a4 ) which we were thinking of modifying to something like audisite.co.uk/a4 based on the premise that the 'audi' keyword is already in the domain itself. Also in terms of URL optimization, which of these will be the most effective URL (if the content is exactly the same). Or is my whole approach incorrect to URL optimization fundamentally incorrect? /a4 /new-audi-a4 /new/audi-a4 /new-audi/a4 /new/audi/a4 I will be very grateful for any advice/suggestions/pointers. Thank you very much for your time.

Domain Authority - quality scoring
Hey All:
Link Building | | Stephan_Boehringer
Got a question about domain authority value. I'm reviewing our link profile and I'm trying to figure out if there are any links to our domain we should disavow. I'm also looking at some of our competitor link profiles to see if we are missing out on any quality websites that could be linking to us. To evaluate this, I'm looking at the domain authoriy of any of the websites in question. Thus, my question is two-fold. At what point in time is Domain authority too low, necessitating us to get rid of the inbound link?2) How high should a DA value be to have us try to build an inbound link from to our website? FYI: our website home page has a page authority of 49 and a domain authority of 43. Thanks for your help Stephan0 -
