Anyone Know How Accurate The Spam Analysis Score Is?
-
Hello,
I have a website whose spam analysis is showing a score is a 6 but when I look at the my links, I only have one link that is showing up as a 5. I look at all the subdomains and root domain and I am just curious if I should be worried or that this is quite common. Thoughts?
Thanks,
Errick -
Hi Errick!
I'm obviously pretty biased, but I feel it's pretty accurate. The trick is to understand what it's measuring, and the thought behind its correlative analysis.
Have you had the chance to read Rand's blog post on Spam Score?

Hey Errick,
I don't feel it is that reliable at all. Once of my sites has had a spam score on 9 since I started working on it.
Ive worked on it for 4 months to lower it and nothing happens even though I've addressed 90% of the issues and "indicators"
I hope you come right with yours though.

Hi Errick,
I am sorry that you ran into this and I would be happy to take a look. We may need to take a look at the site so I will create a ticket for you in our help system and hopefully get it sorted.
If you have any questions for me in the meantime though let me know and I would be happy to take a look.
Hope this helps and I look forward to speaking with you!

Spam score of 28 %
Hello, I checked my website spam score in link explorer and found out it has got 28 %. What do you recommend I do ? should I ask for all the links to be removed (even though some of them are no followed) Is it possible that google has penalised me because of that score and de-ranked me ? Thank you,

Why is the Moz tool bar page analysis saying my website is from Romania when we are in the United States?
So when I go to my client's website, https://www.paracore.com/ and on the home page, I use the Moz toolbar. From there I then use the "Page Analysis." If you look at the "URL" line there is a Romanian flag next to the site name. Then I scroll down within the page analysis and the "Country" line says Romania. This is a WordPress site, and the company is based in Arizona. Can anyone explain to me if this is code that I can find and change or remove? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Tracked Ranking Keywords in Campaign and Ranking Keywords in Keyword Explorer are coming up with very different results - does anybody know why?
We have a campaign set up that is tracking keywords with varying monthly volumes and the website is ranking for them. I have gone into the new Keyword Explorer Feature (looks great!) and I have tested it by putting in the root domain address mentioned above. My problem is that none of the keywords that I am tracking and ranking for are appearing in the "ranking keywords" report in Keyword Explorer. Does anybody know why this might be happening?

What is a Good Keyword Priority Score?
Howdy gang, This is my last discussion post in the series on keyword metrics in KW Explorer & Moz Pro (previously on Keyword Difficulty, Opportunity, & Volume). In this one, let's chat about the "Priority Score," a feature you'll find in Keyword Explorer on any lists you build. Priority was conceived to help aggregate all the other metrics - Difficulty, Opportunity, Volume, and (if you choose to use it) Importance. We wanted to create an easy way to sort keywords so the cream would rise to the top -- cream in this case being keywords with low difficulty, high opportunity, strong volume, and high importance (again, if you choose to use it). Thus, when it comes to Priority Score, there's no particular number you should necessarily seek out, but higher is better. When you get into the ranges of 80+ (which is quite rare, Single Malt Scotch is one of the few examples I could find, and only because it's volume is so high and there's only a couple SERP features), you're generally talking about keywords with high demand (lots of monthly searches), the difficulty isn't too crazy (a website in the 55-80 DA range might have a shot), and the CTR Opportunity is decently strong (usually not too many SERP features that take clicks and attention away from the organic web results). Below that score range, you're usually finding keywords where one or more of those isn't true -- there's either lower volume, heavier competition, or lots of SERP features with the accompanying lower estimated CTR. When you're building KW lists, my view is that there's no "good" or "bad" Priority scores, only relative scores. Priority should be used to help you determine which terms and phrases to target first -- it's like a cheat code to unlock the low hanging fruit. If you build large lists of 50-100 or more keywords, Priority is a powerful and easy way to sort. It becomes even more useful if you use the Importance score to help add an estimation of value to you/your business/your client in to the mix. In that case, Importance can cut Priority by up to 2/3rds (if you set it at 1) or raise it by a little more than 3X (if you set it at 10). This is hyper-useful to nudge keywords with middling scores up if they're super-important to your marketing efforts. Look forward to your feedback, and thanks for checking these out!

How can I obtain an updated competitive analysis?
When I first setup the account, I was able to run a competitive analysis. Â Since that date, this report has not updated. Â How can I initiate or request another competitive analysis without starting a new account?

Has anyone else noticed MozRank seems to be messed up?
Is it just me or is the MozRank in the current index totally screwed up? I'm seeing sites with DA lower than 40 with MozRanks above 6 and sometimes 7 constantly.
