Sending out press realease
-
Hi, I have a press release and 10 sites to send it to is it OK to send the same press release to 10 press release sites or I need to write 10 different ones and can you recommend the top 3 websites non paid press release websites in your experience?
-
OK Thank you
I guess if I am targeting users in the events niche I need to find those press releases.

Hi.
Is it ok? - Sure. Is it helpful - that's the question. From my experience - if it's not newsworthy and people(news portals) won't pick it up on their own - it's quite pointless.

It is OK to send the same press release as the goal of your press release should be to actually get press. Of course, you might want to target the press releases to the audience who might see them if the 10 sites cater to different users. I can't particularly recommend any individual press release service, sorry.

Are high quality press release syndication site links valuable?
Suppose your press release got picked up by high authority sites like Yahoo, Morningstar, PaidContent.org, etc. But they republished the press release and kept the links. Do these links pass any value since the sites are just republishing the press release?

Press Releases Weekly
Hello, I know this has been answered in the past but we have been doing press releases multiple times per week, and have been getting Great referrals, at the same time our link count is climbing. Can this have a negative effect on the overall site? Should we be doing these less often? Thanks very much!!!

To Press Release (or not)?
Hey Mozzers, Our company designs, develops, and manufactures products for a living. Last year we came up with an idea of our own, designed, developed, tooled and produced it all on our own dime. We did all the branding, website, EVERYTHING on our own. The product looks like it's going to be pretty successful. We are now planning on opening our web store tomorrow and expect to be selling and shipping product tomorrow. The product is an iPhone accessory that basically turns your iPhone into a wearable POV camera similar to GoPro. Check it out at http://miveu.com. I'm wondering if we should actually do a press release about the opening of our web store. I only say this because it seems like a natural thing to do at the moment. That said, it sounds like it could actually hurt us. If this is a good idea, what's the best channel. Doesn't need to be the cheapest channel, but one that will spread the word. I guess the real question is, "how can we drive traffic to our site?" over the next few days. Please don't bash me after looking at our site. While the site looks great IMO, we have done ZERO SEO work to this site. This includes even the most basic novice work, like titles and descriptions. To this point, we have focused all our efforts on getting the product to market, getting the website running, getting the store ready, etc. I do plan on doing some SEO work soon or maybe even hiring and agency to do it. For now, we just need to get selling. 🙂 BTW,,, we have gotten some pretty good exposure by exhibiting at CES and have won several awards. Our reputation is extremely important to us and we don't want to do anything that could tarnish our reputation, now or in the future. I look forward to all your thoughts and feedback. Cheers!

High DA Press Release Site
Hi Guys, So we have just received a message from Google confirming that we have an un-natural link profile. We are currently in the process of gathering all our links and going through them 1 by 1, at the moment I'm just stuck deciding if we should remove this link. It's a high profile PR site, its updated every day with quality news?? What do you guys think of this? Thanks, Scott

Where/should I post my press release/articles on my own website?
I have started a long-term article marketing campaign and press release distribution. I will have about 4 articles and press releases in total every month. Although the press releases will not be self-promotional, sometimes they will be talking about a certain product that we unveil. The question is, due to the high quality of these press releases, should I put them on my website as well as publish them on third party websites? If so, because they target a specific service/product which we already have a dedicated page on our website, wouldn't that put Google in the position of choosing between the two pages? I was thinking to put them on my blog and link internally from there with the keywords that I target on those pages as anchor text. The same question for articles. Any suggestions?

Press Release Sites for Backlinks
OK, I read a previous thread about whether people found press release sites useful (specifically I am considering a reputable pay for release service). I understand the knock on press releases in this digital age (namely that no one reads them and arguably never did . . . ), but I was interested in moving the discussion in a different direction . . . Do press releases services really help a sites performance based on increased backlinking? Is there a SEO benefit to PR services? My company is a local print company. I've done quite a bit of research on my local competitors, and specifically for a couple products we would like to dominate. The good news is that it looks like the hurdle would not be terribly high to really take over the web presence with a well planned and executed website/SEO campaign. My inclination is that for a relatively small company like mine (dealing with relatively small competitors) it WOULD benefit me to pay for the sheer number of backlinks a PR program would generate. The monthly cost is frankly about the same as the cost of this site, which OF COURSE I get value from (hey moderator, how about a couple extra MOZ points for that one!) Specifically, I am looking at this for myself, but feel free to expand the question to the broader topic.
