Rank checking tool for keyword analysis
-
We are looking for an ideally free suitable rank checking tool to perform a keyword analysis. Previously we used Firefox Rank Checker but currently this is not working effectively as it once did.
We use Authority Labs as a paid tool to track rankings but this is a rank tracking platform and not so effective for a once-off rank check to perform a keyword analysis.
Any thoughts, help or ideas here would be super appreciated!

Moz Analytics only updates rankings automatically once per week, but your Pro subscription also includes Rank Tracker for on-demand rank checks. There's more info on it here.

I've used http://cuterank.net/ (desktop application) before with success. It uses your own IP so if you need to check lots of keywords/locations, you may need proxies.

Hi
For quick one off ranking check on just a few terms I tend to use one of the following:
http://fatjoe.co/fat-rank/ - has a free extension for Chrome - came across this along time ago on Twitter and think it's great.
https://serps.com/tools/rank_checker
As for a platform I tend to use Moz for tracking rankings weekly.
Hope this helps!
Best
Matt

Ranking a homepage for keywords
We recently found a handful of keywords we would like our homepage to rank for (for example - customer experience). On our homepage we have articles (4-5 posted daily) that feature the keywords we are targeting (one being customer experience). How do the keywords we are using in our daily articles that are posted to the homepage affect the overall keyword ranking for the homepage? In other words do the keywords used in the articles (title, first 2-3 paragraphs, meta description, etc.) all roll up/build up to the homepage's keywords or how does that work?

How to choose a Keyword
I searched around for this answer first but got information overload. I write a photography blog and tonight I will put up a post of photography from around Jiyugaoka Train Station. I will probably call the post Around Jiyugaoka Station or Around Jiyugaoka or something like that. I like in Jiyugaoka (a part of Tokyo) so I have other posts that I have keyworded for Jiyugaoka. What is the best way to determine what is the best derivative of 'Jiyugaoka Station' to choose for the best traffic? I assume I could enter them in to manually into the Keyword Analysis but is there is easier way that would give recommendations?

Keyword Stuffing?
I'm the copy writer for a marketing firm, who is doing the SEO work for a website that sells wholesale Disney apparel. I was recently asked to rewrite their homepage blurb, as it was all over the place. However, one thing I'm wondering is if you guys felt the various Disney keyword combinations (IE: Disney Beach Towels, Disney Mugs, Disney Travel Mugs, etc) were necessary for SEO purposes? Or, if they would be considered keyword stuffing? I thought they seemed pretty spammy, but I just wanted to run it by you guys and get your thoughts. Both versions are below. Thanks! Current: Welcome to our website. We are so glad that you have found us, and hope that your ordering experience is a positive one. Here you will find all the Licensed Disney apparel you will ever need to fill your store. We offer Disney apparel in all sizes; infant through plus size. Keyword Difficulty: High or Low?
Looked in the FAQ in the Keyword Difficulty tool but it didn't mention whether or not a higher % or lower % is better. I'm assuming that a higher % means that the keyword is more competitive, is that correct?
