Showing up in Bing and Yahoo, but not Google? - Spa Spot
-
Spa Spot Edmonton is a Client of ours and while it seems that they are performing very well in Bing and Yahoo search engines, the same can't be said about Google. 9 or 10 keywords are on the 1st page with another 9 or 10 on the second pages of Bing and Yahoo, whereas Google is only ranking 3 keywords and the rest do not show up even in the Top 50.
Any ideas?

Private network - essentially if you own all those sites that are linking to you, all using the same template, etc. that's potentially very bad. Especially when done the way you've done it.
If you're using an SEO agency who is building links from sites like hottubgalaxy (dotcom) for you, they're doing a very poor job of hiding their intent. If you are doing this yourself, stop it.
You obviously know a little about SEO given your exact anchor text link to start your question ... but even that, here on Moz, is kind of suspect in most cases. You could just give us the URL.

What is PN?
-
Bing and Yahoo rely more on on-page content for new sites than they do backlinks. Google prefers a good solid base of people linking to you most of the time.
According to Ahrefs you have 53 backlinks from 21 domains. 3 of these domains (and 12 links) are from Edmonton home & garden shows (ie. all the same people). Only 13 of these links are dofollow links and 40 are nofollow - a very strong ratio against you.
You also have pages that don't land in the same place they used to. You have links to /poker-tables/ but that redirects to /game-rooms/#poker-tables
Your Ahrefs anchor text shows about 48% of your referring domains link to the site using the word "hot" and 33% "tubs"
The backlinks you do have from sites like Hot Tub Galaxy, Hot Tubs for All, Just Cat Fishing, etc. are all extremely suspect and look like blatant spam to me.
I would suggest that the better question to ask would be: "why would Google rank this site at all?" At the moment, nothing off-site suggest they should. Sorry for the bad news. (Btw. if that's your PN, that's not how you do a PN.)

Excellent performance in BING, terrible performance in GOOGLE
Dear all, We're struggling with the SEO of our platform www.taobao.nl for 6 months now. I posted some matters before on the MOZ forum and followed up the ideas that i received (tnx again 🙂 But so far there really isn't much result. Recently i found out that my platform is doing excellent in search engine Bing.com (ranking top 3/4 on my main keyword 'taobao') while my platform's homepage is still ranking dramatically in Google on the same keyword (ranking between position 180-280) Does anybody have some insight for me what could be the reason for this or how/where i can fund it out? Many thanks in advance! Sander

PDF Cached by Google, but not showing as link
The following pdf is cached by google: http://www.sba.gov/sites/default/files/files/REFERRAL%20LIST%20OF%20BOND%20AGENCIES_Florida.pdf However, OpenSiteExplorer is not listing any of the links as found in it. With such an authoritative site, I would think Google would value this, right? None of the sites listed rank well though and OpenSiteExplorer's inability to see the links makes me wonder if Google provides these sites any value at all. Is there any link juice or brand mention value here for Google?

Google snippet chosen why?
We have a page about buying property in the Megeve area of the Alps in France. We are No.2 on Google.co.uk for the term "megeve property for sale" and No.1 for "megeve property". http://www.prestigeproperty.co.uk/MegeveProperty/Properties.asp If you search for "megeve property for sale", Google serves our META description as the snippet: Ski chalets, homes and apartments for sale in this exclusive, prestigious Rhone Alpes village - 520000-16500000 EUR. However, we noticed that searching for just "megeve property" serves up a much better snippet taken from the text on the page: A crucial factor for potential property buyers is that there is a strong rental market in Megève and this remains high all year around with properties close to the ... Does anyone know why Google would serve this particular snippet instead of the META description. Is it the number of strong and descriptive words used, or some other reason?

So What On My Site Is Breaking The Google Guidelines?
I have a site that I'm trying to rank for the Keyword "Jigsaw Puzzles" I was originally ranked around #60 or something around there and then all of a sudden my site stopped ranking for that keyword. (My other keyword rankings stayed) Contacted Google via the site reconsideration and got the general response... So I went through and deleted as many links as I could find that I thought Google may not have liked... heck, I even removed links that I don't think I should have JUST so I could have this fixed. I responded with a list of all links I removed and also any links that I've tried to remove, but couldn't for whatever reasons. They are STILL saying my website is breaking the Google guidelines... mainly around links. Can anyone take a peek at my site and see if there's anything on the site that may be breaking the guidelines? (because I can't) Website in question: http://www.yourjigsawpuzzles.co.uk UPDATE: Just to let everyone know that after multiple reconsideration requests, this penalty has been removed. They stated it was a manual penalty. I tried removing numerous different types of links but they kept saying no, it's still breaking rules. It wasn't until I removed some website directory links that they removed this manual penalty. Thought it would be interesting for some of you guys.

We mean, “actually resolve their IRS ... Checking the source code doesn't reveal any reason I can see why they would do that. It happens most often, if not all the time, and only Google results So if anyone would check the source code of my main page and can see why and what needs to be done, I can fix it. Thanks

Remove www. in google webmaster
Hi. My baseball blog (mopupduty.com) shows up as www.mopupduty.com in Google Webmaster tools. This is an issue for me, as my Wordpress plug-in sitemap will only show up on http://mopupduty.com/sitemap.xml , not the www. version Is there any way in changing the www. in webmaster tools without deleting my existing index. The website currently has sitelinks in search results, and I'm not too keen in giving them up via deletion. Thanks
