Hey there! I just followed up on the message you sent into our help team, but I wanted to also post the answer here for reference.
It looks like the robots.txt file may have recently been changed for the site because I created a new campaign for the subdomain and I am not getting that same error. You should no longer see this error on your next campaign update or you could create a new campaign and you would no longer see the error there.
I did notice that you ran a number of crawl tests on the site since the campaign update, but the important thing to realize is that the crawl test can be cached for up to 48 hours. (I removed the crawls in this version of the screenshot for privacy.) We also cache the crawl tests from campaign crawls, so it looks like the first crawl test you ran on the 29th was cached from your campaign crawl and the two subsequent crawl tests were cached from that first crawl test.
Again, I wanted to note that it looks like there are only links to about 2 other pages (terms and privacy) that are on the specific subdomain you are tracking, so we aren't able to crawl beyond those pages. When you limit a campaign to a specific subdomain, we can only access and crawl links that are within the same subdomain.

I am at a lost, I can't find the issue. Let us know what Moz says.
-
I actually have come across a handful URLs that are NoIndex, I'll DM you a list once complete.
I can't be certain this is the root of the problem (I've never seen this error in the crawl report), but based on the error you said you're getting, I believe it's a great starting point.

Hi Logan Ray
thank you for detailed guide, all tools bot are working perfectly except moz's. My robots meta is index, follow and my robots.txt is disallow for none for all user agents. Still there is confusion that why moz is showing crawl error. I have now emailed to moz. Let's see what they reply. I will share that.
thank you

Hi,
This sounds like it's more related to the meta robots tag, not the robots.txt file.
Try this:
- Run a Screaming Frog crawl on your site
- Once complete, go to the Directives tab
- Look for 'NoIndex' in the 'Meta Robots 1' column (should be the 3rd column)
- If you see anything marked with that tag, remove them - unless of course you need them there for a reason, in which case you should also block that page in your robots.txt file
-
Are you able to provide a link to site (DM me if you don't want it posted on the forum)

I am receiving crawl error for moz only.
There is no error at google's search console. Also, I have tested at google's robots.txt testing tool. https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/robots-testing-too
My robots.txt file is with no slash.
User-agent: *
Disallow: -
Hi Bhomes,
Try clearing you robots.txt of any content, a robots.txt with:
User-agent: *
Disallow:/
Is blocking everything from crawling your site. See: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6062598?hl=en for testing and more details on robots.txt

Page Optimization Error
Hi, I am trying to track a page optimization feature for one of my project, https://www.writemyessay247.com for keyword: write my essay but i keep getting this below error: "Page Optimization Error There was a problem loading this page. Please make sure the page is loading properly and that our user-agent, rogerbot, is not blocked from accessing this page." I checked robots.txt file, it all looks fine. Not sure what is the problem? Is it a problem with Moz or the website?

Is the Content Suggestions section under Page Optimization a TF-IDF Analysis?
If you start a campaign in Moz, go to page optimization, enter a URL and keyword, and go to the bottom where it says "Content Suggestions" is that basically do a TF-IDF analysis? I want to make sure I understand how that works. Thanks!

How to increase Page Authority
Hi All, I have had some free time lately and have wanted to try and figure out how Moz calculates page authority and what I can do to increase page authority. For instance, I have a real estate site (As some of you may know already) and of course there are places like Zillow.com who have amazing Domain Authority and even page authority for a certain address. So this is just some random address to where most of the local sites I compete with have a PA of 1. Is there a way to get that PA up? Would it be sharing it on Social Media, or writing a blog post about it (which I of course would not want do do with every listing (hundreds) but was curious how Zillow could have such a high page rank on a property that maybe came up a day or two ago. Examples: zillow: http://goo.gl/99A57C my site: http://goo.gl/K6xmW6 Thanks for any guidance!

Moz crawler only crawls one page?!
Hello there, I'm using Moz for a while and I'm very pleased with the tool and community. But for the first time I encountered a problem. We are trying to run a crawler for a client's website but only one page (only the homepage) was crawled. We tried to do a test on a more detailed level (maybe there is something wrong with the homepage). My campaign test's crawl came back for the Producten folder (level deeper than homepage), and it was also only a 1 page crawl with a 200 status. I did look at the robots.txt file now, and it is very restrictive, but there is nothing that I can clearly see that would explain why the crawl isn't working. Hopefully someone can point us at the right direction. Thanks in advance, Jeremy

Will robots.txt override a Firewall for Rogerbot?
Hey everybody. Our server guy, who is sorta difficult, has put these ridiculous security measures in place which lock people out of our website all the time. Basically if I ping the website too many times I get locked out, and that's just on my own, doing general research. Regardless, all of our audits are coming back with 5xx errors and I asked if we could add rogerbot to the robots.txt. He seems to be resistant to the idea and just wants to adjust the settings to his firewall... Does anybody know if putting that in the Robots.txt will override his firewall/ping defense he has put in place? I personally think what he has done is WAY too overkill, but that is besides the point. Thanks everybody.

My product pages have no weight / links from root domains with the Moz tool bar
Hi, When I view my home page (http://www.arkwildlife.co.uk) with the Moz toolbar, I see a good PA and a good amount of links from root domains. As I go down the site, it seems to get worse. The category pages (http://www.arkwildlife.co.uk/Category/0/Straight_Foods.html) have a little but not much and then from this point onwards, it's nothing. The product page (http://www.arkwildlife.co.uk/Item/Straight_Foods~Sunflower_Seeds/SUNH/Premium_Sunflower_Hearts.html) is reporting to have no root domain links but I am not sure why. Interestingly, when I click through to a review page (http://www.arkwildlife.co.uk/StockReview/0/SUNH/0/Premium_Sunflower_Hearts.html) it does have some juice. Would anyone be able help on why this is happening and what I need to be looking at in order to resolve it please? EDIT: I've been looking at the hyperlinks and notice something odd. If I review the score with the first link below, it gives a score of 1, but the second gives a PA of 13 with one root domain linked. 1:http://www.arkwildlife.co.uk/Item/Straight_Foods~Sunflower_Seeds/SUNH/Premium_Sunflower_Hearts.html 2:http://www.arkwildlife.co.uk/Item/Straight_Foods%7ESunflower_Seeds/SUNH/Premium_Sunflower_Hearts.html Please note the "%7E" instead of the "~" in the URL. The browser appears to show the ~ character no matter what but the rank of the page changes. I don't understand what the Moz toolbar is doing with this. Note: This behaviour only happens in Mozilla Firefox, in chrome both the rankings are zero for each URL. Many Thanks.
