High Page Authority / Low Domain Authority
-
I have been building links to the home page of my web site. At this point, the site has a DA of 22 and the home page has a PA of 35. I am a bit puzzled as to how the PA can be so much higher than DA. I suppose it might have something to do with the fact that most of the inbound links are going to the home page. Are there any other factors that might be contributing to this situation? Does it point to a weakness in our backlink profile?

Billy is right, for all intents and purposes. It's VERY possible—even probable—that the authority difference is due to the bulk of your backlinks going to that page.

High high PA and lower DA is simply because the DA is an average of each page's PA (at least that's how I understand it). It may not be quite that simple with certain page's weighing more in the average but I believe that is the simplest way to look at it.
In my personal market it is very hard, if not impossible to get links to any page other than the home page so I use very thought out internal linking structures to spread authority throughout the website. However, I do not believe I have ever seen a website who's Home Page Authority was not considerably higher than the over all DA - for instance, the site I am working on right now has a DA of 59 and a PA (on the home page) of 65 while the PA of one of the internal pages is 43...

Why would someone go to same 404 page over and over?
Good morning, I've been using the redirection plugin on my wordpress site and noticed i have multiple IP addresses going to the same folder on my site - like "mydomain.com/folder-name/". The "folder-name" is obviously not anything remotely like any folder or file name I have on my domain - so it's obviously spammy in nature. And, there are multiple IP addresses going to this same URL address every 3 hours on the dot, so it's appears automated. Is this something to be concerned about? Should I "do" anything? Thanks in advance for reading and replying!

SEO and page redirects from a high ranking site quandary
We are launching a site on a new domain that is taking the place of a group (subset) of pages in an existing domain. BUT The pages on the existing domain have really good SEO rankings in a very competitive category and we want to leverage the traffic it gets today in the best way, so.... Which of the following would be the best practice in this case (in regards to SEO)? Modify the existing pages' content so that there are prominent calls to action that lead the users to the new domain. Create permanent redirects for the existing pages for their counterparts on the new domain. This is more direct for the user but we don't know how it will affect the current ranking. Something other than the above. Many thanks for you help Gary

Freaked out over domain authority ranking drop.
Should I be freaked out that website's domain authority dropped 4 points? Is it normal for websites to fluctuate a couple of points or have I really screwed something up?

MozTrust VERY low
Our mozTrust number is just 1.06. Looking at the rankings for important keywords for us, the sites around us all have over 4. However on closer inspection, even some with a mozTrust of over 4 don't really have much of a different linking profile than our site. With one competitor, I've looked on OpenSiteExplorer comparing link metrics, and we get tickmarks for everything other than mozTrust (1.06 us, 4.5 them). What could posssibly be causing such a low number, and how important a factor is this in SERPS?

Http://lsapi.seomoz.com pop up
I am getting this pop up on every page I visit: A username and password are being requested by http://lsapi.seomoz.com. The site says: "SEOmoz" I've searched some forums and see that others are experiencing it as well. The advice was to log into my seomoz account, however that did not work...any ideas?

How fast can page authority be grown
I understand that it is easier to rank for a particular keyword given a higher DA score. How fast can page authority be established and grown for a given keyword if DA is equal to 10/20/30/50? What are the relative measures that dictate the establishment and growth of this authority? Can it be enumerated to a percentage of domain links? or a percentage of domain links given an assumed C-Block ratio? For example you have a website with DA of 40, and you want to target a new keyword, the average PA of the top ranked pages is 30, the average domain links are 1,000, and the average number of linking domains is 250 - if you aim to build 1,000 links per month from 500 linking domains, how fast can you approximate the establishment of page authority for the keyword?
