Keyword explorer and Scandinavia
-
Hi, congrats on launching keyword explorer!
Is the data primarily focused on the US and other larger markets, I see that for the keywords I put in I'm not getting any volume data? When can we expect this to change?
Best regards,
Anders

Hi Anders - totally not your fault; it's ours. We have volume data that's US-centric currently, and don't have data for Norway (or other countries) yet. We're working first on UK, Canada, and Australia, and then will try to get other countries' search volume data, too.
Apologies for that - in the meantime, my suggestion is to use AdWords KW Planner data for volume and select the specific country.

Hi Kristina, thank you for your reply.
I of course selected Norway from the drop-down.
I guess I did a bad job at explaining the issue. Here I go:
I believe the problem lies in the algorithm, when I type in words I know are the most searched after in Norway I get 0-10 as a volume score. I therefore wonder if the algorithm is weighted correctly, since Norway only has 5 million people it's logical that we can't be using the same search volume scales as the US. But to me it seems that this is the case, and that you guys should improve on this so that I can get realistic volume results based on the search market size.
Does this clarify? I guess this could almost could be tagged as a feature request, but I know you guys are brilliant so I thought you would have thought of this already.

Hi there! Kristina from Moz's Help Team here. Thanks so much - we really hope you're enjoying the tool!
In the Keyword Explorer search box, you have the option of choosing the country in the drop down box next to the search box. Here is a screenshot of the field I'm referring to: http://screencast.com/t/4hU9IurJVw
Does changing this field based on the country you're interested in help at all?
Thank you,
-Kristina

Lack of UK Keyword Volume Data In Moz
Is it just me or is there a considerable lack of keyword Volume data for UK Google search terms on Moz? I have 53 keywords and not a single one has any keyword volume data - these are not obscure terms and include the following as examples... leather satchel, leather laptop bag, satchels, leather bag, leather backpack, leather school satchel. Without this information aren't a lot of the services offered by Moz rather academic as it is impossible to know which terms are really worth targeting. What is the solution? I could use US data and hope it is similar but this seems close to a deal breaker for UK subscribers.

Keywords Score Meter
Hi Moz, I am using the keywords difficulty tool from your site and find it is quite useful 🙂 I research the community and find the data should be interpreted in the following way. But when I did a quick research for one keyword. The tool bar gives me a data of 22% showing in Yellow and says the keyword is competitive when I hover my mouse. Should this be **Blue **and easy to rank keyword based on the score? Which one should I believe? Sub 30 - (Blue) Low hanging fruit you can take advantage of. 30 - 35 (Green) Fairly easy with good on page and some quality anchored links. 35 - 40 - (Yellow) Will take a bit more work but still in reach may require, good on-site SEO and a solid link profile. 40 - 50 (Orange) Domain authority plays a much more pivotal role so it may take longer to rank for. 50+ (Red) All about resources. Onsite SEO needs to be totally nailed, including internal linking/ topic modelling etc. a strong & diverse link profile with good social signals and ... time. Thanks in advance. Keyword Analysis: Limited to 400 Keywords per day?!
I needed to do keyword research, but to my absolute horror I see this: "Currently we are only able to offer results for 400 keywords per user per day." I need to check more than 400 today, how can I use more? I don;t want to have to pay for 10 accounts or something!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remove this limit! I would be willing to pay more than $99 per month!!

Keyword Difficulty and Analysis
Hi There - I'm using MOZ's keyword difficulty and analysis tool to understand the difficulty of a given set of keywords. To my surprise- I appear number 1 on Google, for a keyword with a difficulty of 36% On the other hand, for few other with difficulty in range 16% - 25%, I appear on the second or third page. In regards to page optimization, and back links i'm far better off on these ones than the other one (with 36%). Any reason why that would be the case ? PS: I've already analyzed the possibility of DA or PA, but it doesn't make sense. As the latter ones always scores better. Thanks, K

Keyword Difficulty, can I change local and global search volume results from Bing to Google?
Under the Keyword Difficulty tool among the information provided to you when you complete a search is a local and global search volume. Above those numbers it says "Bing Search Volume (Exact Match)" is there any way to change this from Bing to Google? Or do I not understand what exact information they are giving me here?
