Google Results Title vs My Page Title
-
I'm having some trouble with my titles of a new site, it has been online for around two months now and i'm getting weird titles from most indexed pages.
Since my site is focused on finding courses, the course title format is the following:
URL: https://www.maseducacion.com/estudios/programacion-curricular--tecnigrap-2982
My Title: Course - Institute | Mybrand
Google Search Title: Course - Institute | Mybrand - EducativaHalf of my results have that word at the end, don't know where it comes from, that word is only included in two links.
Any idea on how to fix it?

Thanks, I guess I'll have to wait and see once we are out of the sandbox.
If nothing chances I'll start suggesting changing that keyword.
Thanks again

Google will return whatever title it thinks best, even if the title it returns is not related to the title you have chosen. Usually this works well, sometimes it does not.
In your case, I think it is not because from what I can tell the tab at the top that has that word on it is a toggle to bring you to that content and not describing the page you are on.
If having that word there is problematic, you can try rewording the tab (it is near the top so Google pays more attention to it). However as your site develops more contextual search traffic, Google will learn more about your content based on searchers' behavior and presumably start returning a better title.

Hi everyone, thanks for your answers, I'll be a bit more specific.
I believe my site is still on the "sandbox" (2 months old), so the only way to find results to my site in google is by either use the command site:mysite.com or with "mybrand" + keyword.
Now as an example, my query is the following one:
"maseducacion" pregrado ("my brand" keyword)So on first place I get this result and title:
https://www.maseducacion.com/buscar-estudios/pregrado (Is a search result on my site)Title: Estudios de Pregrado | MásEducación - Educativa
My Title is: Estudios de Pregrado | MásEducación
Now the word "Educativa" exists as a long tail keyword at the top as "Soy Institución Educativa" and at the bottom as "Instituciones Educativas". Still don't how is it added to the title since is not related to the title itself

As Linda as pointed out as well, the title tags displayed in SERPs depend on your search query.
I can see that the word exists on the page. If you could share your search query then someone here might be able to help you

Google will show the results it thinks will be most useful to the searcher--it doesn't always use the title that you gave it. (You will also sometimes see different titles depending on what the search term is.) What are you searching for when you see those results?

Google indexes page elements
Hello We face this problem that Google indexes page elements from WordPress as single pages. How can we prevent these elements from being indexed separately and being displayed in the search results? For example this project: www.rovana.be When scrolling down the search results, there are a lot of elements that are indexed separately. When clicking on the link, this is wat we see (see attachements) Does anyone have experience with this way of indexing and how can we solve this problem? Thanks! LlAWG4w.png C7XDDYS.png gVroomx.png

Page Load Timings: How accurate is Google Analytics Data?
Hello Guys, what are your experiences? How accurate is google analytics data regarding page load times? I know that one of my sites has trouble with pageload times, especially in India and USA. We are based in middle Europe and regarding to the GA data we have here in middle europe of about 2 seconds page load time. Moreover we have of about 4 seconds in USA and 10 seconds in India. Therefore I decided to test for a few sides a CDN (on these pages all static files are served over the CDN). However, first GA data indicates, that the page load times are even getting worse!!! But when I test it for example with pingdom (http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/) and compare it with an old landing page without CDN implementation, the tool says it's faster. The CDN provider (maxcdn) send me also some reports, which indicate, that the page load time should be faster...That's the reason why I ask about your experience with the GA page load time data, because personally I get the impression you cannot trust the data... Thanks for your help! Cheers

Page titles in browser not matching WP page title
I have an issue with a few page titles not matching the title I have In WordPress. I have 2 pages, blog & creative gallery, that show the homepage title, which is causing duplicate title errors. This has been going on for 5 weeks, so its not an a crawl issue. Any ideas what could cause this? To clarify, I have the page title set in WP, and I checked "Disable PSP title format on this page/post:"...but this page is still showing the homepage title. Is there an additional title setting for a page in WP?

The word 'shop' in a page title
I'm reworking most of the page titles on our site and I'm considering the use of the word 'Shop' before a product category. ex. Shop 'keyword' | Brand Name As opposed to just using the keyword sans 'Shop.' Some of the keywords are very generic, especially for a top level category page. Question: Is the word 'Shop' damaging my SEO efforts in any way?

How to know which pages are indexed by Google?
So apparently we have some sites that are just duplicates of our original main site but aiming at different markets/cities. They have completely different urls but are the same content as our main site with different market/city changed. How do I know for sure which ones are indexed. I enter the url into Google and its not there. Even if I put in " around " it. Is there another way to query google for my site? Is there a website that will tell you which ones are indexed? This is probably a dumb question.
