Lack of UK Keyword Volume Data In Moz
-
Is it just me or is there a considerable lack of keyword Volume data for UK Google search terms on Moz?
I have 53 keywords and not a single one has any keyword volume data - these are not obscure terms and include the following as examples...
leather satchel, leather laptop bag, satchels, leather bag, leather backpack, leather school satchel.
Without this information aren't a lot of the services offered by Moz rather academic as it is impossible to know which terms are really worth targeting.
What is the solution? I could use US data and hope it is similar but this seems close to a deal breaker for UK subscribers.

Yes, I am looking in my Tracked Keywords which is where I need this information.
When will this likely be fixed? It is making it hard to use the reports at all right now and flicking between other reports (which I may not have full access to) is not really a solution.
Keyword difficulty is only helpful in the context of keyword volume. One without the other does not enable a sensible targeting decision to be made.

In that case, how come the KWE is now missing data for keywords which it previously (last summer) had? There are some keywords that I previously got data for from the KWE but now it says "no data". For the UK, the number of keywords with "no data" has definitely increased.

We actually still use Keyword Planner as a major data source! You can read about how it goes into our bucket model here: https://moz.com/blog/sweating-details-google-keyword-tool-volume
We've also instituted our own fix for the grouping trend that Google is moving toward. For more information on how we're keeping Keyword Explorer data clean and accurate, please check out this blog post by Russ Jones: https://moz.com/blog/google-keyword-unplanner-clickstream-data-to-the-rescue

Yeah, I am having the same issues within our vertical, e.g. for one list of keywords, I only get search volume data for 47 out of 168 keywords, for another list I get search volume data for 88 out of 192 keywords. Unfortunately I haven't found Keyword Explorer all that useful since they lost access to keyword planner (Google) data.
I have started relying more on keyword planner again but that said, keyword planner has also become a lot less useful over the past 6 months since they started combining search volume for singulars, plurals, acronyms etc.

Hi there, and sorry for the trouble!
I checked on these keywords in Keyword Explorer and we actually do have UK volume data available for 'leather satchel', 'leather laptop bag', 'satchels', 'leather bag', 'leather backpack', and 'leather school satchel'. Are you possibly looking at these volumes in the Tracked Keywords Overview in your campaign? We are experiencing a bug right now where many UK customers don't see the volumes populate in their campaigns even though we have data for them. The engineers are working on the issue at this time. In the meantime, checking keywords in Keyword Explorer is going to be your best bet.
If you do happen to find a keyword with no volume data in Keyword Explorer, the good news is that your Keyword Difficulty score is unaffected by volume data, as it relies on SERP rankings, so you can definitely still find useful data there. The SERP Analysis section can also be useful.
I hope that helps!

Keyword Research Using K Explorer for Company with No Competitors
Hello, I'm doing keyword research for vapementors.com I'm trying to use Moz's Keyword Explorer to do keyword research for them, but it's tough. They have no real direct competitors. I typed in a lot of related keywords in KE but couldn't find anything real high traffic. So far I have just gave them a list that I extracted from a bunch of KE results, but they rank for most of them already and there wasn't a lot of insight from my list. What do you suggest? Thanks

Keyword Explorer - Unable to complete searches for data?
Hey guys, I'm in the process of completing some keyword research using Keyword Explorer but every time I complete a search I'm told that explorer is unable to perform the search at this time and that I should refresh the page, or search with a new query. Is anyone else having this issue/had this problem in the past?

GA snippets for subdomains and best tracking in MOZ
Hey there, I have a blog running at blog.URL.com. I need to add Google Analytics and I want to track the value of this subdomain as separate from the main URL. Can I do that? If I do a unique snippet in the header of the blog is that the right way to go? The main site is on an antiquated CMS system and will be converted over the next few months to a full on WP site, does that change anything long-term? Thanks in advance for your help. Cheers, Lisa

All in favor of an "Announcements" category section say MOZ!
So this is just a thought. I am not Rand, therefor I am not the Moz man himself, and therefor I am not telling anybody how to run this website or forum. But, I've been thinking... and usually that a dangerous thing. So many times when I answer a question I end it with: "Keep me posted" "Keep us updated" "Good Luck" In the same light there have been plenty of times when I have had my questions answered by people like EGOL, RobertFIsher, KeriMorget and they have said that they have wanted me to keep them posted. Now sure, some of you are sitting there being Melancholy Mozzers thinking that all those wonderful people are just being polite by adding some nice parting words... but what if I they are being Sincere Seoers? What if I WANT to fill them in and don't want to ask a question? What if... THEY REALLY LIKE ME?!?! I could also send a DM to those 3 people, I mean let's get honest I'm not THAT popular.... but I can dream can't I? Again, this isn't really an SEO question, more of a thought on where I'm supposed to give updates on my project. In all honesty I do want feedback on what I'm doing, and sometimes I don't even know what questions I'm supposed to ask!

Clarify "broad keyword usage in page title"
Hello Page grader has two different grades for page title that I want clarification on. There is "Broad Keyword Usage in Page Title" and "Exact Keyword Usage in Page Title". Googling around about and searching here I have found that "broad" seems to mean the keywords should be used throughout the page, rather than just in the title and header. Which makes sense as this is a kind of check to ensure the page IS about the keywords and not something unrelated. But what is meant by "broad" usage in the page title? This refers specifically to the page title and not the whole document. My best guess got me to this, given the keyword "Visit London Today"; "Come and visit London today" - exact match only "London - visit today" - broad match only "Visit London the city of dreams | visit London today" - matches both That could be complete nonsense, but basically is broad usage the use of keywords scattered in the page title? Thanks.
