Lead Conversion on Facebook
-
Hi Mozzers,
We are currently running FB ads and I am wondering if I should rely on the facebook lead conversion metric https://cl.ly/412f1j1a021I. I tend to rely heavily on Google Analytics for this kind of data(by adding goals). Of course GA doesn't not show as much conversions as Facebook does.
So which platform should I be relying on for conversion metrics?
Thanks for letting me know!

If you use lead-IQ.com you can even find out the person's name behind the goal conversions from any source traffic and also facebook of course. Basically it goes deeper than Google Analytics goals which are just number of goals. The problem with GA is that you do not know if those goal conversions are any good, which is a big limitation in GA and Facebook conversion tracking.

Hi Chris,
Yeah I am getting different results. Lead numbers on Facebook are way higher(+20%) than what GA is showing me. We have been creating UTMs for all the facebook ads.
Hope this helps!

I agree that GA makes sense in terms of being a more neutral source for conversion tracking. You'll just want to make sure that you're properly using utm params!
I'm not sure if you're using Facebook lead ads, but I just started using them for Moz, and those will get you leads that you most likely wouldn't need to check in another platform as Facebook will have a report of your leads' details for you. Here's more info about those:

Hope that helps!

Hello,
My first suggestion would be to use Google Analytics, it's typically the go to for any tracking. Can you elaborate more on the issue with GA? Are you getting different results? Do you need to create a custom URL for tracking?
Chris

Wordpress lead form submission recovery?
Is there a way (through a log maybe) to recover any leads submitted through a wordpress lead form? The form was submitting the leads to the wrong email address. Before we could change it to the right email for submission into the CRM, we lost dozens of click-throughs. Thanks

Can you do strict CPC advertising on Facebook?
There has been some debate amongst my colleagues that Facebook obscures it's advertising spend options. This for setting up ads to go directly to a website. I understand that Facebook offers both CPM & PPC https://www.facebook.com/help/125430440869478. However lets say that an advertiser hypothetical sets up a campaign and for some reason the ad receives absolutely no clicks (but some impressions). Will the advertiser still be charged?

How Do You Remove the "Google Site Stats" Tag from a Conversion Page
Our company does not want it up there. Is there a way to remove it without have to change the conversion tracking code? It's quite a pain given our internal processes to overhaul many conversion codes. Is there an easy way to do this so that we can simply remove the tag?

Google Adwords Conversion Tracking Code Help - Not Showing Conversions
Hi, all. I am having issues with a clients website. They have their website developed by a company http://www.flowerstoreinabox.com.au/ my clients website is http://www.flawlessflowers.com.au the google adwords conversion tracking code has been added to their site. It measures all details as far as ads clicked on, etc.. the only part that is not been measured is the conversions of the adwords campaign. So I cannot see if the ads are successful or what their conversion % is. I have looked at the code on the thank you page and the google adwords conversion code is present on the thank you page after the sale. I am not a coder and so not sure what to look at if all the details on the checkout page exist in the code to measure the adwords conversion ecommerce transactions correctly. I have provided a link to the source code of the competed order page. Channel Conversion Rates
Hey Mozzers - i was hoping to have a discussion with you guys on conversion rates and would love any feedback on comparative metrics. I plan on keeping my client anonymous and feel free to do the same if you would like. Lets start with some background. This client is an online retailer selling golf training ads, the products range from $20-40, he is based out of the US and this site is targeting consumers (B2C). So far i have assisted him with some site analysis and setting up some pay-per-click campaigns. I feel like his site is doing pretty well conversion-wise but i have little experience with conversion metrics with ecommerce (mostly just lead generation, etc). Here is a quick break down on channel conversion rates: PPC: 0.8% - 1.7%

Organic: 6.8% - 15%
Direct: 6.2% - 13% His overall site conversion rate is between 2-3% So my question is to you guys. Is this average, above, or below in your past experiences? Based on my research a site conversion rate of 2-3 is pretty good for ecommerce, however i felt like my PPC conversion rate is kind of low. Thanks for the insight - Kyle1 -
Facebook PPC. Using Google URL Builder - Now What?
Hey There! So I've been trying some FB PPC ads. I recently learned I needed to use Google's URL builder to add the appropriate tracking fields into the URL (source, campaign, etc). The FB ad link now uses a custom URL with all the correct parameters. Now what do I do in analytics? Do I create a filter? A goal? Getting a little dizzy going in circles with google analytic help, and I'm hoping someone here can direct me. Thanks! -Dan
