Wordpress Plugin That Creates Separate OG Tags vs Title Tags?
-
Does anyone know of a Wordpress plugin that allows you to create different tags for Open Graph (and potentially even Twitter) than standard Title and Meta Description Tags?
As far as I can tell, most plugins just force OG and Twitter to use whatever the standard Title Tag and Description Tag are. But we'd like separate fields for each. Standard Page Titles need a bit of extra keyword love, whereas social media titles we'd like a bit more freedom to focus on branding and creativity / CTR.
Tips/feedback appreciated, thank you!

OH MY GOD. It was so hard to find. Thanks for enlightening me.

It is part of the free version as i mentioned above.
The interface is changing a lot, you can find it right after pages / posts. Where you can change Meta Description and Title. At the Moment (newest YOAST Version) there is on the left side a light-gray "Share-Icon" if you click there, you can edit the social tags.

Thanks so much for your responses!
Is this capability part of the free version of Yoast? I can't figure out where or how to enable this at all. This article has instructions, but the interface shown doesn't match what we have.

Yes, like Andreas mentions. The Yoast WordPress SEO Plugin can do exactly this. We've been using it this way at TNW for a while.

Yoast SEO Plugin is doing that since years.
You are able to chose a Twitter/OG-image, a separate title and description - for both twitter and OG.All you need...
For the homepage, pages and posts - for everything. Working in free version...

Rel Publisher Tag is showing in SERPS, with Rel Author Picture
Hi, This is occurring on a few of my pages on a website I manage. Our homepage, which only has the correct rel publisher code to our brand Google+ page, just started this weekend showing with Rel Author rich snippet. Also, a test with Google's rich snippet testing tool shows the correct Brand Page and Logo, not authorship. Only is SERPS does it show incorrectly Has anyone had this happen, and how did you overcome?

Benefits and cons of hosting video content vs hosting via youtube
Hi if a site is hosting its own videos (not embedding them on youtube) is there less benefits then getting youtube to host it, and then embedding the youtube video. For instance: For benefits such as building channel authority, easy to rank the video in the search engines hosted on youtube, better opportunity to increase visitors and traffic and higher chance for the video to spread and rank for the keyword when hosted on youtube. What do you guys think?

Setting Up Author Tags on Wordpress Blog
Hi, I am trying to set up author tags on my Wordpress blog (http://www.bradkrussell.com.au) so that my author profile shows in Google SERPs. I'm following Yoast's article - http://yoast.com/wordpress-rel-author-rel-me/ - and I did everything up to the "How to allow authors to add rel="me" to links in their bio's" section. Basically, in Wordpress under Appearance -> Menus for the About Me page I set 'link relationship' = author. Then on my Google + page (https://plus.google.com/u/0/110649694696756559049/posts) under the 'Contributor To' section on the About tab I linked back to the About Me page on my blog. Upon checking on Google Australia it appears that this was done correctly - https://www.google.com.au/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=site%3Abradkrussell.com.au. My questions are: Do I need to link back to my About Me page from every post I do? E.g. 'Written by Brad Russell' - linking to About Me. It appears I don't but does it help? Some of the results on Google Australia show 'By Brad Russell' but some don't. I'm just not sure if this is because the site hasn't been reindexed properly yet. What happens if in the future I have multiple authors on my blog? I give them a new username in Wordpress but how do I specify that they are the author of the post? Do I need to create an 'Authors' section on my site? If I then specify an Authors page as link relationship = author, how do I link each post to the necessary author page? I still don't really understand the rel=me tag and how I implement it on Wordpress. I'm not sure how to edit the functions.php and author.php files on Wordpress (ie the second half of Yoast's article). Many thanks!

FB og: tags - why?
Hi everyone, Can someone explain the benefits of adding OG tags to a site? As far as I can see/read doing this 'enables a site to become part of the FB social graph' (or similar..) ...and that's what exactly? (confused smiley) Cheers.

Is the DoFollow vs NoFollow ratio important?
Our website has almost 50/50 ratio of dofollow and nofollow links, and our competitors have "better" ratios (more dofollow links). I suspect it is mainly due to Twitter - several of my blog posts went viral, and had thousands of tweets in total - and twitter links are all nofollow. But I'm not sure about that - do these link count? Also, do you think that this could cause problems? Should I worry about writing too much viral content without building traditional links first?

Twitter Hash Tags Leave Me A Liitle Confused :-(
Good Afternoon from 9 degrees C wetherby UK I'm trying to get a better understanding of how search results are retrieved in Twitter. Take this scanario for instance. Via twitter search (see screen grab for illustration ) you enter Vintage Clothing. The results

show tweets where some have #Vintage #clothing in the text whilst others just have the term vintage clothing in the tweet. So my question is please... "If your client asks how do i get my tweets picked up by searchers looking for vintage clothing should i ad hash tags or not bother and just mention the term in the tweek" Put another way, why do some tweeters hash tag a key pharse and place term in the snippet. I'm, a bit confused... 0 -
Open Graph Tags Being Spidered By Google?
Do Facebook Open Graph tags get spidered by Google? I have a site I'm looking at and they've implemented these tags on the entire site, but with the same title and description on every page. I'm assuming if you use these tags, give each page their own unique tags. But do these have an effect on rankings at all? Does googlebot see them and take them into account?

Sharethis vs addthis
We currently use Sharethis, but I've noticed many sites using Addthis for sharing. Is there any preference or reason to use one more than the other?
