Hello,

I'm no Wordpress developer so need a little help please. I have manually created a video sitemap. It needs to be uploaded to the website. Where should the .xml file be uploaded onto Wordpress? Which directory?

Is it Ok to add the code to a notepad file and upload? I'm trying to avoid the plugin route if possible.

Hmmm, why not go the plugin route. You seem to try something that is obviously meant to be handled in a plugin.

Anyway, what you could do is just put the XML file in the root folder of your WordPress install. From there on it should be available and accessible on your server.

Https vs http sitemap

I have a site that does a 301 redirect from http to https I currently have a sitemap auto submitted to google webmaster tools using the http pages. (because i didnt have https before) should I disable that sitemap for http and create one for the https only?

Wordpress multilanguage sitemaps

Hi, I have a multilingual wordpress site. which is in Bulgarian and English - translated using qtranslate. The xml sitemap of the 2 languages is in one sitemap file- all the links for the Bulgarian and English version are in one file. (Our web is using this plugin - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-xml-sitemaps-v3-for-qtranslate Do you have any idea how can I make separate xml sitemap for every language? I ask you here because may be you have identical problems with your multilanguage wordpress website. Videos not indexed yet in google analytics

Hi I submitted a video stemap to google webmasters a month ago and it shows submitted videos in webmasters account but it is not showing that any video been indexed by google yet. I am not sure whats the issue because its taking long time or may be some error is there. Amit

Wordpress Robots.txt Sitemap submission?

Yes, I have submitted the sitemap to google, bing's webmaster tools and and I want to add the location of our site's sitemaps and does it mean that I erase everything in the robots.txt right now and replace it with? <code>User-agent: * Disallow: Sitemap: http://www.example.com/none-standard-location/sitemap.xml</code> <code>???</code> because Wordpress comes with some default disallows like wp-admin, trackback, plugins. I have also read this, but was wondering if this is the correct way to add sitemap on Wordpress Robots.txt. Value Of You Tube Videos Embedded on Site

I have seen this response http://www.seomoz.org/qa/view/36353/video-sitemaps-for-youtube-embedded-videos That basically answers this question by saying that Google will give value to the site embedding the video. However I have seen much talk about this whether this really ads any value to the actual site. So By searching videos on Google my site will NOT come up in the results for any embedded video. What would the actual value be?
