How i get link to my website
-
hi
i'm very new in seo
want to have links to my website:www.warningbroker.com
how i can get links to my website?
-
Ahhh ok I follow you
Yes, in that case, that is be a much better approach! Thanks for clearing that up. Cheers!
-
Sorry Bryan - I probably should have clarified my response
I wouldn't touch press release websites with someone else's barge pole. I was referring to press release tools that give you access to journalist/bloggers lists - You have to earn your brand mention/link with content that they want to write about about and link to.

Hey James!
The typical form of press releases being spun across a network of PR sites is a dark path. Over the years Google has implemented several algorithmic changes to discount these links.
Before going this route be sure to read up on Google's link scheme guidelines. Would hate to see you (or anyone for that matter) caught up being penalized. Consider Press Release links as "Nofollow" and be sure not to use multiple links with keyword optimized anchor text to avoid any penalties.
We stopped using press releases 10+ years ago and have focused our efforts in other areas of value.
Press releases that are sourced from the press side is where you'll get the most value. Those are difficult to acquire but they are the best source for links & referrals. Hope this helps! Cheers James!

Thanks Bryan! As of this morning, I'm now the very first listing in the organic results for my targeted key word!
-
I always find a press release tool can be handy - So long as you have something relevant to discuss within you're niche
-
I love it, thats awesome!!
Sounds like a great strategy and all you have to do now is rinse/repeat. Seems to me like you are becoming quite the expert, but I respect your humbleness. I know a good amount of self-proclaimed "SEO Experts" who've been in the business for years that can't think outside the box enough to pull off what you are doing.
Great work DLG, cheers!!

Sure, happy to share! I'm definitely not an SEO expert by any means, but this worked for me. For the past 2 months the only link building I've done has been through guest posting. When I started, my site showed upon in Google organic results on page 5 for one of my main key words. As of 2 days ago, I now show up at the very bottom of page 1 for the same key word.
I got started just by researching reputable sites on Google and checking their DA using to Moz toolbar. I contacted any sites that I liked and asked if they accept guest submissions. A lot weren't interested, but enough said yes. I spent a good amount of time on this, and on writing articles, but it's been worth it. My content isn't anything amazing, but it's relevant and publishable. I probably only have about 5 articles published with sites that have a DA of higher than 50 (I think the highest DA is 82), but it's already made a huge difference over the past 2 months. As soon as my site got on page 1 (2 days ago), I've been getting significantly more calls from potential new clients.
Another thing that's really helped me get new clients is the local results on Google. I now show up in the top 3 local results for the same key word I was talking about. I started having clients leave Google reviews (which I hadn't done in the past) and I immediately noticed my position climb in the local results.
So I haven't really done anything fancy. I've just spent the time to make contacts and write articles, but it's definitely been the best ROI for time I've spent on SEO so far. Now I have some good contacts that are will to accept regular submissions, so I'm definitely going to keep at it!

Hey DLG, thanks!
I'd love to hear more about what has worked for you in regards to guest posting. Please do tell
-
Yep, what Bryan said. I've also had a lot of luck with guest posting for other reputable sites that are willing to give me a dofollow link. In fact, guest posting has given me the best ROI on my SEO efforts so far. It's required a fairly significant time commitment, but other than that it's been free. I'm happy to share more on what's worked for me if you like.

Hey there! Here are some basic principles to follow...
Step 1: Add a blog to your site
Step 2: Publish articles about relevant, industry related topics that your readers will find valuable
Step 3: Share your article(s) on social media outlets
Step 4: Perform outreach
Here is a great article on the topic from Neil Patel. Read up, read it again and then get to work!
This should get you moving in the right direction. Hope this helps!

Website not ranking
Firstly, apologies for the long winded question. I'm 'newish' to SEO We have a website built on Magento , www.excelclothing.com We have been online for 5 years and had reasonable success. Having used a few SEO companies in the past we found ourselves under a 'partial manual penalty' early last year. By July we were out of penalty. We have been gradually working our way through getting rid of 'spammy' links. Currently the website ranks for a handful of non competitive keywords looking at the domain on SEM RUSH. This has dropped drastically over the last 2 years. Our organic traffic over the last 2-3 years has seen no 'falling off a cliff' and has maintained a similar pattern. I've been told so many lies by SEO companies trying to get into my wallet I'm not sure who to believe. We have started to add content onto all our Category pages to make more unique although most of our Meta Descriptions are a 'boiler plate' template. I'm wondering.... Am I still suffering from Penquin ? Am I trapped by Panda and if so how can I know that? Do I need more links removed? How can I start to rank for more keywords I have a competitor online with the same DA, PA and virtually same number of links but they rank for 3500 keywords in the top 20. Would welcome any feedback. Many Thanks.

Adding videos to a website
Hello! We are producing multiple videos (each about 1-minute long) for a company website. We have decided to use Wistia to host them, in order get the full SEO benefits of links to the videos. I have two questions: 1. Would it definitely be better for SEO to divide up the videos and place them on the various existing pages of the site that are related to the video content, rather than putting all the videos together on a separate video page? 2. If we do put different videos on different pages, would it be a bad idea also to have a video page with all the videos together? Would this be considered duplicate content? Thank you very much!

Are links to our website through our affiliate program hurting our rankings?
We have an affiliate program for an educational related course product and I am becoming worried that links to us on our affiliate's websites are hurting our site rankings. I have read that google is usually pretty good about picking up on affiliate links and not giving the follow links credit, but not sure if that is just for the big affiliate networks or if they can spot less obvious affiliate programs. With this in mind, would you ask all affiliates to use the nofollow tag on all links coming in, or would you make sure that the links are more branded in nature? There are a mix of text links along with banners and other display components. There would be editing that would need to be done to the core files of our affiliate/member software (aMember Pro) to make all links nofollow and we want to see if there are other recommendations before doing so. We are trying to fight out way out of what we believe is an over-optimized anchor text penalty and are evaluating all areas that we can make improvements. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I get warnings for overly dynamic urls, but have canonical links in place.
Hi, Seomoz gives me warnings for overly dynamic urls. This is mostly caused by a crumbtrail system. I have a canonical link in the header for all the urls I receive warnings on, should I still worry about this? Thanks!

Are Navigation links different to static links
We are trying to reduce the number of links on our homepage. We could remove some fly out navigation links, We rank 1st on Google for some of these links. Would removing these hurt our SEO. The links are accessible 1 level down if we remove the homepage.

Removing Canonical Links
We implemented rel=canonical as we decided to paginate our pages. We then ran some testing and on the whole pagination did not work out so we removed all on-page pagination. Now, internally when I click for example a link for Widgets I get the /widgets.php but searching through Google I get to /widgets.php?page=all . There are not redirects in place at the moment. The '?page=all' page has been rated 'A' by the SEOmoz tool under On Page Optimization reports and performs much better than the exact same page without the '?page=all' (the score dips to a 'D' grade) so need to tread carefully so we don't lose the link value. Can anyone advise us on the best way forward? Thanks in advance.
