Adwords Express Vs Adwords for small business

Hi there
I specialise in helping Local businesses with their online visibility through SEO. More recently I have been thinking about delving into Google AdWords so i can offer an additional service to my small business owner but was wondering what the best approach would be.
Should I use Google AdWords express or just Google AdWords? Should I set up individual accounts for each of my clients so they are somehow "portable" or should they all sit under the same master account?As you can see my knowledge is somehow limited and any help would be welcome. If you can point me in some easy to follow tutorial directly aimed at PPC for small businesses that would be awesome.

My thoughts...
I wouldn't touch Adwords at alluntil you thoroughly understand the various match types, for both positive and negative keywords (they do differ in their impact somewhat). And also how Quality Scores impacts Ad Rank. Ad words can be a real killer if left too broad.
I highly recommend this tutorial. It will teach you everything you need to know about Adwords.
P.S) I think it's a great idea to offer as an additional service to your SEO work. They can work hand in hand nicely.

Hi Neil,
I think complementing your local seo business for your clients with adwords makes a lot of sense. Since both have there strengths and weaknesses you can maximize the results for you clients while gaining a lot of insights.
Google Adwords express is mainly for small business owners that don´t have the time neither the knowledge to use Google Adwords. You have a lot less control in the former, especially the lack of control over the keywords, and most is automated. This doesn´t give you enough control to effectively manage these campaigns for your clients and add value for them. If you should have them all in one account or each one have there own depends on various factors, like:
- Payment - Will each client pay directly to google, in this case you need to create a different account for each
- Recourses - If you want to spend as little time as possible maintaining the accounts this would be much easier in one account with all your clients
- Portability - Do your clients value the fact there account is portable?
- Quality - If you have all clients in one account they all contribute to the overal accounts quality score (positively or negatively) this might not get you the best performance for each client

Does anyone know if we have to have a paid addwords campain for our products to appear in google shopping. We have a feed set up for google shopping. We have addwords campaigns running for google. But our products do not seem to appear in google shopping. Any advise on how to get them there?

Adwords structure issue
Background: We manufacture and sell our own products to the UK and English speaking world. We rank well for major terms but there is lots more traffic to be had with PPC so we've always used Adwords At present I target keywords in 3 ways. 1. I have an [exact match] campaign that I use to target terms like [acme widget] 2. I have a broad match campaign that I use to target keyword targets I have identified through research like +blue +acme +widget. 3. I have an even broader campaign that I use to target the very long tail terms that it would be too time consuming to create groups and ads for like +camo +rocket +acme +widget The problem: My 3rd category won't show! I use varied bids to make sure the more relevant ads show where they overlap (eg 2nd campaign bid is 50% of 1st campaign, 3rd campaign bid is 50% of 2nd) but 3rd campaign wont show for long tail searches when I test it with the random crap that people search for! I get the error message... Your ad isn't being displayed for this keyword because there may be other ads within your account that are ranked higher and have similar keywords. 2 questions I suppose, is my structure acceptable and if it should work why isn't it?! I have a bunch of $300 free adwords spend coupons (must spend $100 & only new accounts) . If any body wants to become more of a t-marketer and play with ppc , Just comment in the post. I would also love to hear how people are using t-marketing to enhance seo.

Changing Adwords campaign titles still mess up Analytics data?
Recently, Google announced an update in de Google Analytics Adwords integration that should wield out the ancient trouble caused by changing your campaign titles in Adwords. http://analytics.blogspot.nl/2013/07/new-adwords-integration-platform.html?utm_source=buffer&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Buffer&utm_content=buffer6bfb4 Two months have passed, but I still see double entries for the same campaign after a (minor) title change. Adwords keyword vs exact match kw
Hi guys, I have been using an excellent script that showed me the keywords I was bidding on and the keywords they were matched on by Adwords. I was using the following script: http://www.getelastic.com/exact-keywords-google-analytics/ But I'm under the impression Google changed the way these data can be matched. I now have multiple questions: Does anyone have another script that gives me the same results? Has anyone seen an announcement on why Google has changed this? Keyword domains for AdWords - duplicate content an issue
Hi guys, A client of mine has bought a raft of keyword domains for use in an AdWords campaign. This isn't my area of expertise, hence the question. They have a hosting account which can host an unlimited number of domains. Can they set up the domains with the same content on each site and then use AdWords to drive traffic to the sites? I've suggested they can use rel="canonical" to specify that the preferred site is the main site of the company which should bypass the duplicate content issue. Is this the best way to host the sites or is there a better alternative? Thanks in advance, Brendan.
