Hi Healthmate
Google will choose whichever page has the content that matches user intent most closely in relation to the key phrase or word typed into search.
So if a user searches 'How much is Aspirin online?' and one page answers that perfectly then that page will show higher.
If the user searches 'Aspirin' and both pages mention the word you will be in Neverland - in the far lower reaches of Google.
The best thing is not to produce any duplicate content - if you do then rel=canonical to the best version of the page.

Nigel

Hi Nigel,
Thank for answering. I am still confusing that if everything are same, how's Google choose which version is the best experience for uses? Thank you very much!

Hi Halthmateforever
As long as the new URLB has unique and new content that is separate from URLA then yes there is no problem. If URLB has the same or very similar content to URLA then you will have a problem and will create a duplicate content which will force Google to choose which version is the best experience for the user.

Nigel

Should I keep a website which is outdated or close it down? It has a few links. If I keep it can I redirect people to our newer site?
We are in the process of buying some intellectual property, and it's websites are very dated and only have around 5 external links each. What's the best course of action? Do we close down the sites; then redirect the urls to our current website, or do we leave the sites up, but redirect people to our new site. Reference: current website: www.psychometrics.com Old sites that come with the intellectual property: http://www.eri.com/ plus http://www.hrpq.com/ Thanks, Dan Costigan

Making one landing page rank higher than another
I have a website which uses an individual landing pages to greet traffic for each suburb in our service area. For a long time we had one landing page which covered a region of suburbs but we've since added individual pages for those suburbs as well. However, Google will always display results for the old regional page, even though the new pages are optimized for searches in that area. Is there anything I can do to get Google to display the pages I want?

Does mozbot also check whether its a flash or frames website?
Dear Seomoz expert, I have signed up for a free trial account for SEOmoz Pro. Im testing available SEO software to see which one is gonna make me work more efficient for my clients. Right now im doing technical analysis by hand which costs alot of time but gives me the ability to deliver high quality advices. One of the things i always thorougly check is the way a website is structured (code). I see a lot of relevant criteria for crawl analysis but dont see flash or frames. This is kind of important because on a full flash website there is no content for the Google spider to crawl. Frames can also cause issues looking at internal linking structure and all. How is this integrated in SEOmoz Pro? Greets, S.
