Enhanced Campaigns: Can you disable the call extension from desktop/laptop ads and only show it for mobile ads?
-
I "upgraded" one of my campaigns to Enhanced Campaigns. Now my text ads appears with a phone number to the right of the Headline.
Can I turn this off for desktop and laptops and only show our phone number / click to call button on mobile devices?
That's how I had it set up before. Now it seems like Enhanced Campaigns is forcing the phone number in your text ads across all devices.
Thanks.

I think you can try, but it may still happen sometimes. Here's what Google instructs for how to focus on mobile only extensions.
You can change how an existing sitelink or call extension works on mobile. Here's how to customize an existing extension for mobile devices:
-
- Choose the enhanced campaign that has the extension you'd like to edit.
- Click the Ad extensions tab.
- On the View drop-down menu, choose the type of extension you'd like to edit.
- From the drop-down menu next to View, choose Upgraded.
- Go to the [Extension] settings section and click Edit.
- You'll see a list of all the extensions in this campaign.
- Hover your mouse cursor over the extension you want to customize. Click the down arrow that appears next to the pencil icon and choose Copy and edit. This creates a copy of the extension.
- In the form that appears, choose Mobile next to device preference.
- Change the extension, as needed, to optimize for mobile.
- Click Save.
Note
- Mobile-optimized extensions (extensions for which the Device preference have been set to Mobile) will be given preference over standard extensions of the same type (such as sitelinks or apps) on mobile devices.
- Standard extensions will be given preference over mobile-optimized extensions of the same type on desktop and laptop computers.
- If a campaign or ad group has only mobile-optimized extensions, these may show on desktop and laptop computers. To avoid this, we recommend having standard extensions of the same type as the mobile-optimized extensions in your campaign.

"Duplicate without user-selected canonical” - impact to Google Ads costs
Hello, we are facing some issues on our project and we would like to get some advice. Scenario
Paid Search Marketing | | Alex_Pisa
We run several websites (www.brandName.com, www.brandName.be, www.brandName.ch, etc..) all in French language . All sites have nearly the same content & structure, only minor text (some headings and phone numbers due to different countries are different). There are many good quality pages, but again they are the same over all domains. Current solution
Currently we don’t use canonicals, instead we use rel="alternate" hreflang="x-default": <link rel="alternate" hreflang="fr-BE" href="https://www.brandName.be/" /> <link rel="alternate" hreflang="fr-CA" href="https://www.brandName.ca/" /> <link rel="alternate" hreflang="fr-CH" href="https://www.brandName.ch/" /> <link rel="alternate" hreflang="fr-FR" href="https://www.brandName.fr/" /> <link rel="alternate" hreflang="fr-LU" href="https://www.brandName.lu/" /> <link rel="alternate" hreflang="x-default" href="https://www.brandName.com/" /> Naturally this si reflected in ""Duplicate without user-selected canonical” . Issue
We create the same ad in Google Ads for 2 domains. So the content is mostly identical, ads are identical, target URLs differ only in domain. Yet Google Ads “Quality score” is different (10/10 vs. 6/10) and “Landing page experience” is very different (Above average vs. Average). Some members of our team think lower “Landing page experience” increases the Google Ads costs, which I personally don't believe, but I want to double check. Question: Can “Duplicate without user-selected canonical” issue decrease the “Landing page experience” rating and as result can it cause higher Google ads costs? Any suggestions/ideas appreciated, thanks. Regards.0 -
Can Adwords Increase Organic Traffic?
Hello, A friend of mine has noticed an increase in organic traffic since they started using AdWords. Has anyone had similar results or could this be coincidence? Thanks in advance!

Google Product Ads
Hi,
Paid Search Marketing | | ChrisHolgate
I was wondering if I could ask is perhaps someone could give me some clarification as to how the amount we bid on Google Product Ads reflects the product positioning on Google Shopping? We have a Google Product Data Feed which is then linked up to our Adwords account so that we can determine a PPC bid amount. In instances like this it doesn't seem to make sense that one person may be paying 10ppc and another 20ppc when the buyers criteria for sorting merchants was purely down to the price. Since the buyer has the option to sort their products in price from minimum to maximum the sort order cannot be manipulated by Google based on the amount the merchant was paying. As such, how is determining a cost per click figure relevant when the customer is searching by base price low > high on Google Shopping? Surely I should just set the limit to £0.01 and rely on the customer determining the sort order (which ultimately will lead to a higher conversion rate) than allowing Google to skew the results based on bidding 20-30 times this amount? I should state that I'm in the UK. I do realise that a high PPC amount will increase our chance of exposure on standard search pages but my question does relate solely to results listed on Google Shopping. Thanks for your help! Can you market to someone 30 days AFTER they visit your site via PPC?
Hi all, I'm looking to market to visitors 30 days AFTER they have been to a website. Their is a coupon this business wants to run every 30 days to its' repeat customers (and if they purchase again); thus, 30 days more will resume. I'm aware that your remarketing list can capture audiences from 30, 60, and 90 days past. I'm talking about future display ads running 30 days after visitor has cookies enabled. Thanks for your help! PPC Campaign Setup Fee - Fair?
We already do our PPC campaigns with an agency and we're looking to create another campaign. They told us that the amount of traffic around our campaign would allow for about $2-3k spend per month, possibly with some additional funds placed into display ads. For this campaign, they have proposed a setup fee of $2k and an increased management fee of $750 -- is this a reasonable price?
