Topics and H tag
-
Hello,
Is it ok to talk about multiple topics under an H tag or should I stick to 1 topic per H tag.
Thank you,
-
The more niche, the better results...IMO. If you want to get ranked well on 3 different topics, build 3 different pages.
You would only want (1) H1 tag per page, and multiple H2-H6 tags per page.

Ok, Thank you,
-
Hi,
I and many SEOs still prefer one
tag per page but you can use it more if it makes sense.
Thanks
-
In general, I would say you should stick to one topic per heading, and utilize sub-headings for sub-topics.
For instance, a page title of "animals" might be an H1 heading. Beneath that H1, you might speak to different animal classes like "mammals" and "reptiles" under H2 headings. And beneath those H3 headings, you could talk about specific animals under H4 headings.
Having said that, based on quotes and tweets and Q&A sessions with Google staff and other experts that have floated around over the years, I wouldn't place too much weight on how you structure your headings, just as long as you're making your content as easy as possible for users to consume.

DeepCrawl Calls Incomplete Open Graph Tags and Missing Twitter Cards An Issue. How important is this?
Hi, Let me first say that I really like the tool DeepCrawl. So, not busting on them. More like I'm interested in the relative importance of two items they call as "Issues." Those items are "Incomplete Open Graph Tags" and "No Valid Twitter Cards." They call this out on every page. To define it a bit further, I'm interested in the importance as it relates to organic search.I'm also interested in there's some basic functionality we may have missed in our Share42 implementation. To me, it looks like the social sharing buttons work. Also, we use Share42 social sharing buttons, which are quite functional. If it would help, I could private message you an example url. Thanks! Best... Mike

Google Web Master Tools: Duplicate Title Tags?
According to Google Web Master Tools it says my site has 910 Duplicate Title Tags. How verbose should title tags be? What's the maximum character length? For example, let's say I have an image of an iPhone 4S being held in someone's hand. How verbose of a title and how many characters am I allowed to have? Is the goal with title tags to be very specific in describing the image? In the above example, do I need to say something like: "iPhone 4S being held by white caucasian male" or will "iPhone 4S" suffice?

Always include the targeted keyword in the alt tag?
Studies show that using the targeted keyword in the alt tag helps to rank better for a keyword. But what if the keyword doesn't exactly describe the image, would you still use it in the alt tag? For example, say you have an image of the brain, but the article is about cognitive behavioral therapy -- an accurate description would say 'human brain' but an SEO alt tag may say 'cognitive behavioral therapy'--which would you use?

Here are my target keywords: CMMS, CMMS Software, EAM Software, Maintenance Management Software Do you think using exact keywords terms are most effective? For example: Title tag: CMMS, CMMS Software, EAM Software, Maintenance Management Software Or: Title tag: CMMS Software, EAM Maintenance Management Software Same goes for keyword use for content and H1 tags. Your thoughts? Thanks, John
