I am looking for a software to keep track of the back links or link building
-
Hi Guys,
I am very new hear. I just joined. I have a few websites that I need to manage. I am looking for a software that will allow me to manually add the links that I have been able to acquire. It would also be a bonus if it could search for the links to my site and to see if its still active. Because I have a freelancer working a few hours a week on link building and I need to keep track of the links. I am looking for something simple and good. Any suggestions?
By the way, I used Raven Tools many years ago, and it had this feature. But since joining Moz, I don't want to be paying for 2 subscriptions. And I don't know if Raven still has this feature.
Your suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
Ryan

You could just use excel and/or google sheets to keep track of your indexed and not indexed urls. It's not very elegant but should work. Here a useful article on the topic.

Hi GR,
Thank you so much, this helps a lot.

Ryan, in the Backlink Audit, there is a button Add backlinks, there you add your links created and/or not found by SEMrush.
This image might help: https://imgur.com/a/zZQvzHope it helps.

Hi GR,
I have come across and used SEM Rush briefly a number of years ago. However, I don't remember SEM Rush having a feature that would allow me to manually add a new link I just acquired from a blog or a friends website as an example. Does it do this?
Thanks.

Hello Ryan!
From the tools that I know, use and/or used, what you are looking for is what SEMrush offers, its backlinks crawler is not the best, but can be hugely improved by adding a Majestic account.
Before you decide for SEMrush, be sure to watch all their videos and tutorials, its a really complete suite and it may help you in other projects. Take a look here: Kwnoledge Base - SEMrushFor backlinks discovery, the top 3 tools are ( IMO, in this order): ahrefs, majestic, Moz OpenSite Explorer.
Hope it helps.
Best Luck.
GR

Looking for Resources for Broken backlink Building With My Team
I've been doing some reading on broken backlink building but have not had much success with implementing a fine tuned process with my team. I've already read the moz post about broken backlink building. I've also used the www.brokenlinkbuilding.com tool by citation labs but found it to be kind of clunky. Could have just been me though : ). Any helpful resources would be appreciated to automate the process better?

Is tiered link building a good thing?
I think that I have watched all the webinairs and online courses available on the web, but I still don't seem to know how and where to get links from. I know what type of links I should be getting and what type I should be avoiding, but that little luck so far. I came across the website of Matthew Woodward about tiered link building where he explains how to do this type of link building in depth. It seems quite interesting but also a lot of work so I don't want to invest my precious time in something that will be penalised by Google in the near future. Is there anyone that can give me some reason why I should or shouldn't do this?

Guidelines for keyword-targeting and link building?
Hello, Every month, I set a goal of targeting 10 - 15 relevant keywords for my website. I then attempt to boost my site's rankings for these terms through a combination of content writing and white hat, non-paid link building. My question is: Are there general guidelines for keyword-targeting and backlinks? Is it healthy to target 10 - 15 different keywords (or more??) like this per month?

Which link building method is most effective?
I have been looking at different seo companies for link building. I found a ranked list on Topseos.com. Many of them offer the same services as offshore SEOs, namely: Article marketing blog comments forum comments/profiles bookmarking PR directories Link acquisition by contacting relevants sites and negotiating a fee for a link I know that custom link acquisition is the most effective, but it gets very expensive. And, you don't know what each link is going to cost you. Here are my questions: Of the other methods (other thank custom link acquisition), how would you rank their effectiveness? The other methods seem kinda gimmicky, is it worth the time/money? Have you seen sites rank well for competitve keywords using articles/bookmarking/blog comments/directories etc? How do you know i a company is going to them manually as they claim? as opposed to using some automated software. Thanks

Link building by inviting bloggers
Hi everyone, I'm relatively new to SEO, and I have a question on a link building strategy for a holiday resort I am working on. The resort has a paintball arena and zorbing facilities at their premises. I want to use this in the link building strategy and the owners have agreed to have an open day for bloggers. Basically the resort will invite 20 local bloggers for a day to their resort. They get to play paintball, zorbing and get to see the resort in exchange for an honest write up about their day at the resort. I am looking at asking the bloggers to write about the event twice (Once before, and once after they visit the resort) with a minimum of 4 links to the website. I want to know how I can identify the top bloggers? What factors should I consider while making a list of 20 bloggers, and how do I measure these factors? Also, is this a good strategy for link building? And please feel free to add anything else you think I am missing out on, or will help in the link building. Cheers! Arjun

Clarification needed regarding link building
We are working on a SEO project for a client with a bilingual site. We have already started with the link building task for the English domain. However, for the Arabic domain the URLs for the inner pages are not yet finalized and it would take around 2 months to do so. I would like to know whether we could start with link building for the main Arabic domain although the inner pages URLs are not yet finalized?

Link building software
Does anyone know of any software that will build links if I enter the URL in? I know this sounds silly but I had to ask... I know ontolo is good to discover which links you need based on a key word and I know the SEOmoz tools do the same. My question is that is there any software that you can then enter all the links you have found and acquire them, Thank you for your answers. I really appreciate it. Vijay
