Is a short URL path stronger than a long one for an eshop?

I'm building an eshop website and reviewing a few competitors website I found something interesting on which I don't have the full answer.

Will it be better for me to organize the products in sub folder or in the root folder (option 1 or option 2)

_Competitor link _shop.com/en/2628-buy-key-origin-the-sims-4-seasons/

Option 1 - Normal organization

_+ _We can add relevant KW in /products/
- product url will be one folder deep more
- home/
- home/category/ (category page)
- home/category/subcategory1
- home/category/subcategory2
- home/products (this page does not exist really)
- home/products/product1
- home/products/product2
Option 2 - less folders

_+ _We can add all KW in the link directly
- it may be less organize for Google
- home/
- home/category/ (category page)
- home/category/subcategory1
- home/category/subcategory2
- home/product1 (all product in the direct folders)
- home/product2

For product URLs I would go with the "flat" structure and just do shop.com/product-name (Option 2)

Should I make a new URL just so it can include a target keyword, then 301 redirect the old URL?

This is for an ecommerce site, and the company I'm working with has started selling a new line of products they want to promote.Should I make a new URL just so it can include a target keyword, then 301 redirect the old URL? One of my concerns is losing a little bit of link value from redirecting. Thank you for reading!

More than one web domain

Hi What is best when considering using more than one domain on a website, what the best policy ? it's a question I get asked a lot, usually because prior to any seo efforts the main domain name purchased is not keyword rich or an abbreviated company name etc. what impact do new domains have on SEO compared to older existing domains- is it worth changing a generic company named domain for a keyword rich domain? if having multiple domains pointing to the site is beneficial how best is it to configure? How do i inform Google? How do both domains get index when there is only one physical site? How should i monitor it, Analytic s, SEO moz? Will the domain compete against each other and effect SEO rank? Are they best used for marketing purposes on external sites, adverts driving traffic to the main site. I'm aware there are lots of questions above, any answers/ opinions , links to further info would be greatly appreciated. cheers

3 URLS Being Created All For The Same Page

I use wordpress for my blog and for some reason it is creating triple urls for my pages. I am not sure it has always been like this or not. I just noticed it in the errors section of SEO Moz. http://www.kisswedding.com/blog/?gid=7&r=20 http://www.kisswedding.com/blog/ashley-and-daniels-rainy-day-diy-farm-wedding/?gid=7&r=20 http://www.kisswedding.com/blog/ashley-and-daniels-rainy-day-diy-farm-wedding/ It's all the exact same page. Is there something I can do in my settings to make this stop. I don't imagine this is good. Ya think....ha! I saw this is the SEO Moz error area for Missing Title Tags. Apparently the number has gone from 200 to 400 which is weird because I never gave my blog posts meta stuff and I haven't written 200 pages since SEO Moz's last crawl.
Maybe I changed something on my blog settings without even knowing. I can't think for the life of me what that would be though. Thanks so much and I appreciate any help received. Edited to add: I added some plugins over the past week. Maybe it's one of these? Why is the ideal rel canonical URL structure?

I currently have the rel canonical point to wepay.com/donations/123456. Is it worth the effort making it point to wepay.com/donations/donation-name-123456? I would also need to track histories if users change the vanity URL with this new structure.

How do I fix these duplicate URLs?

HI guys, I ran a report on my site and it shows some duplicate titles (example below). Do I need to add something to the htaccess file or another file to fix this? Handling '?' in URLs.

Adios! (or something), I've noticed in my SEOMoz campaign that I am getting duplicate content warnings for URLs with extensions. For example: /login.php?action=lostpassword /login.php?action=register etc. What is the best way to deal with these type of URLs to avoid duplicate content penelties in search engines? Thanks 🙂

Slashes In Url's

If your cms has created two urls for the same piece of content that look like the following, www.domianname.com/stores and www.domianname.com/stores/, will this be seen as duplicate content by google? Your tools seem to pick it up as errors. Does one of the urls need 301 to the other to clear this up, or is it not a major problem? Thanks.
