Where to Place Quality Content in Order to Create Links?

Assuming we have retained a an award winning journalist to write articles/blog posts about our business. Assuming the content is useful and engaging. Where would be the best place to publish it to create high quality backlinks?
1. Our website blog
2. Social media sites like our LinkedIn or Facebook pages.
3. Sending completed articles to websites that might potentially have an interest in publishing them.
4. Publishing the articles on our website and then promoting them with Adwords and Facebook to demographics that would find them interesting and link to them.
5. Combination of publishing an article on our website and posting a related article on social media and linking it back to the original article on our website.
6. Place a custom written article of extremely high quality on affiliate website run by the HOTH or a competitor. But before publishing check the affiliate website on AHREFS and Link Research Tools to ensure that the metrics are not at all spammy (decent domain rating).Which of the above options (or combination of) would most likely result in backlinks of good quality? Assume the quality of the writing is excellent.
If pitching the content to other websites (#3) would work, how would we identify these websites?

A lot of people think... "If I do this"... or..."If I do that"... then success will happen.
That just isn't true.
It is not "what" you do that matters. Instead, it is "how you do it" and "how well you do it."
For your project, doing the job well requires more than "excellent writing". You need valuable information, presented clearly, for a specific audience. For that you need a person who is first knowledgeable about a topic and then a person who is an excellent writer. Those might be one person or two persons or an entire committee.
Then the document that was created needs to be seen by the linkeratti. Linkeratti are people who will be excited enough about your document that they will link to it. The linkeratti might be might be visitors to your website and consumers of the information on your document. Or, they might be a different group of individuals. They might be people who curate helpful information about your industry, or people who who advocate for your potential clients, or publishers who have an audience of people who might appreciate your article and have ways of spreading the word about it.
Start by knowing where your links might come from and develop a plan of reaching those people. Then create an article that will resonate with them and that they will be excited about sharing. The article must then be on a website that these people will be excited about linking to, not on a sleepy website or a crappy little blog. The don't want to send their visitors to such places.
The ideal case is to have the links go straight to your website. If you want that to happen, then get started now to make your website a place that these people will be happy to recommend to their visitors, because they are not going to link there unless it is awesome.
So, make your website a 10x place that is full of excellent, valuable and helpful information that people interested in the products or services that you provide can find troves of information. When you have that, you will not need to try to engineer links. They will come to you, given by your own audience.
One article probably isn't going to be magical, because the linkeratti are not going to link to one kernel in a pile of crap. They will link to you when you have a website full of awesome resources. Build that and your worries are over. So, instead of spending a lot of money on articles that you are going to spread across the web like free popcorn. Plan the library of 10x resources that will make your website the place to go for your potential clients.
This isn't going to happen in a month or probably not even in a year or two. But you have been working on your website for a long time. If you think you are going to be in this business for a few years, get to work on making your website the information hub for your industry.

4-5 New High Quality Links/Month, Enough to Increase Domain Authority?
The link profile on our domain is poor and our domain authority is only 18. In April we migrated domains and our domain authority tumbled from 24 to 8 and as of August had recovered to 18. Since August we have engaged in a link building campaign. We are getting 4-5 new links per month. They are good quality. Can we expect to see see an increase in our domain authority? If so, when? How to stop internal Dynamically created links that generate 404s
Hi I have question weather to block in Robots.txt or through No followed tags. Links that are part of a Dynamic Tab control that generates the tabs based on CMS content. These are internal links on the page which show content within a tab control. Would it stop these errors appearing in the Google report if we added a rel="nofollow" tag to the <a>tag, for example:</a> <a></a> <a></a>VIEW FROM SEATS? Is it better to use No followed tags or block it in Robots.txt? Thanks Cee

Should we optimise our internal links?
Hi again, We recently had a technical search audit done by a specialist agency and they discovered a number of internal links that caused redirects to happen. The agency has recommended we update all of these links to link directly to the destination so we don't lose out on link equity. We'd just like to know if you think this would be a worthwhile use of our time. Our web team seem to think that returning a 301 to a crawler means that the crawler will stop indexing the original URL and instead index the redirected destination? Thanks all. Clair

Links Questions and advice?
I have a website which has a fair few link assets that are doing very well (a lot of really powerful sites have link to them with follow links) but my commercial pages are not doing as well as a lot of sites without any other investment than (mediocre) links direct to there commercial pages with at least 10% of them carrying the money anchor text. Even pages we have had a few links for with generalized real anchor text and reasonable links do not do as well as the above due to none of them carrying the money keyword? Is it me or does google still rely on links to the commercial page and keywords with anchor text to match the money term?

Do links to a domain that re-directs to my domain pass link equity?
Hi guys. We've recently taken control of a third-party site and we're going to set up a domain re-direct so any traffic comes to our site. With any existing links that the third-party site has, will these pass link equity to our main site through the redirect? Thanks, Paul

Duplicate Content Issues :(
I am wondering how we can solve our duplicate content issues. Here is the thing: There are so many ways you can write a description about a used watch. http://beckertime.com/product/mens-rolex-air-king-no-date-stainless-steel-watch-wsilver-dial-5500/ http://beckertime.com/product/mens-rolex-air-king-stainless-steel-date-watch-wblue-dial-5500/ Whats different between these two? The dial color. We have a lot of the same model numbers but with different conditions, dial colors, and bands.. What ideas do you have?

Automated Quality Content Acceptable Even Though Looks Similar Across Pages
I have some advanced statistics modules implemented on my website, which is very high level added value for users. However, wording is similar across 1000+ pages, with difference being the statistical findings.

Page Ex: 2: http://www.honoluluhi5.com/oahu/honolulu/metro/waikiki-condos/ As you can see same wording is used "Median Sales Price per Year", "$ Volume of Active Listings" etc etc....difference being the findings / results are obviously different. Questions: are search engines smart enough to realize the quality in this or do they see similar wording across 1000+ pages and p-otentially consider the pages low-quality content, because search engines are unable to identify the high level added value and complexity in pulling such quality data? If that may be the case, does that mean I ought to make the pages more "unique" by including a little piece of writing about each page to make them look more unique, even though it is not of value to users?0 -
