Search Console Click Through Results
-
Hi Moz Community,
I've newly started using Google's search console on a regular basis, and I have a query about the results coming from the platform.
For example, I added this article URL to the console with field "URL containing" and "URL exact", and the results showed 71 clicks and 436 impressions over 12 months.
However, when looking at the queries that show in the results to see where the clicks are coming from, all of them state there's no clicks from the dozen or so queries that show.
Am I doing something wrong here? Is there a field I need to fill in to show more results/top results? I've tested a few article URL's and the same has happened.
Thanks in advance for any help.

No problem, thanks a lot for your advice and if I get an answer I'll be sure to post back on here for you!

That is actually really, really weird! I am sorry that I don't have an answer for you. What would be really cool, would be if you posted the Search Console bug on Google's Webmaster Central help forum. A Google rep or someone from the wider community may reply. If someone from their side does crack it, I'd be interested to hear the update here on Moz's forums

Thanks for your response.
Following what you’ve said, we can see the results of clickthroughs and impressions to our web page, stating there are 71 clickthroughs. Screenshot - https://imgur.com/BJHeyYp
However, when we review the queries section for the same page, it states there are no clickthroughs for any of the queries showing. Screenshot – https://imgur.com/YKJbaut (8 of 8 queries shown).
This seems odd to me, and my question is where can we see the queries that resulted in the clickthroughs to this page, if they’re not showing here?

1.) Select a web property in Google Search Console (remember that 'www' usage, protocol and HTTP vs HTTPS usage all render as different web properties in Search Console)

2.) Don't go into "Search Analytics", go into Google's new "Performance" report instead
- https://d.pr/i/PGwX48.png (screenshot)
3.) Click to browse pages, apply a filter here if it is your desire to do so (but it is not required, this can all be done with the mouse only). Once you find the page you want, click on it

4.) Once the page you want to look at has been 'clicked' and only that page is visible, go back to query data

5.) Check out the query data, which is related only to your chosen page

And that's that!

Google stopped showing time frame for the cached results of the websites; Why? Any alternatives?
Hi Moz community If we Google "site:website.com"; it'll list the cached pages from the website. And we used to check them on required date range like how and which pages got indexed. But date range is not working now and the results are missing the pages which got indexed at the selected date range. Any idea why Google does this? Any alternatives to find the recently indexed pages? Thanks

Search Visibilty Score dropped by 50%!
Howdy MOZ community, I have been practicing all the "right" techniques on my website, The website in question was doing pretty well ranking among top 5 on SERP's for over 30 keywords, bounce rate of 65% which has been steady since last year, Since 2 weeks ago I have noticed a MAJOR DROP on more than 80% of my rankings, The website in question has also lost 50% in search visibility score, I have checked my Google webmaster tools and there are no alerts regarding bad links ETC, What could be the reason? I hope I can get this sorted out before my employees quit on me because we have lost business by 70%. Please help!

Changing the # of results per page in Google search settings displays totally different results. Why is this?
Curious what's going on here. This is the first time I've seen this before. What's happening is this ... In Google, I search for "mobile apps orange county" and get a standard list of 10 results. I go to Google's search settings in the top right corner of the page (button is grey with a gear) to change the number of results per page from 10 to 50 (also did 100). When I go back to Google and search again for "mobile apps orange county" I get a much larger list but with completely different results. This time around the top 10-12 are dominated by the same website (ocregister.com) What's going on here that Google would now show different results? Why is this one website all of a sudden dominating the first 12 results? Thanks everyone! ByteLaunch

Related Searches in Google
Hello, We're helping a client remove/minimize some negative information about their brand in Google's search results. Just curious about your take on if the related searches that appear at the bottom of Google search results can in any way be influenced or if it is more a combination of so many factors that any one person or organization wouldn't be able to change very easily? I've heard the related results could be influenced if enough queries generated overtake the "negative" queries done initially but I feel like that is venturing into black hat land a bit. thanks -Mike

Retail Searching Patterns
Does anyone have empirical data regarding the pattern in which a consumer shops for an item? I would like to find some information regarding whether consumers search for a product first then find a place that sells it or the opposite. I tend to see the organic SEO net focusing more upon company name visibility and not, say for example, the top ten products they sell. It is not always the case but I see with bigger and bigger companies that they seem to rely more heavily upon company name recognition. Any thoughts?
