My backlinks are not showing

I have been building lots of backlinks to my website but when I decided to check them I saw just two.
Please am I doing something wrong?

Hey there!
Don't get too hung up on backlinks appearing (or not) there can be a few reasons for this. Don't forget crawling the web takes a lot of power and Roger can only get so far and so often, Google has a bit more power to get further so it's likely to find links more often and faster than other crawlers. Do they might be there and not visible on a tool.
Secondly, if the value of a backlink is there e.g. the value to a user that is the complete purpose of a backlink more so than anything else. Keep on working and you might find them come up over time, you can always look in Search engine console and you might discover them in there too!
The link you gave unfortunately 404s so as long as all your links are working I'm sure it will be a ok, you can always keep a list somewhere of them to manually check. it can take weeks depending on the DA/PA of the site.
Hope some of that puts your mind at ease and keep on creating links and you'll get there before you know it
edit I'd also ensure you've ticked all boxes on your site, check if its https

Should my backlinks point to my home page or to internal article pages?
Hi, I run a fitness blog and I get the majority of my backlinks through guest posts that I write on high quality sites. Sometimes they allow me to put a backlink within the article, and I'll link it to a relevant article of mine. However, in the "author bio" section my backlink anchor text is usually just my brand name. I was wondering if this backlink should point towards my home page or is it more beneficial to point it towards an important article of mine? Thanks

Redirecting broken backlink to my site
Hello guys, I found an expired domain with inbound links from 41 different root domains, almost all of them from relevant sources. I have 2 ideas in my mind: A) I am thinking about buying this expired domain and place a 301 redirect to a post in my blog who talks about a similar subject.Relevance: let's say the content of the expired domain is about "horses wallpapers" and the content of my site is about "horse transport". Not the same, but a post in my blog could talk about "top 10 horse wallpapers". Do you see what I mean? B) Contact all the webmasters with broken links, alert them and expect they are nice and place a nice link to the post in my blog talking about "top 10 horse wallpapers". What do you think? Backlink lag time or not indexed?
I've looked through a few questions relating to backlinks not showing up in Open Site Explorer and I've got the same problem. I want to understand whether my backlinks aren't showing in SEOmoz due to a lag time (some say 5 - 8weeks) or because google hasn't indexed them.

Does the complete url count as backlink?
Hi there, does the http://mysite.com count as a backlink if posted on a site? I post a press releae and the site only allows me to put urls like this. they get something or must be in anchor the url? Thanks
