Unsolved Why Did My Site's DA Go Down After Adding New Links?

Hi Moz Community,
I've noticed my website's DA https://clean4u.org fell from 12 to 11 after adding a few links. I thought these were quality links, so I'm puzzled about the drop.
Has anyone experienced something similar or knows why this could happen? Any advice or insight would be great!

@Arek_W I am working on a travel website and faced the same issue. Yesterday I created two company profiles on related and authoritative sources but my website DA Falls from 15 to 13. Unable to understand the reason.

I've noticed that after incorporating new links into my website "gofirepit", there seems to be a decline in its performance or traffic. I'm curious about the potential reasons behind this occurrence and would appreciate insights or suggestions from the community.

Hi, it could be that the links are not that high-quality, some could be spammy links, so use various SEO backlink tools, moz we like the most, but also check on Majestic SEO, i think they allow you to run a free check, just check to see if those links are quality or not. if they are not? then talk to a SEO consultant, sometimes you can just pay for an hours worth of advice, and they can advise you on what to do. hope that helps? If you have say also, a WordPress website, lets say your cleaning business has 10 pages in total, build links also across the pages, not just the home page, but you do have to make sure every link is quality, white hat, or the website could move down on Google.

For a full overview, please see our help hub article here: https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority First, it's important to keep in mind that Domain Authority (DA) is a search engine ranking score developed by Moz that predicts how likely a website is to rank in search engine result pages (SERPs). It is not a Google ranking factor. Domain Authority scores range from one to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater likelihood of ranking. Since DA is based on machine learning calculations, your site's score will often fluctuate as more, fewer, or different data points become available and are incorporated into those calculations. For instance, if facebook.com were to acquire a billion new links, every other site’s DA would drop relative to Facebook’s. Because more established and authoritative domains like Facebook will have increasingly larger link profiles, they take up more of the high-DA slots, leaving less room at the higher end of the scale for other domains with less robust link profiles. Therefore, it's significantly easier to grow your score from 20 to 30 than it is to grow it from 70 to 80. For this reason, it’s important to use Domain Authority as a comparative metric rather than an absolute one. The best way to influence your DA is to improve your overall site health with a focus on the quality and quantity of external links pointing to your site. I'm looking to add some external links to a website. The homepage has a section showing the logos of clients the company has worked with. Is it worth making these logos links to the clients websites? Some of the clients are household names. However, I've noticed that very few websites do this. Would it add any value?0 -

DA vs PA when building links
When building links to your site from other sites, what is more important or what weights more heavily? Say a site has a DA of 20 and PA of 34 for that page I want a link from. Say another site has the revese, a DA of 34 and a PA of 20. All things being equal, which site's link to me would be better? The one with a higher DA or the one with a higher PA for the on the specific page I would get a link?

How good is a backlink that's in the footer
Hello, The strongest site in our industry (according to domain authority and excluding wikipedia) said that they would put a sitewide link to us in their footer. We're good friends with them. It would be right next to the copyright. Our site is nlpca (dot) com The partner site is nlpu (dot) com The link will say something like "More NLP Training" with the "NLP" as the link. We're targeting the keyword "NLP" How much will this move us up for the keyword "NLP"? Right now we're on the 3rd page for that term. I also want to make sure that it's a white hat move. Thanks!
