Facebook Promoted Offer
-
Does a "Facebook Promoted Offer" increase the count of the "Like" on a Facebook Page?
-
Thank you Jason!
-
That person will have to like the brand page in order to increase the likes on your brand page. The secondary like will only happen for the post and might only appear on that shared persons wall. But it will affect your analytics under the "viral" section of the facebook analaytics.

Thank you Jason! We'll use Facebook Ads and we'll target people who have not had interaction with our brand.
One last question:
If a friend of a friend that has not had any interaction with my Page clicks "Like" in my "Promoted post" or "Promoted offer", will this person increase the number of the fan Page?
Or, this friend of a friend must like the general "Brand Page" in order to increase the number of fan?
Many Thanks

Hi John, thank you so much for have shared with us your real data. It's very helpful! We'll try to use Facebook Ads instead of Facebook Promoted Posts.
Many Thanks

What johnny said is correct. The reason why Facebook offers promoted posts is that typically your posts will only appear to 6-10% of your "Like" following. By promoting your post, you increase the percentage of people who will see it and whose news feed it will show up in.
Promoted Posts however are not all that helpful in terms of primary clicking of likes. What I mean by this is that if you promote the post you are targeting the people who already "like" you. If that "Like" person shares your post, it will end up targeting their friends, hopefully gaining you a secondary "like", not a primary "like."
With Facebook advertising you are targeting people who have not had interaction with your brand and therefore have a higher likelihood to have higher returns on a primary "like" simply because of the the psycho-graphic that you choose.
I hope I explained this well.

If you mean, Promote a post, it will basically give your post prominence within the page of all your followers, and their followers if the post is liked.
Its certainly not as effective as using the standard advertising with FB ... but also is a lot more cost effective with relation to spend (one of fee less than $10 as opposed to an unlimited spend if you wish)
If you have lot of followers (likes) already,. it can be effective, if you are trying to build likes on any page, it may not be as effective.
I aint one to advocate people spending money on adverting with FB or Google if they don't need to, but if you are really trying to build followers with FB, and wish not to put in the hardwork by organically growing your page followers, FB's paid advertising certainly can help, as you can target your market specifically.
We used it for a client over one week period limiting his spend to $10 per day, targeting a very niche market, with the distinct objective of building likes in a trial scenario, and within that week, we grew his like from 84 to above 350 (an audience of less than 8,000 targets).
Hope that helps

Have you had success using adwords to promote blog content?
From time to time I see an ad pop up in search results for blog content and have often wondered how much success these ads have had in promoting the specific post. Does anyone have experience with this? What results did you see?

Best Apps for Tracking Google Analytics, Facebook Pages, and More?
Hi! I'm looking for an iPhone app that I can set up for a client so that he can view data from Google Analytics and Facebook (new "likes," "shares", etc). Is there any such thing? I'm not a big Apple user, but he is, and I'd like to find something that would work well for him. Thanks!

Why does my google analytics show a massive discrepancy from facebook's reported website clicks?
We're running a Facebook news feed ad that is pointing at our homepage. Facebook says that for yesterday there were 47 website clicks. Google analytics shows 15 total visitors from facebook with 3 of them landing on the homepage. I understand that there is likely going to be some discrepancy with users accidentally clicking and clicking back before the page loads, but this seems a little insane. I tested the ad using a page that pulls the Analytics cookie data using php and it is working properly so I don't understand what's happening. The url isn't tagged with utm parameters, which is going to be fixed. Anyone experience this or have any insight as to what could be this issue? Is this click fraud? Edit: For more clarification I was checking on my completely unfiltered google analytics profile/view.

Is it really worth it to invest on Facebook Ads?
Hi Guys, I've been wondering if it is really worth it to invest in facebook ads, there have been mixed reviews lately from the positive: http://techcrunch.com/2010/10/02/facebook-bigger-google/ to the more negative: http://www.seobook.com/facebook-vs-google-no-contest/ The industry I am trying to optimize for is gadget related, I've been running some adwords on it but I would want to venture on the social bandwagon which is facebook. Any Ideas? Suggestions? Reactions? Experiences you can share so I can come up with a better decision? Thanks A Bunch!
