Unsolved How Should I Increase DA of my Website?
-
Google itself has been troubled by ranking factors. On top of that, the https://moz.com/ has worn a new garland of domain authority. It is even more regrettable when a website DA suddenly decreased. As recently on 22nd September, my website's DA was 16. As usual, on September 23, I posted a new informational blog related to QuickBooks antivirus exclusions on my website. The very next day my website DA was decreased.
Can anyone who knows SEO help me understand why this always happens specially to me every time? I read the whole forum and all I found out is how my site's DA is decreased.
Can anyone let us know whether we can increase the Domain Authority of our website only by creating backlinks or there can be some other activities also? -
Hi @ravigaurav , I understand your frustration with Domain Authority (DA) fluctuations—it’s a common challenge for many website owners. DA is a metric developed by Moz and is influenced by various factors, including the quality and quantity of backlinks, site structure, and overall SEO health. The drop in your DA could be due to a variety of reasons, like a recalibration of Moz’s algorithm or even a decrease in the quality or number of backlinks pointing to your site.
While backlink building is essential to improving DA, it’s important to remember that DA is a holistic metric. Here are some other strategies to consider alongside building quality backlinks:
1.Improve On-Page SEO: Ensure your site’s technical health, including mobile-friendliness, page speed, and user experience. These factors indirectly impact how search engines view your site’s authority.
2.Content Quality: Publishing high-quality, engaging content like you did with your QuickBooks blog can help, but consistency and addressing user intent are key.
3.Internal Linking: Strengthening your internal linking structure can pass authority within your site and improve overall SEO.
4.Engage with Social Media: Although social media signals don’t directly affect DA, promoting your content on various platforms can help drive traffic and increase the chances of others linking back to your site.
-
To increase your website's Domain Authority (DA), focus on building high-quality backlinks from reputable sites, as backlinks are key to boosting DA. Create valuable, shareable content that attracts links naturally. Optimize your on-page SEO by improving site structure, meta tags, and keyword usage. Ensure your site is mobile-friendly, loads quickly, and provides a great user experience. Engage in social media marketing to drive traffic, and regularly update your content to keep it fresh and relevant. Patience and consistency are essential!

To increase the Domain Authority (DA) of your website, follow these strategies:
High-Quality Backlinks: Focus on getting backlinks from authoritative and relevant sites. Guest posting, outreach, and partnerships can help build strong links.
Create Valuable Content: Publish unique, well-researched, and engaging content that people find useful. This increases the likelihood of earning natural backlinks.
Optimize On-Page SEO: Ensure proper use of meta tags, titles, keywords, and internal linking structure. Clean, SEO-friendly code also helps.
Improve User Experience: Make sure your website is fast, mobile-friendly, and easy to navigate. A better user experience leads to more engagement, reducing bounce rates.
Promote Content on Social Media: Increased traffic and shares can indirectly boost your DA by improving your site's visibility.

Hire a SEO guy and he will worry about that. If you are looking for free you need to understand following:-
What DA is?
Why it was made?
How it is evaluated?
How can I gain it?"From my personal experience it takes years to build and just few moments to destroy" Two years at Medicinal Mad Honey and still on the move.

Hey Ravigaurav,
Domain Authority (DA) fluctuations can be confusing. There are a few things to keep in mind when it comes to changes in DA, and it’s not just about backlinks.
Moz Updates: Moz periodically updates its algorithm, which can affect DA across the board. This may explain the sudden drop you noticed after the 23rd. It's a common occurrence and can happen even if nothing drastic changed on your site.
DA is Relative: Remember, DA isn’t just about your site alone. It's relative to all other sites. If competitors are building stronger links or improving their SEO, it can impact your score.
Backlink Quality Matters: It’s not only about getting backlinks but ensuring they’re from relevant, high-authority sites. A drop in the quality of one or more of your referring domains could impact your DA.
Other SEO Factors: While backlinks are crucial, other factors like on-page SEO, site performance (speed, mobile-friendliness), and user engagement (low bounce rate, longer time on page) play a role too.
Rather than focusing only on backlinks, I'd recommend a well-rounded approach—content quality, technical SEO, and link-building all together can have a more lasting impact.
Hope that will help you, if not you can reply for more details. You can check out resources like this for more detailed guidance.

Links on my website do not get highlighted by Moz bar in Chrome
I've used the Moz bar for many years to quickly figure out if a link is followed or no-followed. I recently used a Wordpress plugin to build lists of subjects and excerpts of pages with appropriate links. An example is at https://www.chicagotraveler.com/chicago-parks/ This is the main Parks section page. Below the map is a set of links and descriptions of each park in this section of the site. The problem is that when I use the Moz bar to look at this page, the links are not highlighted no matter which settings I click on. Followed, No-followed, External or Internal. I've looked at the code and while there is a bit of css nearby the links, they look fairly normal. Does this mean that moz thinks there is something wrong. Do you think google will also ignore these links? Should I scrap the plugin and build and maintain these lists manually?

Why is the Moz tool bar page analysis saying my website is from Romania when we are in the United States?
So when I go to my client's website, https://www.paracore.com/ and on the home page, I use the Moz toolbar. From there I then use the "Page Analysis." If you look at the "URL" line there is a Romanian flag next to the site name. Then I scroll down within the page analysis and the "Country" line says Romania. This is a WordPress site, and the company is based in Arizona. Can anyone explain to me if this is code that I can find and change or remove? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
