How do I change HTML title, and add H1 tags with Volusion? and why is it so hard!?!?! wordpress is WAYY better.
-
So I could go in depth with this and tell you all about the problems I have encountered with Volusion... but i'm not.
I just need to help a client change the 7,000 product pages they have that have duplicated title tags, and no H1 tags.
(probably one of the worst case of On-Page SEO set ups ever right? Shouldn't Volusion be built to help you do these types of essentials easily? Or (for the price) even better would be to do it automatically based on the product name??)
-
Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm facing the same problem of adding H1 and H2 title tags to the product pages.

Hello, thank you for answering this question, Shane. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have other specific questions about using Volusion - especially as it relates to SEO.
Regards,
Nathan

Does this help?

I would also try their support, it says with purchase, you get lifetime support on product, and SEO as you mention should be a hallmark of any CMS (these days)

Splitting Copy between H1 and non-H1
My copywriter and designer are putting together a new homepage design that eliminates my H1, which is currently my primary term. After I let them know that it's imperative to have that term included in the H1, they asked what I would think about splitting their newly proposed tagline up into H1 and non-H1 content using CSS to style both segments the same way. To the user the tagline would read something like:

Problems with Squarespace Title Tags
Hi All, I'm having problems editing the title tags on individual pages on Squarespace. It seems the only way to do it is via the page title name. Here is an example: http://www.autismsees.com/research/. The page is called research, so it makes that the meta title. The problem is I want to keep research on the page and the Meta Title be: Autism Spectrum Research. I'v tried searching over the web, but no luck so far. Thanks for your help.

Title tags seem to be going against Rand and suggestions here, what can I do? Can you help me please?
Hi to all, Ok so I have been beating myself up trying to figure out how to create a good ranking title for my websites homepage. My competition uses commas in its title tags But these are 100% against what Rand and many posts say here. I watched his whiteboard where he says don't use commas. There are posts that say, don't use commas. The biggest one is mortonbuildings(dot)com - followed by - lesterbuildings(dot)com They basically have the same title tags with commas. So what's the catch here? What am I missing? of course these sites have Great Domain Authority, but I swear what they are doing is going against what Rand and many other seo professional's are preaching. I thought it should read better for visitors? But to me it looks like keyword stuffing with a brand name? Any help is greatly appreciated to let me know if these commas and strategies are good to do? or bad news? Again thank you for your time to help a small business. Chris

We do not have enough content rich page to target all of our keywords. Because of that My SEO guy wants to set some corner stone blog articles in order to rank them for certain key words on Google. He is asking me to use the following rule in our article writing(We have blog on our website):

For example in our articles when we use keyword "wolf", link them to the blog page:
https://www.mywebsite.com/blog/tag/wolf/
It seems like a good idea because in the tag page there are lots of material with the Keyword "wolf" . But the problem is when I search for keyword "wolf" for example on the Google, some other blog pages are ranked higher than this tag page. But he tells me in long run it is a better strategy. Any idea on this?0 -
