What's better, lots of keyword targeted pages or fewer pages with more traffic going into them?
-
We have just introduced targeted pages for all of our keywords, however their is lots of overlap with existing established pages. For instance for the keyword Small Meeting Rooms we have the new page, titled Small-Meeting-Rooms which is now competing with the more established Meeting-Rooms.
Its early days for both pages, about 2 weeks and 6 weeks respectively. But is it counterproductive to spread out our search juice between lost of pages? Should we just focus on a few?
Any feedback, especially feedback based on real experiences is much appreciated!?

Real experience:
We had travel guides with 1 page about travel itineraries on each destination covered.
(e.g. Rome Itineraries)That page was doing good but we decided to create other 3 pages to target longer keywords: 1 day Rome Itineraries, 3 days Rome Itineraries, 5 days Rome Itineraries (not exactly that keywords but somethign like that).
New pages have been linked from the "old" well performing one. We replaced the content of the old page (it was about 1 day, 3 days, 5 days itineraries) to avoid any internal duplicate content issue and created new fresh content for the new pages.
Results:
Traffic increase in 2/3 months. Moreover we observed decreased bounce rates since we were finally serving all the user with an exact intent (e.g. "5 days itinerary in Rome") with good and focused content.
IMHO, having lot of pages targeting a lot of keywords it's good but you have to pay attention on content differentiation. Different keywords, different pages, different GOOD content.

A Solution to Keywords Being Grouped in Google Keyword Planner
Hi guys, I am trying to get search traffic for a list of keywords which I put together a few years ago for one of my clients, this was before Google made changes to their Keyword Planner. When I am adding the list into Google Keyword Planner it is "grouping" a number of the keywords/phrases together, and therefore removing 13 of the keywords from the original list of 59 keywords. Is there a way around this so I can get search volume for the original list, and not the cut down one? I am specifically using Google Keyword Planner as I want to get search volume for a number of specific locations in the UK. Any comments/feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Jack. Should I include my 3 locations as keywords on various pages throughout my site or just the homepage and individual location pages?
For example, I'm optimizing for multiple industries and services. Should I add location keywords on each industry and service page? Construction CPA, Construction Accountant or Construction CPA, Construction Accountant, location, location, location I'm including location keywords on homepage and will have a unique contact us page for each location.

What is 'SEO copywriting' in 2015?
Howdy forum-fans! I've been toying with the idea for a while now, that 'SEO copywriting' and 'writing for Google' is no longer something that SEO's should be focusing on, but rather writing great, relevant, unique content for customers. The theory is that Google is smart enough to pick up on this and, via it's algorithms, know that it's content worth ranking as it'll be useful to people searching for queries related to the content. Additionally a well written peice of content should naturally contain keywords, phrases and links, taking away some of the overthinking that I've sometimes experienced (first hand) when writing content. What does everyone think? Is 'Writing for Google' dead in 2015 and, if so, has 'Writing for customers' replaced it? Or is there still a place for SEO copywriting; Eg. Well formed titles, URLs, meta-data (does this count as copywriting?)

How do you check keyword rankings for your sites?
The other day I used Rank Tracker form SEO PowerSuite and SEO small tools ranking checker http://smallseotools.com/keyword-position/ to check a keyword ranking. Both said that my clients keyword is not in top 50, but when I used Rank Tracker from Moz.com it showed that my client's keyword ranks #30 ! What's the tool that works for you all the time and is 100% reliable?

Best way to find keyword to write a post that will get 50 visitors a day in Google traffic?
Hi - I have a blog with good PR (4) but not much search traffic. I am interested in targeting keywords on a single blog post basis rather than site wide. The current search traffic is so low I can't really base looking for keywords off the keywords people are already arriving from. The only tool I know is the Google keyword tool. I am tired of writing posts that get zero search visitors most days, so would like to try to target some terms that will get around 50 search visits per day to that specific post. Best approach?

Suggestions for RU Keyword Research
Does anyone have suggestions for a better RU keyword tool than Yandex and/or is there a way to see exact searches in Yandex's keyword tool? It seems like the data is not at all accurate. For example - we are ranked #2 for a keyword which has over 40,000 monthly searches (searches according to Yandex keyword tool and position confirmed with someone doing a manual search in Russia). However, we are not getting any traffic for this keyword and according to Yandex webmaster tools the keyword only got 10 impressions this past month. Any ideas for me... or would using Google be preferable eventhough people in Russia don't really use Google?
