Dashes "-" in keyword?
-
Just running over the page/keyword analyzer and Moz picked up the fact that my link and title are not the same as the keyword I am targeting.
I am targeting the keyword "Battlefield 4 CD Key"
However my title (and therefore link) are Battlefield 4 CD-Key. Note the dash.
Does the dashes matter in SEO or should I try to remove them and have continuity through all of the page.

Agreed - the hyphen will make little difference.
-
It really makes very little difference to be honest, if anything you have more chance of ranking for both with the hyphen in place. How is your site performing for those keyphrases?

Should I block google indexing "search.php"
My question is I have a search page on our website , you can search by date, number of people staying and so on, I am just wondering should block this in the robots.txt ? Because we have pretty URL'S already for searching by county and searching by towns. I cannot see any benefit of having e.g "search/search.php?sp_dateFrom=16%2F12%2F2015&sp_dateTo=23%2F12%2F2015&sec_drop%5B%5D=727&spesh_town_id=764&q=&occupants=5&bedrooms=3&submit=SEARCH#search" indexed. Would I be correct in doing this ?

What are your thoughts on keyword density?
Useless metric? Good as an indicator, but not of any real value? Best way to judge how well content is optimised? I've heard all kinds of opinions, what's yours? Thanks!

One or two keywords/pages
Hi, I have a question about good keyword practice. I have a page: http://www.holdnyt.dk/skader-karantaener/fodbold/england-premier-league It lists all injuries ("skader" in danish) and suspensions ("karantaener" in danish) for the english premier league in football/soccer. On the page one can choose to show only injuries OR suspensions, which have their own URLs: http://www.holdnyt.dk/skader-karantaener/fodbold/england-premier-league/skader http://www.holdnyt.dk/skader-karantaener/fodbold/england-premier-league/karantaener My question is - what is best. To optimize the first URL (the more general one) to fit both of the following keywords:

"skader premier league" and "karantaener premier league" OR should i focus on optimizing the two latter URLs, the more specfiic to target the two keywords. Regards, Rasmus0 -

Should you try to rank for misspelled keywords?
Hi there, 2 part question: Is it best practice to try to rank for misspelled keywords that bring in lots of traffic or should you instead just try to rank for the correct spelling of that keyword and hope that you rank better on the misspelling as an indirect result? E.G. The misspelled keyword "Hamilton island accomodation" is a common misspelling that brings in traffic but we have an "F" rank for that term (obviously because we spell accommodation correctly on our site). We don't want to misspell anything but are there techniques to rank better for misspellings that won't hurt content quality? The On-Page Optimization tool says that our website doesn't rank in the top 50 on Google Aus for "Accomodation Hamilton Island" or "Hamilton Island Accomodation" but when i do a manual search, we actually are the first result. Is this an error with the On-Page optimization tool? Thanks!

How to make google not index quotes from other sites?
Hey guys, I have a site where we post quite a lot of info from other sites. We don't want google to de-index our pages because parts of it are quotes from other sites. What would you use to make it so Google sees it's a quote from another site? Or to just make Google not index the quote? Thanks!
