AdWords Negative Keywords
-
Hello community!
I got a bit stuck with negative keywords management today!
I have updated the negative keyword list and as it can be shared among all my active campaign I put it into the shared library. But when I downloaded the recent changes on Editor I can't get to see the new negatives and I can't check their match types.
Do I have to upload the list on Editor for each campaign?
Thanks

Hello John,
I was hoping there was a quicker way to do that. Anyway, thanks a lot for you answer!
Cheers
Oscar

Adwords Editor doesn't download the negative keyword or placements lists from your shared library or allow you to edit these. You have to use the web interface to edit the keywords in the list (including match type), and also to link the list to every campaign you want it to apply to.
If you need to make many bulk edits, you could download the list, delete the original list, and then copy/paste the new list of negative keywords.
To indicate match type when adding the keywords here, you need to put brackets around exact match keywords, for example: [keyword], quotes around phrase match keywords, for example: "keyword", and nothing for broad match keywords, for example: keyword. You can easily wrap those around keywords in Excel using the concatenate command.

Negative keywords on AdWords account, but mispelling in customer query still triggers ad. Possible to avoid?
Ok, So this really p*#%d me off the other day. I've built an extremely comprehensive list of Negative keywords for our trade bookbinding pages on Ad words. Amongst 100's of others, I've also included every City, Town, Village, and County in the UK so our Ads don't get triggered by local search intent. However, we're still getting clicks from searches like this one: **'binding services n worcestr' ** Question: If Google won't assume this is a misspelling of one of our Neg KW, how I can I possibly protect the account from this type of search? Is this something we just have to accept having KW's on broad match mod/ phrase match?

How to Preserve Capitalization of Specific Letters in AdWords?
I've used dynamic keyword insertion variations in Google Adwords, but here's one that's a bit tricky and I'm starting to think the only way to do it is to create a unique campaign group for this keyword without DKI to pull it off. Trying to dynamically insert the keyword actiNOS, but see no way to over-ride DKI in the campaign for this term. Any ideas or suggestions, or do I need to create a separate adgroup without DKI for this term?

Adwords and Analytics figures not matching up
We are currently running a A/B test on a landing page using only adwords to split the traffic. Looking at the figures in adwords has given us a higher number of conversions than the analytics is giving us in transactions. The conversion rate is also different. The only visitors this page is getting is from Adwords. Can someone please help us understand why this is? Cheers Al

Exact url dynamic keyword insertion
A competitor of ours is using dynamic keyword insertion for exact urls in our field. I'm not 100% clear on this, but isn't that not allowed in adwords? I am not one that usually turns in a competitor for shady doings, but I'm not sure what to do. Any advice?

Has anyone seen a recent study on % of clicks on Adwords vs Organic results?
HI, I am trying to find out what percentage of people click on organic search results on Google versus the percentage of people who click on advertisements. I have found many references online to studies that supposedly say 70-80% of clicks go to organic results and the rest go to ads, but I have never seen an actual study claiming this, let alone a recent one. Can anyone help? many thanks in advance, Annemieke
