How To Remove Fake Social Media Likes

Hi there Mozzers,
Unfortunately I used a black hat seo company for my website at http://greatedmontonhomes.ca in the past. Over the last while I've been able to clean up quite a few of the bad links going to the site, but the company also engaged in buying fake Facebook likes and Tweets.
Is there any way to clean these up?

Right... and I bet that they would be really embarrassed to say who is "liking them".... or maybe they would spin the explanation into some real BS.

I dont know about such tool, but let me say this: I would not worry too much about purchased likes, as # of likes or followers aren't a piece of Google's algo in determining rank. Rather, I would do a very thorough job cleaning up crappy and unnatural links and those you cannot get rid of disavow and show the genuine efforts you have made in cleaning up the mess. This should position yourself well for a fresh start.

Is it possible to modify the default social sources in Google Analytics?
In the newest Google Analytics there's a section called 'Social' which tracks traffic from FB, Twitter and other social sites. For some reason it doesn't include Instagram (which is the one that matters to me, though I'm sure there are many others that it doesn't include either.) Social Media + MOZ Open site explorer
Hello Everyone, When i run a report on Open site explorer, it says that our website has 129 Facebook likes and 129 tweets. However, our website has had over 4k Facebook likes and i imagine much more than 129 mentions of our url on twitter. Can any one shed any light on this? Thanks 🙂

Page Speed and Social sharing bookmarks - how to balance
I've been having some challenges on my page load times and am in process of addressing. Some of the issues are my pictures(so I'm in process of condensing), but part of the issue (according to pingdom.com) is my social sharing. I was using 1 click retweet, and when I changed this to Sexy bookmarks, it seemed to improve. But, I'm wondering 2 things: 1. Do you guys have any recos on which plugin is best to use and takes least time to load (I'm not sure if this is contraditory). My priority is G+/Tw/FB. 2. On my sexybookmarks, it's strange because visually, the plugin is not showing up correctly. Where the G+ button should be, it's invisible. Ironically it works, if I click on it, but a normal person is not going to realize it's there. Any suggestions? In case it helps, my site is TheFlooringGirl.com. I don't think the plugin shows up there, but it does show up at the bottom of all of my blog posts. Thx. I appreciate any guidance you can provide.

Facebook Like button on website: which "URL to Like"? Website or Facebook Page?
Hello, I have a question about the Facebook Like Button. We we are setting up a Like Button to put on the top page of our website (300 likes) However, we already have a Facebook Page (1000 likes). Now, in the set up of the button, we need to decide which "URL to Like" and I really do cannot realize which one is best. "Likes" on a photo gallery
From my understanding its best to get likes on a website rather then from within the Facebook page for SEO purposes. What is better to set up a photo gallery with a like button on each image so that every URL gets liked separately for each image or having a like button for the entire gallery. 10 likes on one page or 1 like on 10 pages?

Is it a good idea to outsource social media optimization or is it something that has to be done in-house? Widgets like Facebook Like and AddThis - Any Negative SEO?
I could go widget crazy with my website, there are so many cool buttons and linking this and likes and etc. There's one that is used a lot, called "Addthis" that adds a series of small icons to share a page via facebook, twitter, etc. The javascript looks innocent enough, but there's a link, and who knows what google makes of it. Then there are the dozen or so Facebook widgets - are they safe to use without negative SEO consequences? Does anyone know of any other pitfalls with using the numerous addons offered free to enhance your site? Thanks for any wisdom out there! Jean
